I asked to send this back as after a week of use the pull cord at the neck became detached. As I have no printer since my house was flooded I decided that it would be easier to repair it myself than to try and send it back (I live in the fells well away from habitation). Today I finally reattached the cord by stitching through the suit and the cord (I also strengthened the other end just in case). Overall this suit has been a great benefit, it is very wet here much of the time and this stops my Cockapoo puppy getting soaked. She used to shiver once wet as she has no undercoat but with the raincoat on she is fine out for longer wet walks. I added a fleece underneath when it was snowy and she was warm and happy to be out.It is a bit big (too long in the back) but the smaller size would have been too small and at least it will last her longer. Once the cords are adjusted at neck and waist it stays in place. It would be improved with longer legs as in the snow she still got horrendous snow balls on her legs which took ages to remove. One problem is that the drawcord for the neck is pulled under the body so that if it needs to be snug on a dog with small neck the cord is left dangling down and gets caught by a paw. I try and tuck it in but it works its way out as she runs. Another improvement would be to have a catch of some sort at the back of the neck to hold in place while putting back legs in and zipping up a wriggly pup. The neck cover works to do, by popping it on after getting the front legs in, this but is not secure and is cumbersome. After repairing it this morning we have been out in torrential rain for 45mins and puppy's body is just damp and only head and legs soggy.

Superb coat and very nicely made. We bought two of these coats for our 5 month old Cockapoo puppies. The 35cm size fits them really well and the adjusters in the chest and neck mean the coat can be adjusted for the individual dog. The rain collar can easily be removed but I have left if on as I like the way to provides an additional closure for the zip behind the shoulders. Our puppies have only worn the coat for short periods so far but they have not had any problems walking in them, although I would not recommend leaving a young dog to walk down stairs/steps in them as the coat marginally alters the dog's gait when negotiating steps. I particularly like the reflective piping on the coat which will help make the dogs more visible in the dark.I will also attach some Knog LED lights to the chest and neck adjusters so the dog is visible from all angles at night. I've deducted 1 star as the legs only come down to the knees. That said, the elasticated bottoms keep the legs closed close to the leg and, unlike some much more expensive brands we've used for other dogs in the past, this coat does not suffer with velcro leg closures which quickly lose their grip once muddy. Overall a really nice coat.

Great! My dogs over the funny noise it makes as she moves. Bit like a stiff hairdressers cape. Cuffs weren't very tight so the legs slip over her feet. Bought Velcro straps from Homebase that solved that. Bought a larger one for her as the next size down was too small. Easier being larger. She's big for her breed. King Charles Cavalier. Her white coat and feathers often spoilt soon after bathing. Chest covered but nice free tummy/bum. There's a good fabric guard about 2cm to stop coat getting caught too. I advise you to go with back length and allow it to be a little longer, say 1-1.5cm, rather than smaller. I got the wrong size at first but they exchanged it quickly without fuss. Highly recommend.Lasting well. She is even off lead with it. Please get the Velcro straps too if too loose around ankle. I tried hair ties but were either too loose or worse, too tight! Velcro, see photo, is safer. And kinder.

I bought one of these a couple of months ago, and decided to buy another for our other dog to replace his coat from last year. I actually prefer that the legs are shorter as his old coat had long legs that got wet and mucky inside when he went through puddles. This is so much better as the sleeves are higher up so don't drag in puddles, but keeps his body warm and dry. His belly is sensitive as his fur is thin, so it's essential that this keeps dry otherwise he gets a nasty rash. This coat is perfect for that as its waterproof and doesn't rub his sensitive areas. I just take the coat off after a walk, towel dry their paws and they're good as new. I hang them up to dry and just shake the mud off when dried out. They also wash well. Quality is as good as Hurtta coats that are 4 times the price, so I'm really happy.

Love this coat, liked it so much I bought a second one in a different colour. It fits my Bichon/Westie perfectly. He is quite deep in the chest area but also quite long & only has short legs. This one is easy to put on & take off, there is velcro on the leg bottoms to fit round his legs, the neck is adjustable & also has a popper. Two elasticated panels at chest area with easy to fasten clasps & the top & bottom of the full length zip are enclosed so don't get stiff after wet weather. I have used these coats for over a year now & they still look good with no visible wear.I pop them in the washer with a tiny squeeze of washing up liquid on a 59 minute cycle, hang them on a hook & they are ready for the next muddy walk & only 4 muddy paws to wash on our return.Perfect for our white dog.

Great raincoat. This makes a huge difference to my muck heap digging, mud and puddle loving dog. He is able to waddle in the mud, dig and stay 70% clean- which is great news as he gets exceptionally wet and dirty. This eliminates the need for so much hosing- though face, tail, below hocks and knees still require a wash! The XXL is a good fit, he's 60cm from collar to top of tail and is a small, narrow built border collie. The leg length is good. He is incredibly fast and agile and once he got over the initial newness of it was able to run at his usual speed. The overall design is good, though I'm not sure he clears the suit when peeing! It will require a daily wash and dry but I think its quality should withstand this- at least for the winter!Going to buy another.

I had to make a decision... As my very small cavalier is slightly inbetween sizes. Luckily I made the right decision to buy a small, it fits him very well. We have other coats similar to this but more heavyweight and I wanted a full cover coat for milder wet weather.A TIP. I always thread elastic through the legs and bottom holed area to make it fit without gaping. I've done this with every full coat he's owned. One thing though, it is odd that the front legs are short!? I would have preferred it long like the back legs. We haven't tried it out doors yet but he has tried it on. I do think the neck would be better to be a little higher, but it looks lovely on him,we will wash when needed in nix wax proofer and re spray when needed.I will be buying another!

These are terrific little raincoats. They don’t bother my dogs at all when previous sorts have left them unwilling to walk in. Not bulky, not too rustly, lightweight but good quality. The only tricky areas i’ve experienced are that the elasticated cuffs are awkward to stretch open while guiding the paw in (painfully easy to catch a nail) & i have to also remember to turn the cuffs up once on as they tend to slide over & off the dogs leg leaving them trapped otherwise. Took 3 different sizes before i got the right fit! (despite thoroughly measuring & comparing every bit of them with the size guides). They keep my pair dry & clean, just a little foot wipe is all that’s needed & the raincoats clean up lovely too.

Brilliant service. Bought the large thinking I might need extra belly room for my dog for movement as stated in the description but the large coat was to big. Was able to return it for free by a helpful member of staff on the phone to amazon customer service. If you want to return it and click you want a replacement they will automatically send you the same size. I thought I'd get a choice via email before they sent abother but this wasnt the case. Quickly amended with free fast delivery added on by Amazon customer service. The medium coat fits great. Her legs stay in it and she is able to run and jump whilst wearing it playing with her ball on the field. Love this coat.

This raincoat fits lovely!! It's good quality and has a zip along the back so this is easy to put on. Short on the front legs to accommodate to carpal pad, and longer on the back legs. It has an adjustable elastic waist so that your boy can do his business, but keeps the tummy dry. Also has an adjustable elastic front and a popper collar which can be removed if you want to but will keep your dog dry if you walk with a harness and not a collar.my dog was a little confused by the noise when walking the first time as it has a crinkly sound, but soon got used to it. Arrived quickly too. I got a medium size which was a great fit for my Shih tsu/Bichon cross.

It would have been great for keeping the dirt off of our Springer spaniel. We planned to wear it over a sweater or cosy jacket but didn't keep it. We bought a large which was very small, more suited to a large small dog, a little smaller than our spaniel, and the elasticated cuffs of the legs were too tight. We were able to return it with no problems. We ordered an xxxl, but that was for maybe the size of a labrador, but again, the elasticated cuffs of the legs were still tight. Sadly, we had to return the coat but there was no problem doing so. A size xl or xxl may have been a better fit for our spaniel, but the cuffs would still have been tight.

This little suit is great. Nice quality, is adjustable round the neck and body with draw cords. The legs are not too long and don't fall down over paws like previous suits. My dog is a shih tzu and measures 16 inches base of neck to base of tail, which suggests medium size, but I followed two other reviewer' s advice and ordered small. Fits perfectly and the fabric underneath is short enough to allow dog to toilet without getting it on the jacket. Dog also doesn't seem to mind wearing it, can move about and run comfortably as normal. Very happy with purchase, as the mud in the park will no longer be a problem on rainy days, with this suit.

This is very good quality, arrived quickly. Relatively easy to get on and off as zips all the way down the back like an anorak. Why only 4 stars? I have a small shaggy dog with short legs so bought a size small. This fits perfectly in the body but the legs only reach halfway down my dogs legs and the detachable hood only covers his neck not head. Wore out for a muddy walk and came back with filthy coat and clean dog, apart from his lower legs. Coat washed well in the washing machine on a 40deg wash on the quick cycle and dried overnight hung up by radiator.Just a shame not longer in legs

I purchased this for my 9 month old La-Chon, it fits beautifully. The suit is very well made and my little lady seems to be quiet comfortable wearing it, the leg length is great and the elasticated cuffs and draw strings provide a nice fit but with still a little room for her to grow. With the awful rain we have been having, this is perfect for keeping all main areas clean and dry, a quick dry of the paws and head is all that's needed after a long wet walk.I Would definatly recommend this product, but, if you have a longer legged breed of dog you may find the legs a little short.

Really happy with this coat. I've been looking for thin overall coat for my dog for ages, and finally found one I'm happy with. We also have a fleece coat which is great, but she gets too warm when it's just wet and not very cold, so this does the job nicely. It's a good price too and the quality is as good at the £70 Hurtta coat that we bought last year and sent back as the sizing wasn't right for her. It's light and thin and fits nicely so she can still run around freely. Can't go wrong for £20! She is a tall slim staffy, about the size of a springer spaniel and XL fits nicely.
