Really smart dog coat.I am puzzled about the reviews that say this product is badly made - because mine looks great.I ordered XXL based on reviews on here saying the coat came up small. I have a small German Shepherd 26 kilos.The coat is lovely. Waxed exterior, beautifully finished, with a little collar that can be worn up on the neck for extra protection. However, this was way too big for her. I should have trusted my instincts as she's not a large dog, and is smaller than a labrador - so I'm sending this back for the XL.The coat is secured with a velcro band, It has lots of scope for adjustment for dogs with skinny and large girths. There is velcro at the neck and its a nice fit, again adjustable.

I have a a 9 year old weimaraner, who carries no weight, but is tall and 43kilos. He is on the larger size of a Weim. neck to tail 60. I bought the xxl after reading other reviews and it's a perfect. over teh years we have tried to find suitable jackets, but because of the shape and size of the Weimaraners chest and legs (if looking for boots) is near impossible. If I had any criticism on this product, it would be that they do not follow up on teh velcro with actual button stoppers. The ones there are to add weight, so it hangs correctly and for show. However, you do actually need these, but they have no functionality other than adding the weight. This is light weight and good for rain.

I have slightly mixed feelings about this item. It is nicely made and looks well on my Dobermann. It is warm, but did not initially repel water. I have since applied a waterproofing treatment.The loops that her rear legs go into have been modified by me to allow easier fitment. (I have cut the loops at the end and fitted small toggles that go through loops sewn on to the coat)She has no problem wearing it and as with her lead, getting it out means a walk, so she is very happy to have it fitted. I find that she sits if this is done on a carpeted floor and stands,(which is best) on tiles.A bonus is that the coat keeps a lot of the dirt she used to get on "HER COAT" off her,

I purchased this coat for an elderly Labrador who has lost his own coat due to a terminal illness. I ordered the XX Large as this was stated to be the size for a Labrador, although my boy is a standard size for a Lab the coat was much too big.I contacted the seller and told I need a replacement size X Large quickly and they promptly sent me a replacement for the one I had returned.The coat is of good quality and the X Large fits my Lab perfectly, but unfortunately each time I put it on him he just stands frozen to the floor, I think he thinks he is being punished either that or he is disgusted that I would expect a Gun dog Breed to wear any form of clothing.

Great looking coat of a really good quality probably not the warmest coat but we have a Labrador retriever who has a thick coat so just bought it as a rain coat .Sizing guide is way off which we found out after we ordered we found we needed an Xtra large the Large would fit a springer spaniel , This coat does not cover the dogs neck like some coats do so great if your dog wears a harness. The measurement needs to be taken from your dogs withers/shoulder blades and make sure it covers his/her back end .Length wise it fits well but the body strap is a little to big for our dog and from time to time the leg strap press studs pop off but our Lab has big back legs .For the price on of the best coats

Timberwolf Wax coat XXL. I bought this coat for my large male German Shepherd and was pleasantly surprised at the high quality finish and excellent materials . It is easily fitted using the Velcro straps under the belly and across the chest. No fiddling. It also has elastic at the rear sides to fit over the dog's hind legs, but I have not found any need to use these. It has light tartan padding inside. Very smart.I was so pleased I bought another coat for my second young German Shepherd who is rather huge and still growing. He stands 6 foot on his hind legs and I was worried the coat would be too small. Need not have worried, totally brilliant. Fits very well. Best of all,

I bought this for my German Shepherd/Lab cross who has pretty bad arthritis. I bought it in order to protect his fragile bones from the cold rain. I've always had difficulty getting coats for him as he has quite a thick neck, long body and awkwardly bulky (not fat) waist. I bought him an XXL which I quickly realised was a mistake. It's huge!! Totally my fault as I didn't look thoroughly enough into the measurements. It will instead go to my St. Bernard once she grows up (if she'll have it!). It's made out of a really nice material and I'm sure had it fit him he would have looked wonderful! I would recommend but would advise to thoroughly look at the measurements to avoid disappointment.

I own a 2.5 year old female labrador. She's of normal weight and size for her age and breed, so I purchased the recommended size. This was too tight on her, so I exchanged it for a larger size which the company handled greatly.Rain and snow: Keeps her back 100% dry, reducing drying time once we're home. Of course she gets wet underneath as she walks through puddles, but that's nature; no fault of the coat!Minor "problems": The elasticated straps for her hind legs come undone as soon as she begins walking and if they don't, she unsnaps them herself haha. However, this does not stop the coat from staying in position, so isn't an issue at all.Great purchase!

GREAT STUFF ALL PEOPLE WHOME SEEN IT ON ME ESS SAID ATLEAST 35-45 from pets at home ECT shops really shocked at quality of this jacket and my ESS is 11 mths old and fits a treat with room for growth even thought he big for his age only fault is back leg straps whic are excellent but left hand straps starting to give BUT BE ASSURED U WILL BE CHUFFED AT THE QUALITY OF THESE DOG COATS WELL DONE MUDDY PAWS FOR NOT BLAGGING ITS QUALITY ITS A SMASHING BUY do check as they say size but I ordered springer spainel size and BANG ON :) like said strap on back is going but THIS SHOULD NOT PUT ANYONE OFF THIS PRODUCT HONEST GREAT FOR OUR NEEDS :) keep it up muddy paws :)

I must be honest here, when it stated "wax" jacket, i kind of was expecting a cheap barbour type fabric, which it isnt at all. its more of a polyester fabric with a DWR coating on it.the quality is actually really good for the money and will keep my dog warm on those cold winter days. im not sure how the "wax" coating will cope after a wash or two, but i do have some grangers that i use for my goretex to put on it if it ceases to repel water.one thing you must do is MEASURE your dog first as i ordered a medium for a gorgie and eneded up having to get a large for himthe seller was very good with returns and sent out the new one in 2 days.

Bought this for my Hungarian Vizsla and couldn't be more satisfied. The coat fits perfectly, is only a second's job to fit on, it stays in place (quite an achievement if you know Vizslas!) and keeps my girl warm and dry in the very worst weather. It also looks very smart and quite sporty! There are elastic straps with poppers to go around the back legs - personally I just tie these in a quick double knot underneath in case they might rub - Vizslas have long very active legs with hardly any fur on their under carriage - and it works a treat. Am getting a second one and would definitely recommend to anyone - a brilliant buy!

Well made coat, pleased with the quality and the service from the seller as it arrived very quickly, i would just like to add that you need to really look at the measurements of the coat you intend buying for your dog as the reviews said that the XXL was suitable for my dogs breed and size and it is in fact a bit big for him which isnt a problem as i can alter it to fit him but maybe i should have double checked the actual measurements instead of just assuming what i read was correct if that makes sense? It really is a great dog coat though, value for money and the service from the seller is excellent.

This is the second Muddy paws dog coat I have purchased for my labrador. The first is fleece lined and warm. The reason for the second one is a more lightweight version for rainy days in warmer weather.My dog fully accepts wearing a coat with no fuss and it saves my floors and furniture when we get home from the wet labrador shake that they do. Only her head gets wet now.Large xxl for German Shepherd or Labrador and it covers all my dogs back.Edit. One tiny problem is when the velcro fastening gets wet, it tends to unpeeled around my dogs neck. Then the coat begins to slide to one side.

4 stars for the coat itself as it was well made,comfortable and robust but on the sizing it let itself down. I had to return this because despite the fact I measured my GSD as per instructions it failed to come anywhere near to going around his chest. There are two rear straps which go around the back legs to hold it in place,these go under the groin area and up by the base of the tail and once these were in place I found that the coat came up about 4 inches short of his chest so there was no way that I would have been able to have done this coat up so I had to send it back for a refund.

I haven't done more than try on the coat (today we have glorious sunshine in Copenhagen - it won't last!). The coat was easy to put on, no complaints from my dog and is big enough to fit around her girth, which is quite large because she is so hairy - I thought it was worth putting a review just because the photo shows an extremely short-haired weimeraner and I hesitated about buying the coat because I wasn't sure it would fit decently. I ordered this on Monday from the UK website, dispatched from France and arrived in Denmark on Thursday lunchtime - very fast for standard shipping.
