It's very good for the hot summer days. When the bandana is frozen it can be annoying because it's rigid so my dog acts as if she couldn't move the head much but the bandana melts fast so it's not uncomfortable for very long. It has worked great to keep my dog cool when she comes back from walks and in the hotter summer days I put it on her before going out so she feels better in the sun. I read somewhere in the reviews that when freezing it, adapt the shape so when you take it out it's not so hard to put it on. I've been doing that and it was a very good advice, I just place it in the freezer the way it's supposed to be on my dog's neck and that way it's easier to adjust it.

Good concept, can be challenging at times to get the Velcro to stay put (especially on dogs that move quickly and/or wrestle with other dog friends). Is this a perfect work around for taking dogs out in warm environments, probably not. However I think it is functional, and can be helpful in keeping the dogs cool.You just have to be smart and know the breed of your dog (i.e. how well it does in warm and humid type environments), and just watch for dog demeanor (i.e. excessive panting or lethargy). Bandana can help some with keeping cool, but always make sure to carry water. I highly suggest this one

Cools my older, dark haired dog. Some have mentioned in their review that there is a weird slimy feeling to it the first few times you wet it, but that goes away. I soak it, wring it out, then soak it again, making sure it's very wet, and wrap it around my dogs neck. He looks forward to me putting it on him. When we're done walking, I leave it on him for approx. 15 mins. to cool him down more. Also, I like to add, my parents dog doesn't like anything around his neck, but he wanted to keep this on. When I removed it, he put his head on my lap. I'm buying him one now too. I recommend this.

We ordered this cooling bandana to try it out for our Frenchie, but admittedly were a little skeptical. All doubts have vanished because this bandana does the trick! We wet and froze ours before going on a trek (put it in a Ziplock bag between freezer and use to minimise losing moisture) and hours later when we needed it, it was still cold and helped cool our little nugget off. Well-made. We did struggle with the sizing... and the one we ordered just about fits without being too tight around his throat. THE BEST value for money! Highly recommend, and would absolutely buy again!

We are going through a heat wave in southern California, and this cooling bandana has helped my bichon frise to stay cool and comfortable. I ordered a medium and that's the perfect size for him, allowing some roominess to let the bandana drape down over his back, or hang lower onto his chest. The directions suggest submerging in water, but I've found the best for us is to thoroughly wet the bandana, put it in a ziploc bag, and keep it in the fridge. Then I wring it out a little to express excess water before putting it on my dog. It keeps him cool for hours. Highly recommended!

Bought the large size for our Staffie. Placed in cold water, wrung out then placed in the fridge. Used for first time today after a warm morning walk and it’s fantastic! He cooled down quickly and that’s all we want to see! A happy cool chilled pooch. He also has a chill pillow. It’s going to be even hotter tomorrow, so he will be wearing it for morning walkies. It doesn’t stay super cool btw, needs refreshing same as my own neck cooling tie. Simple, comfortable easy fit with Velcro too. Highly recommend! and good fast delivery from the company so Thank You.

During that crazy heatwave - my house does not cool down! I was trying to find anything to help keep my dog cool & prevent overheating. Such a simple thing, I had already tried a damp towel but didn’t work anywhere near as effectively as this! Archie put up with it fine. I did need to regularly re-wet it for optimum coldness. But it definitely made a difference to how comfortable he was, and he seems to get a longer nap with it on that prior. I 100% recommend for the summer, as it’s so simple.

So far so good. Purchased two of these for my dachshund and chihuahua since it has been ridiculously hot here in CA. It really chills them down and surprisingly they aren't trying to pull them off. The only negative is they don't stay cool/wet for very long. It may just be that it is so hot here that it's making it dry up quickly but it normally only stays cools for about 20 munster or so. The good thing is its super easy to just wet it again to get it cool again. It was worth the money.

This product did not come with any directions. However, after reading some of the reviews I figured out how best to use this product. Soak it in water before you put it in the freezer. It needs a few minutes to defrost once you take it out of the freezer, so it can be molded to your dog's neck.I bought a size large for an 80 lb Labrador. It just fits. If I bought another one, I would try to get a size larger. I think it keeps fairly cool for about 20 minutes in 90 degree heat.

During the recent hot days these bandannas have been a life saver for my dog keeps him cool and gives me peace of mind when out in the sun when he cant go swimming.This is the second one i have like this and i couldn't recommenced them them enough, i have the full cooling coat which i use on extremely hot days or really long walks but these little bandannas pack a cooling punch and are great go between (they also get the dog a lot of attention because they look cute)

thought I would give these a try, as my dogs were getting very hot during the hot spell recently, I put some ice cubes in some water to make very cold and soaked the bandanas, popped them on the dogs, one being a border collie his coat is quite thick, and they worked straight away, I noticed they weren't panting quite as much. I also have a cocker spaniel and brought the medium, this is a bit big but just put a button and elastic loop and it stays on fine.

I bought this for my 12 1/2 year old lab to wear when we went on hot walks, for the beach, or when we got back and she needed to cool down. She really seems to like it and I have actually noticed less panting when I put it on her. Be sure to soak in cool water for a few minutes (and I have even thrown it in the freezer for a few min before). It does not stay super cold for as long as I thought, but overall, it was a pretty good buy.

This helped keep my dog cool in the Texas summer. We wet it, then store it in the freezer overnight and threw it in the cooler on the way to our destination. When we got there it was still very chilly, but pliable enough to put on. I was a bit concerned it might be restrictive, but it was not. Pupper didn't seem to mind it at all. We will continue using for hiking trips throughout the year as it never actually gets cold in Texas!

Brilliant! I have a long haired Weimeraner, bought the large and it fits perfectly. She was really struggling in the heat but wears this all the time at the moment (what a heatwave!), even overnight, and it helps her enormously. I would have liked to get a vest for her but she's only 4 and gets in the undergrowth on her walks so I thought it probably wouldn't last 5 minutes. Got this instead and it's brilliant, very pleased.

Purchased this for my little Chipoo for the hot summers. It is now the second summer I am using it. Keeps him perfectly cool all day when we are out, as long as I soak it every once in awhile. Found that a cooling vest was too much for him as he would end up shivering. But this little bandana is perfect. Actually have used it so much that the velcro is starting to wear out. Will be getting a new one for next summer.
