I bought this item for my cavalier. I had been using another brand of cool coat for my dog but found that one tricky to put on and, despite being a medium, it was too small.This coat (medium) fitted much better and the material was lovely and soft. The Velcro fastening means you can adjust it slightly to fit your dogs size. I had to immerse the coat in cold water, removed the excess and put it on my dog. She doesn't usually like wearing anything but she seemed perfectly relaxed wearing this coat. It kept the coldness for over 5 hours.It arrived several days earlier than estimated and I had just opted for the standard,

My bichon frise suffers from epilepsy and the heat triggers seizures. I have been struggling to keep him cool during some adverse hot weather. A friend recommended this and I am so grateful she did. I had already tried the cool mats but he just wouldn't tolerate them so this is perfect as it stays with him wherever he goes.Its very lightweight too so seems more comfortable for him to wear all day. I just keep taking it off, running it under the cold tap, wringing it out and putting it back on him. It has made a vast difference and he is no longer desperately panting. I would definitely recommend this product and it was such a good price too. Worth every penny!

I bought the X-Large for my German Wire Haired Pointer, it fits perfectly, I have used it most days during this hot weather and she actually comes forward to put her head through so I can Velcro it up, I think she realises it helps to keep her cool. It does dry out fairly quickly but these are extraordinary weather conditions for this country and it's easy to wet again. I have wet it and then put in freezer when I take her out but I'm now taking her about 9pm re. the heat so she doesn't need that. A great buy for the price and I recommend it.

I've waited to review this item until i could test it out properly and this summer (2018) has certainly provided that opportunity, Even in the extreme heat we've had this coat is good for appx 20 mins exposure to the sun/heat before it appears dried out, now heres the important bit, to the touch on the outside, the inside that is in contact with the skin and particularly the underside of the coat around the area that matters most is still wet leaving our dog cool to the touch after 45 mins of walkies so i give it 5*

This is a great item and my small dog seems to be very happy wearing it. It's nice and light and has been really helpful keeping him cool during this recent boiling weather. He is a Jack Russell/mini Poodle cross and the medium size fits him fine. It's a bit baggy when wet but can be tightened with the Velcro straps and better that than too tight. It's easy to put on and can be dampened again without problems if it gets too dry. A wonderful buy and I will definitely get another in due course. Highly recommended

We have a small working cocker and got this for the many lockdown walks. It is noticeable how much less water our dog needs to drink (we always walk with a bottle of water anyway) when she is wearing it, so it must be working to keep her cool. The design needs amending. We sewed on extra elastic around the rear for her legs to go through. This extra loop around each leg keeps the coat stretched over her back. Without them, the coat simply rides up her back and was rather rubbish.

Really pleased with this.I've bought cool coats before but not this type. Compares extremely favourably. It is wonderfully light with a simple and straightforward design, yet it fits my dog perfectly (she is a mini-Lab & I bought a medium). Just rinse it in water till it is soaked and wring out. She loves it too as it is so light and cool. Comes in a plastic ziplock bag so ideal to carry around when damp. It also came much earlier than stated. Ticked every single box. Thank you

We’ve got a senior staffy / collie cross with a double coat, which is black so he gets so warm. We’ve tried a few things but this has been fab! So easy to use just run under cold tap or submerge in cold water, wring it out and pop it on. We got a large as he’s got the height of a collie and it’s perfect. It’s so nice to see him cool and not struggling in this heat. I took a star off as I just wanted it to be cooler for longer but it’s excellent value for money.

Was very skeptical when this arrived as the material was flimsy and had not realised it needed to be soaked in water.24 hours on, it is brilliant! My schnauzer, who refuses to wear a coat in winter, now sits and waits for the vest to be applied! In this current heat wave (34°C today) he has been able to relax and is much happier. Only downside, once the vest was applied he jumped straight on my partner's lap for a doze, leaving him rather damp!

This works really well and I consider it one of my better buys. It's simple to use and my dog, which is a husky / Alsatian cross doesn't, mind wearing it. Her panting stops and she is visibly more comfortable. Of course it does need regular soaking but well worth the trouble. It could have big letters saying 'cool coat' on it to stop people thinking I've put a coat on my dog on hot day but honestly this really works and your dog will benefit.

I purchased this coat for my cockapoo who has dense black fur and suffers quite badly in hot weather. I put it on him the day it arrived (2 days earlier than predicted) and took him out on a.very hot day for over 2 hours during which he stayed perfectly cool and happy. This is possibly the best thing i have bought for my dog and don't have to worry about him overheating. The coat is lightweight, easy to wash amd comfortable

I had one of these for my 48kg newfoundland and it was a godsend last summer when we had the heatwave.We recently rescued a 60kg st bernard and It was the first thing on my list to buy for her arrival.Even once the vest is no longer wet the skin and fur under it are still cool. Really works wonders!We even got asked from a newfie friend in Australia to order her one - so far no complaints.

This jacket has proven to be the best thing we could have bought for our 6 month old Cockapoo!! During the hot temperatures this cooled him down perfectly. Size fit well as expected and so easy to use. After a few days of use he even brought the jacket to us to put on him....clever dog but what an awesome purchase. We will be buying another size up by next year once he has grown some more!!!

Bought these for the recent hot spell for both my dogs - medium Springer and Springer / Setter Cross.They have been excellent- thoroughly recommend.They fit well, are nice and lightweight so do dry quickly if dog is outside but they are easy to get on and off to resoak. I noticed they keep the dogs cool even when starting to dry, their backs and chests were still cool to touch underneath.

I had ordered a medium fir my working cocker spaniel and it fitted her perfectly.She didnt seem to mind wearing it.It was a light breathable material that went on and off easily.We wetted the coat every couple of hours on a day that was about 26 degrees.It looked dry after half an hour but touching it it was still damp.She seem very comfortable and was not panting much which is good.
