A rum on the drier side, smooth, but without the sweetness typical of sipping rums. I couldn't find out whether it's a rum agricole or made from molasses. This will probably appeal to whisky drinkers.I like the rum overall, but lacks the complexity of other rums in a similar price range. Again, reminds me of a quality whisky rather than a quality rum.Presentation of packaging and bottle is 5 stars, and looks the part if this were a special gift.My bottle had `Product of Nicaragua` on it, purchased elsewhere.

I've had this rum a couple times now, it is definitely up there as one of my favourites. It has a wonderful smooth taste, definitely a rum for sipping, not one you would mix with coke (unless you really wanted to, I suppose).It is delivered in a nice box and the bottle itself is quite unique, quite eye-catching. It would definitely make for a great gift for anyone who has an interest in rum.

This is the good stuff. I like a lot of rums and tend to mix with either lemonade or ginger beer but haven't found many, all but a handful, that are good enough to sip straight, I count this as one of them. Although this has the taste of spiced rum it is not a spiced rum, quality.

This is a decent rum no doubt about it. However, I was slightly disappointed given the reputation of Flor de Cana and that it's a 12 year. There are better rums out there for sure, which is perhaps reflected in the (offer) price. It is though, pleasant and very easy to drink!

Really like the 7 year old so ordered this 12 year old. Had two glasses last night lovely stuff with a couple of ice cubes. This is a very good quality rum . Not your overly sweet vanilla rum this is a class above golden Caribbean rums.

Well rounded smooth and enjoyable tasting rum. I’ve drank this straight on the rocks, in cocktails and with a bit of pineapple juice and the taste also shines through. Would highly recommend!

I have enjoyed this rum on my keto diet, being sugar free. Its got a lovely richness, age to the rum, lots of distinctive flavours and a well-balanced aged rum. I would strongly recommend

A little dryer than the El Dorado 12 yr old or Diplomatic Reserva but impeccably smooth and refined. Also appears to be somewhat cheaper so for the price this is very good rum indeed.

What a treat! Lovely taste. Got to make hot apple rum but it’s delicious on its own. Got this at a great price that hasn’t reappeared. If it comes down in price I’ll buy again.

Got it on a deal so was well worth the money, not sure on full price value but for what we paid it was delicious and great for old fashioned style rum cocktails.

Better than I had expected as usually I prefer darker (Navy style) Rums. Good price, smooth tasting and better than many of the golden varieties around

Beautiful sipping rum - full of flavour and so smooth. Up there with the Appleton's 12 Year Old Rare and Mount Gay's XO. Would definitely buy again.

The smooth flavour was amazing. I love El Dorado 12 year old but this surprised me and now a firm favourite. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy....

I purchased this as a gift and it's brilliant. Very nice taste and the bottle/box look very nice. Its great on its own or as a mixer.

Lovely smooth rum. My current favourite. Definitely worth a try, but not when you have people around, as it'll go quickly.
