I am not a rum connoisseur but i have tried a few different rums and this is the best i have tasted so far, it is nice on it's own or mixed, you can get cheaper so called 'navy' rums but compared to this, they are rubbish. It is a good price and i will definitely be buying again. If you like rum, try it you will not be disappointed.

I prefer Appleton Estate,but when this is on offer....well,it's on offer,and a fair drink at the price.Not my favourite,but not something I'd turn down at the right price.Pusser's Gunpowder Proof would be my preferred rum,I think.But that's not on offer!

As far as I can tell this rum is the exact same rum as that which used to be bottled as V/X. It's still good. A smooth, blended rum with enough flavour to sip but one that will also work nicely in a cocktail. It will always be one of my favourites.

In my opinion you will not find a better rum in this price bracket.Although this is not the best rum from the Wray and Nephew company it is still very good value for money. Good smooth taste. I've bought six bottles in the last couple of months.

I love the shape of the bottle and I love the what’s in the bottle great gift for my Gran my nephews all three of them will love it they don’t get it till Christmas so there’s not a lot I can say until the tasty thank you I know it’s good

I'm not a great fan of rums but I wanted to give it a go on a friend's recommendation and I'm glad I did. I'm a whisky man and it resembles some mature whisky. No strong taste or smell like other rums. To sum up in one word: smooth.

A great ‘standard’ mixing rum. Brilliant for Mai Tai’s. Great value for £15. There are better rums for drinking neat (like Pusser’s gunpowder rum) but this is perfect for mixing, still has plenty of flavour.

I fell in love with Appleton rum when I visited the plantation in Jamaica. Its a smooth, slightly sweet, expertly blended spirit. Lovely on its own or great as an alternative to whisky in an old fashioned.

Love it ....but the stuff is way over priced .I can buy it in the far East for £9 a litre ...so Amazon are ripping you off at over twenty pounds a time.Pity if the price was right I would buy in bulk..

Jamaican Rum is uniquely smooth, and has more depth of round full flavour than other gold rums. Good enough to drink on ice as well as with a mixer, preferably a Canada Dry Ginger Ale.

This was bought as a present again for our son-in-law, as he enjoyed the first bottle so much!We bought it initially because we used to live in Appleton (Cheshire)!
