I saw these a while back at a vintage fair and was really intrigued by them so really happy to give them a go. I hate the wastefulness of using clingfilm but also appreciate how useful clingfilm is so it's great to be able to find an eco - friendly alternative. In the pack you receive 3 different sizes although I have found the 2 smaller sizes to be most useful. A pack of the all small sizes would be great as these are ideal for covering up mugs and open tins. I've been using the medium size to cover a Pyrex bowl. I totally agree with other reviewers that these wraps should NOT be used directly on food. They do have a strange smell (sort of waxy) and the smell will transfer to food.Also because they cannot be cleaned very well I don't think it's hygienic to touch the food. You cannot immerse the wraps in water and you definitely cannot dishwash them. They can be wiped over with a dishcloth or pad and a little washing up water. I love Tupperware but it's not always easy to find the right matching lid or you might have tubs or bowls lying around that don't have lids. It saves using more washing up because you can leave food in the bowl it's in and just cover it up. I have found them very useful to have in the kitchen and I've saved a lot of clingfilm over the last few weeks which is amazing. I've also taught my children to use them. It's so easy just press the wrap around the bowl and push the sides. It's moldable enough to stay in place. But it doesn't form a tight seal so don't travel with them! It would get messy.

I like the idea of these - cotton cloth with beeswax, jojoba oil and tree resin. They have a slight stickiness and when you fold over and hold surfaces together for a few seconds (presumably warmth of the hands slightly melting the wax/oil/resin comb) they remain stuck. In this pack of three you get three different sizes, the smallest is enough to wrap half a lemon, the largest comfortably wrapping a typical sized block of supermarket Cheddar with room to spare.The instructions mention washing with cool water and 'dish soap' - who has this by their kitchen sink? - I tried using standard washing up liquid with no obvious problems. Some other reviewers here have mentioned bits coming off when washing,but I haven't seen any evidence of this thus far. It is claimed that the wraps will last a year (it's not clear how many washes this would equate to), and they are biodegradable.My main problem is the scent of these which is very strong, and I would feel reluctant to wrap many foods in direct contact with these wraps in case it transferred the smell. In many cases these might serve better stretched over the top of a bowl - or as in the case of my cheese it is still in the cut open supermarket packaging but protected from exposure to the air by the wrap. Also if you have a few of these in your fridge, you may not necessarily know what is in each one and have to open them to find out.

This is an interesting concept, and one I wanted to try in my quest to reduce plastic use. This set contains 3 of the wraps in small, medium and large. I have used the small one the most. They are a great alternative to clingfilm, and are made of organic cotton, sustainably harvested bees wax, organic jojoba oil and tree resin. They are designed for reuse for up to a year before they need to be replaced, and then they are fully biodegradable and compostable.They need to be handwashed in cool water and washing up liquid. It's not a big deal and is done very quickly. Then hang to dry. As I've said, I have used the small one the most - to cover a bowl of blueberries etc, cover a decanter of red wine,and also directly wrapped half an onion. The onion kept well - there was no smell of beeswax or anything like that on it. The onion smell had transferred onto the wrap, but after a couple of washes, it had gone. I have used the larger one to cover a small frying pan overnight after roasting some cumin seeds. They are great for covering dishes in the fridge. The small one looks a bit crumpled and worn now after a few months' use. I am not sure how I will be able to tell when they need changing. However, aside from having to wash them (not a big deal, remember the days before dishwashers?!), they are great, and I will continue to use them: anything to help reduce plastic waste!

I will defiantly be buying more of this product when I have the money, it was a little expensive which is my only complaint but, having said that the quality of the product is great and the fabric design is on trend. If you are trying to commit to a more sustainable lifestyle or looking for a nice gift for someone I would 100% recommend this product.Although the product is of the highest quality and a thick material you cannot cut foods on it, this would obviously be the same for throw away products like cling film, foil and parchment but because the product is hardy it may seem like you can I stupidly did and put some notches in the wax but the cloth itself it still fully intact and usable.I have used the wrap on cheeses and it has kept them fresh and stopped any drying out,wrapping sandwiches and fruit all of which has remained fresh. The bees wax used on the cloth does not affect the foods i have wrapped in any way.The cloth is very easy to clean and smells fresh and organic. Although you may worry about the germ side cleaning with cold water bees wax has ANTIBACTERIAL properties so makes it great for keeping food fresh.

I haven't used anything like this before for keeping food fresh, but I'm keen to avoid throwing cling film away if I can. So, when I was offered these through the Vine programme, I was interested to try them.There are 3 wraps in the pack, in different sizes. They feel like very waxy fabric. Without trying to put you off them, they feel a bit like a waxed jacket...But after a wash in tepid water, they're ready for use. They are actually really easy and practical, and you just take one out and wrap it around the food. Apart from meat, they're fine for pretty much anything else. I use them frequently for wrapping up hard cheeses, and they keep better than they do in clingfilm.After each use,you just wash them in warm water with a little soap - you shouldn't be too vigorous, otherwise you'll wash the wax out that helps them keep the food fresh.I like them and will continue using them. The price isn't cheap, but since they're expected to last at least a year, I think you'll just about get sufficient use out of them for the money.

This is a fab thing, as long as you like beeswax. It seals very nicely around a bowl or box, and seals/moulds simply by holding it down, which is a lovely sensation.The wax smells a little, but hasn’t tainted any food that I’ve used it with so far. It’s basically waxed cotton, so you can’t get it hot, meaning it can only be washed in cold or cool soapy water.This stuff works a dream for cheese. For fans of a good cheeseboard, this would make a good gift- it works ideally and it’s also in keeping with the posh cheese styling.I personally use clingfilm for subdividing cuts of meat for the freezer and not much else, but with these I’ll be more likely to wrap up bowls and veg in the fridge,breaking the existing habit of using plastic boxes.Next week’s experiment will be to wrap up a bunch of spring onions, previously left in a plastic bag, and see if their smell impacts on the wax.Stinking Bishop cheese here we come!

These are amazing ~ I have never written a review before but this product is so fabulous. I was sceptical if they would be a good as I hoped but they are even better. It kept my half avocado as fresh as the moment I sliced it with NO brown discolouring even after two days!! I used it to cover a bowl of leftover fruit salad that I had made on Thursday and by Sunday it was a s good as when I had first made it. It also keeps my homemade bread fresher for much longer and cheese is as good as the day I bought it whilst wrapped in this. It seals closed and wraps round bowls easily and is simple to wash and dry; a joy to use. I will be buying more for myself and will be giving them as presents for friends.The only downside....my children have started teasing me that I keep saying how brilliant this product it!

I've been wanting to try some of these for ages, but couldn't quite get my head round how they worked. I thought I might need to tie the wraps to the bowls with elastic bands or string, but now I've actually handled and used them I understand how simple they are! The wraps when warmed by the heat in your hands quickly mould to the shape of the container you are putting them on and then stay in that shape. I'm really impressed with them and they are a really useful step towards reducing your household waste, the ONLY problem with them is that they are not transparent like cling film and consequently it becomes quite easy to forget the contents of a container or simply not to be visually remindedof the contents every time you open the fridge.

These eco-friendly wraps are perfect for purpose. I take a lunch in to work with me almost every day. I have a long commute on public transport and carry a lot, so these light weight yet sturdy wraps are perfect. They take up much less space than a plastic container and my food is much more secure than it would be in cling film or foil. Also i'm a stickler for living as green as possible and waste reduction is a huge bonus for me. I mainly use these for packaging up my lunch time wraps and I haven't had a spillage yet. Easily wiped clean with lukewarm soapy sponge. They come in 3 sizes which is handy if you want to make a mobile snack or keep things fresh in the fridge.

I received these as a gift. I am really pleased with them, they are easy to use, easy to clean and make my fridge look wonderful as an added bonus!The large covers a standard pyrex bowl with plenty of overhang or say an average dinner plate with a loaf cake on it, the medium I used to wrap over half an average sized head of broccoli (stem out) and the small is less useful but I have used for loose beans, perhaps could be useful over a jam jar which no longer has a lid or a small piece of cheese??This product is supplied in a cardboard pouch with a biodegradable window. As it was a gift I have no idea of the delivery packaging.

If you like unsliced bread from the bakery counter I highly recommend a large sheet of Beeswrap to keep it fresh and stop the cut end from drying out! I've used every bit of the loaf since I've been wrapping it in Beeswrap - no more dried up ends! It's very easy to mould to cover bowls and vegetables. Kept mushrooms fresh too, and cheese. I will be buying more sizes and continue to use. Apart from the environmental damage it causes I found cling film very irritating to use with the film sticking to itself and not being able to find the edge , ripping along the roll instead of across. Now I will never buy cling film again.

Very pleased with the wraps. The smallest size is great for covering small bowls or wrapping lemon halves / fruit. The medium size is just right for a standard sized sandwich. The largest size is suitable to cover large bowls, I also used it to wrap a cake. They are easy to rinse off (though to be fair they haven't come into contact with anything that would stain them yet). I love the smell - a hint of honey. Planning to buy another pack. We had been using a lot of foil in our house as our Council recycles foil, so glad we have a found a more sustainable option.

These wraps feel like a waxy type paper, but are actually made from cotton. They are pliable and a perfect way to wrap your lunch or any other food product, they give sandwiches a bit of vintage luxury. I have used them in my lunch box and had a few comments on this unusual way of wrapping. They are washable and can last up to twelve months. They would make a nice stocking filler and I think I may buy more as a xmas gift on the table for the ladies instead of crackers.And if you are posting abroad they weigh very little.

This has changed the way I store food! Cheese is the best one, because the bees wrap is breathable your cheese doesn't get all sweaty in plastic and it tastes better for longer. It's great for covering bowls with and wrapping veggies, herbs, almost anything in your fridge. I also use it to take little snacks into work, some carrot sticks or celery and because of the way it holds it's shape I don't end up with veggies in the bottom of my bag! Perfect way to reduce the amount of foil or cling film that you use.

Really nice to use, they have a subtle smell of beeswax but that doesn't affect the food in any way.They are quite thick and fold exactly as you place them so they form a kind of protection around things too.A million times nicer and more practical than plastic/clingfilmI have only had them about a month now but they wash easily (i used cold water and a tiny bit of Ecover)Don't wash them in hot water - they kinda melt (I did that once) but fortunately it recovered.Well worth the money, they are quality.
