I like ice in my drinks everyday. So I empty my ice cube tray a lot - usually once a day.I was recently on holiday and the ice cube tray there was one with a little nodule thing in the centre of each cube, and I found it was easier to pop the cubes out with that than with my standard plastic supermarket ice cube tray at home. So I decided to try to find something similar on Amazon. And I did find that, but I ordered this instead because of the positive reviews. And I am so glad I did, because it is fantastic.I can't believe I've spent years hurting my thumbs trying to push cubes out one by one, when I could have had this instead. The cubes JUMP out of the tray almost before I ask them to.It is way better than the holiday ice cube tray as well. With this, you give one tiny, effortless twist and the cubes go flying everywhere. Some cubes may come out before you even start to twist. And they're lovely and big - I only need two per drink instead of the four I was using before. So I am using the tray less often than my old one, and using it faster. Which gives me time to write reviews like this.I like the high side all around the tray so that I don't spill water out of it. And if I overfill the tray, the cubes still separate and pop out easily, so I don't need to be precious when putting the water in.I don't think you'd regret getting this tray - not unless it won't fit in your freezer. The tray does have small handles, which aren't pictured. My tray measures nearly 33cms at its longest, including the handles. When I bought this, the price was £3.99 and it was an Add On item. As I write this review, it is £5.58. It's still worth that price, and more, in my opinion. I guess it depends how much you dislike battling with ice.Edit - nearly a year after writing this review I notice that the tray is starting to leak. A couple of the edges of the cubes are split. I guess it was inevitable given the constant twisting. I'm not too disappointed, I'll just order another tray. Not going back to banging a tray on the counter.

Is it nerdy to love an ice-tray? Probably, but understandable given the quality and design of these. These are the best ice-cube trays I've ever come across and and I'm so happy I found them. There are some things in life that are suited to being made from silicon: Tongs-Yes, Egg poachers-Yes, Breasts-debatable, Ice-cube trays-Definitely Not. If you have people around your house for drinks and they find your freezer laden with bright pink squidgy trays of ice-blocks in the shape of love-hearts, to which it takes 2-minutes of wrangling to extract a single piddly cube into their glass, they secretly think you're an idiot and you've failed as your duty as a host. If on the other hand you have these trays, which produce huge solid blocks which fall out of the tray at the merest suggestion that you need ice and are large enough to stay frozen for a lot longer, then you'll be a winner.Someone deserves a design award. They have a good sized lip all around the outer edge so that you don't spill water when placing them in the freezer. They stack well such that there is no contact between the tray on top and the water in the tray below. And as I mentioned, the cubes are a great larger than average size and fall out of the tray with only the slightest twist of the tray. The plastic is really thick and solid and I don't believe it will crack with use.All up, amazing, 5 stars, I'm ordering more.

This ice cube tray is the easiest I've ever used. Previous trays have to be held under the warm tap or twisted with super-human strength, or they break instantly. The silicone ones are also ridiculous. This is the best ice tray ever. Buy itEdit: I am absolutely baffled by the bad reviews of this ice cube tray. I hardly do reviews but this was so easy to use I thought I would. They cannot be talking about the same product. I have always struggled using ice trays due to disability and have even had minor injuries from trying to twist them and them breaking! This one is so easy. I've been using it daily since I got it and it's brilliant. The big cubes also last a long time in your drink. The fact I'm chuffed enough with this ice tray to not only review it, but to come back and edit it after reading the bad reviews says a lot. I realise you should probably read the bad reviews BEFORE you buy things but I just noticed it had bad reviews when mine was approved.

The great thing about these trays is how easy it is to get the ice out once frozen. Barely twist it and out they come. Effortless. Thus, these would be great for anyone who is annoyed by ice cube trays that are difficult to use. These trays are also 'extra high' meaning you fill the water to the 'line' and then there is an additional 1/4 inch of height...this is exellent at stopping any spilling while trying to get the trays in the freezer. Again, top class. The only issue with the trays is if you have a very small space in the freezer where the trays sit. In that case, it may be hard to get them in, as the trays are quite big. But...I would recommend anyone to try these. They are the best trays I have ever used and if they every broke (which I can't imagine--as there is no inbuilt obsolescence like with so many products these days designed to break)...I would buy another pair quickly.

Hi. Just wanted to clear up a few things with these ice cube trays. The product picture showing the tray being twisted over a glass is misleading. If you did that, I believe the tray would crack as some people have experienced. I've never had to twist more than a little to get the ice cubes out. However, I've often found some of the ice cubes shatter when trying to get them out straight from the freezer. If you leave the trays out for five minutes and then try, the cubes come out very easily and whole. You can even just pick a few out with your fingers if that's all you need, but I empty the whole tray into a container and put back in the freezer. I find using filtered water produces slightly clearer ice.Hope this helps. The trays are 28cm x 12 so are quite big. I would buy again if required.

This is a sturdy item. And it would make some fine, chunky ice cubes. However, I should have looked at the measurements. This was too big for the ice compartment I bought it for. I wish companies would account for people like myself who find it hard to visualise x amount of centimetres. Obviously I THINK I know what it looks like and then when the item shows up I'm all surprised. Instead, they should show the items next to some universally recognised items such as, in the case of an icecube tray maybe a carton of juice or a slab of butter. In the case of a dog bed, maybe a recognisable breed of dog, say a golden retriever. Anyway, what will I do with my large ice cube tray? Who needs an ice tray as a gift? When is the occasion when an ice tray is an appropriate gift? Maybe a tombola gift.

Right, I’ll try my best to be as accurate and helpful as possible here:- quite flexible (saucy!), just enough to let go of those cold cold cubes but not so much as to eject them (very important that)- nice white colour, very helpful to see if others put stuff in your ice to trick you (life tip)- 14 beautifully and equally shaped cubes of freshness, which is perfect because 12 is just not enough and 16... well that’s just ridiculous, no one needs that much iceI hope I helped you make up your mind. Amongst all of the competitive choices out there I settled for those and honestly, never looked back.

Fantastic buy, I recommend these to everyone such a simple thing yet you really do need these. They can be stacked ontop of eachother and the ice cubes do not stick together. The ice cubes are the best size for keeping your drinks icy cold for longer as they are chunky and square, i mainly only use 2-3 cubes to ice a drink. The twist function for easy removal of the cubes really does work, super easy to get your ice and how many you need rather then emptying a whole tray! You just twist each end and they loosen for you to pick out what you need. Perfect size cubes. Love this product highly recommend.

Everything all the previous reviews say about the efficiency of this tray is true! I have no idea what makes this superior to other ice cube trays, but it definitely is. I absolutely love that the ice cubes are a much bigger than average size which makes for a nice, slow melt. The high edge means you can fill each pod fully and not risk over-spill on the way to the freezer. The cubes freeze uniformly and removing them is a breeze - simply twist, empty into a large freezer bag - repeat the process several times and you'll soon have a fab stash of ice for this warm weather!

Love them! I thought they were going to be a flimsy plastic in order for the ice cubes to be removed easily but it is a really hard durable plastic.Hold at either end and twist slightly in opposite directions and all cubes come out instantly.Only thing to mention is that the cubes are huge!I expected normal size ice cubes and didn't really pay attention to the dimensions in the blurb because I thought all ice cubes would be the same sort of size. Not a complaint (as they go nicely in my large gin glass) but just sometbing for you to be aware of.

"Rate features - Warmth"?! Come on! It's just come out of the freezer. Ice cubes not particularly "dainty" just by size: top face 33mm x 49mm; bottom face 20mm x 29mm; depth 29mm (approximately). Ease of ejection: way better than two other 8x2 trays in household. (This tray is 7x2) The difference in face size - hence angle of reduction top to bottom - means these cubes are so easy to expel with only slight twist or tap, no bang-bang-bang on the kitchen sink side. Fully recommend. High top edge perimeter is a design user-blessing!//-end-

We always bought our ice in packs from the supermarket and stored them in the freezer. With the virus crisis making it difficult to shop, I ordered a couple of these to make my own and they are perfect. I don't even need the freezer because our drinks fridge has an ice compartment! This has saved freezer space and saved money. Should have done it years ago! They're a nice size too. A bit long for my ice compartment, so I sawed off the end moulds to reduce them by a couple of inches. Perfect,

This is the BEST ice tray i’ve ever used. It makes fairly large cubes that easily pop out when you twist the handles on the tray, better than any of the silicone trays or other plastic trays i’ve ever used. If you overfill it you need not worry about spillages as there’s a brim, and if you over fill it the cubes pop out fine and you can snap them individually. I put my ice cubes in a zip lock bag so I can make more ice cubes while i use the ones in the bag too.

Finally a great ice tray! I have been looking for a ice tray that you can remove the ice blocks with ease and not struggle like the Silicon ones, and this is definitely it. I like the fact that the tray has higher edges all the way around, so no more spilling on the way to the freezer. The product is well made and very sturdy. It creates decent size ice blocks as well. I would definitely recommend this product and will be buying a couple more.

19.3.2019

Makes good sized ice blocks which drop out at the smallest twist. Excellent design feature is the anti-spill lip round the edge so when the tray is full of water, there is still a clear lip above it and one can carry it across the kitchen with no risk of spilling, or if you tilt the tray while trying to squeeze it into the freezer between other packs, you don't end up depositing water all over the bottom. Best ice tray I've ever had.
