In a bid to save on bottled water and plastics we bought a sodastream as my son only drinks sparkling water (and lots of it). However, we could still taste the difference in the water and bought this in an attempt to get the taste nearer to spring water. I researched the best and this came up on an independent review of the best of the cheapest. Thought for just under £11 with free delivery (Amazon offer at the time) why not? The advert stated it came with one cartridge but we were pleasantly surprised to find it came with three!. Easy to set up and whilst not the largest of capacity it filters water almost instantly making it quick and easy. We did blind taste tests and the water from this jug came out tops from all the family.

I always have two filter jugs on the go, and decided to chuck my rather dilapidated brita ones. These jugs - I got two of them - compare very well with the much more expensive models. The only thing missing is the gauge which tells you how long the filter has been in the jug, something I never really used anyway. The really good thing about these jugs is the three free filters. I would recommend this jug to anyone

Very pleased with this - replaced a Brita fridge jug that had a curved top to the jug higher at the front than the handle, so when filled under a tap (tilted forward), it immediately spilled water all over the floor when you held it upright. This is flat at the top of the jug, so don't have that problem. Also a much larger filling opening. Much cheaper than the Brita equivalent - and just as sturdy.

Having spent a while looking to buy a water filter I finally decided on this. Have used for over a month & so pleased with it. Quality of jug is excellent. You can notice the difference in the water. I prefer it to tap or bottled water now!

Why buy Britta when this brilliant jug is more ergonomic, more sensibly sized and half the price.What else needs to be said? Takes generic and branded replacement filters - sorted.Thoroughly recommended.

Good product but no way to show you how long it's got left. In the instructions it says about a timer. No timer on this. I'm going to order a bigger one as 2.5ltrs whilst drinking alot isn't that much.

Absolute bargain contains jug and THREE filters. Would usually pay more than this just for the filters!Like the refill lid which means you don't need to remove the whole lid to refill.

Great product. Only thing was the time of delivery. Took just over a week. But! Have to take into account where it's came from. But! No complaints from myself about this great jug.

This jug is the perfect size for me (I live alone) and neat and well made. It's smaller than the Brita jug and so can easily fit in the fridge too. Very happy :)
