After using filter for 2 Years there is my short simple review.1. There is nothing like that on the market which would filter water so good for this price. It does change taste of water. One of my friends purchased same filter as she loved the taste so much. It does taste sweetish, clear, soft difficult to describe. But you need to wait a day after you change new filter.2. People complain too much here. There is no leaking and you hold lid when pouring water is all good.3. I change filter every 3 months. I used it to water plants, make tea, and carry water with me in bottle.4. I drank tap water yesterday and taste is heavy, not so pleasant and nothing to compare with filtered water.5.

This is amazing, and I'd say completely ignore the two negative reviews on here. The cartridge fits fine if pulled in from below, and it only goes mouldy if you don't keep using it and leave it in direct sunlight, and the water tastes AMAZING! Like SO much nicer than bottled mineral water, which is mostly just tap water anyway. It tastes so fresh and light and actually makes you want to drink water, which I know is a struggle for a lot of people! But we should be drinking 2-4 litres a day, depending on our weight, for our bodies to function properly. The filters cost around £10 per month which is less that we were spending on bottled water, and with loads less impurities in it, so it's a no brainer really.

I'm a water filter fanatic... I was allergic to tap water over 30 years ago, and consequently have tried most types of water filter. I was currently using the Eva water filter, but their filter cartridges had some big problems. So the British Berkefeld deals with our main water filter usage currently. But I very much like the AcalaQuel ... it is still made of plastic, which is why it didn't get 5 stars... the taste of the water is superior to the Berkefeld... we have also tried experiments with friends and they always prefer the taste of the water from the AcalaQuel...It feels like the AcalaQuel fills a huge gap in the market for a very good quality water filter that's not too expensive,

I am very pleased with the pure taste of the water filtered through this, which I have been using for over 6 months now. It compares well to all but the best bottled mineral waters that I have tasted. This filter totally removed the chlorine taste (along with other unpalatable tastes) from my local water. The chlorine level of my tap water was measured as 0.15mg/l which is well within the recommended 'safe' limit of 0.5mg/l but nevertheless, to me, the water tasted like swimming pool water. Of course, I recognize that chlorine is necessary as a disinfectant. The local water company said that filtering the water would be unlikely to remove the taste but these filters have done exactly that.

Horrendously expensive but the results are fantastic. I've used several filter products in the past from the likes of Brita and have not been very impressed. In fact, I've been highly unimpressed, especially as the tap water in my area is of high quality in the first instance. However, the AcalaQuell system has made a remarkable improvement to the drinkability of the water. It does take a little time to filter through, so I tend to keep a couple of glass bottles ready to go for peak-demand times. I've also started giving it a fizz with the soda-stream and the results beat most shop-bought sparkling water, including the well-known "premium" brands.So yes,

I owned a Brita water filter for many years before I bought BWT cartridges but still drunk less and less water because of the taste. I was looking into buying a Big Berkey in order to remove Chlorine, heavy metals etc from my water when I discovered AcalaQuell and their website. That got me to do a lot more research and I ended up buying the AcalaQuell Swing from Amazon.de because I like the design better. The cartridges are the same. The watee tastes amazing. I drunk 4 huge glasses in one go. What a difference. I do like the Brita Marella jug better. It has a slimmer and more rounded handle.

I have just had to buy this filter jug as about 6 months ago I bought another one from amazon and now I am unable to get the filters for it as they are out of stock hence my new purchase. though the filters for this one are considerably dearer I am very pleased with this jug. The water is crystal clear and definitely tastes good. My tap water here is horrendous heavy thick and smelly. I would certainly recommend this jug for performance and taste also looks very stylish.

Water tastes pure and clean! Probably the best filter jug at the moment ... I was back and forth for a while whether or not to get this or a distiller . But this filter keeps all the minerals intact whereas distillers remove everything ...so not good for long term use i believe. I use mine with the lime pad and micro sponge and i'm so happy to have peace of mind knowing i'm giving my child the best water i can afford

This filter is in a league of its own! I have used numerous water filters, but none compared to this at all, either in design, or the quality of the filtered water. Easy to assemble, easy to understand instructions, aesthetically pleasing, robust German design, and very clean tasting water. Expensive, but well worth it. I have just ordered 6 months worth of filter cartridges. Definitely recommended n

Bought this for the office and am very happy. Water taste's better than Britta-Filter.I took a while to compare having owned Britta Filters for almost 20 years... and in the end decided to go with this AcalaQuell. The cartridges last 2+ months and I am sure with single person use that it'll last longer!However the filtration surpasses the Britta-Filter and I am pleased with the choice.

Amazing filter not only purifies but energizes the water. Tastes like spring water and great for cooking with. You have to press the sponge now and again to allow water to flow through. Highly recommended you have to try it to see what water should really taste like!!If you are sensitive to chi energy you will really love this.And many noticeable health benefits

water is water right, WRONG, i never drank water for years (apart from beer) and i cannot believe the difference in the taste,it's a pleasure to drink straight from the fridge, i now drink water everyday, and it makes me feel good,changed my life in a small way, this is the best thing iv'e bought for a long time. healthy days people

Ok after having a but if trouble with a floatin sponge but thats fixed now, we finally got to taste the water. I noticed that when pouring the water some of the water goes back in to the filling filter again! The filtered water however tastes so refreshing and a lot diffrent than my last filter jug. All and all satisfied.

This product is absolutely amazing, my partner has one which I have used before and the water tastes so much fresher.Unfortunately I ordered this one and it arrived without any packaging and the hinge at the top of the jug was broken so I had to return it which was disappointing.

The water filtration is brilliant but the jug design is not very ergonomic it's difficult to lift and fill .The lid comes off when filling, saying that , I will be ordering the jug with the handle on . I haveHad a Britta for years but the Acala Quell filter is superior.
