....please be aware that you need a Brita Maxtra filter for this, not the regular ones. Our old Brita jug had seen better days and after renovating our kitchen we really wanted something a bit more stylish. This really fits the bill and I thought it would be ideal since we still have a large stock of regular Brita filters bought on sale. I was delighted when I opened the box to see how attractive the Stelton is, but not so delighted when I lifted the lid to see that we did not have the right filters to fit it! Would have given it 5 stars if the information had been clearer.

It works well. Better balanced that Brita filter jugs, so doesn't feel so heavy to lift. It doesn't look as good though in the real as it did in the picture. It looks a bit flimsy and plasticky and my initial thought when I opened it was disappointment, but am now glad I kept it. It was very poorly packed. Just in its thin cardboard box and nothing more. There was also no instructions (for cleaning etc). But overall quite pleased. Time will tell how strong it is. I have had my Brita filterjug for over 12 years and are not sure this one will last that long.

Like other users I have to report this is very nicely styled. I have this in my en suite bathroom for drinking water. Britta offerings are all rather clunky. Stylish though it is, it tends to dribble a bit when putting and yes, the lid falls off unless you hold it on with your thumb. Nice job guys. That said, it does the job and seems to be the only offering if you want a slim filter jug that doesn't look industrial - so I almost forgive its shortcomings.

When I first received this jug, I couldn't help thinking it's photos well, I was disappointed in its quality and feel, how ever now that I started to use it I'm find it's of good quality. The only problem I have with the design is..... It's a slow pourer and the handle could feel a little better quality.I would expect this attention to detail from a company such as Stelton.

The plastic filter is not supplied with the jug.The plastic filter takes up a huge volume of the capacity within the jug, refill is quite frequent due to this.In this day of zero waste I am reluctant to buy more plastic filters, I will try and source an alternative as I have seen that reusable charcoal filters can be purchased.

I'm really glad to found this jug instead of the ugly Brita jugs. Those was the only ugly things in my kitchen, but the maxtra filter tech I think the best in the market. So finally this jug solved my problem with a really good way! Excellent minimal looks, and way better quality than Brita. Absolutely worth the price.

It’s probably the best looking jug and the brand of filters that uses is really good. The only thing I don’t like is that when filtering water, the lid might not let any air pass in, preventing the water to be filtered down.As an advice, when cleaning use a soft sponge as the plastic can get scratched easily

Nice clean design, filters well and fast. Well packed, too (in a little bag to prevent scratching). Yet 4 stars for a tiny design flaw: the rear air inlet is probably dimensioned too tightly and therefore it pours a bit slow. But, hey.. what middle-class complaints... :)Great piece, would buy it again.

Love this jug, the Stelton design is minimal and sits neatly on my worktop. It takes up less space on the work surface than the standard Brita jugs. Works with tescos and brita filters. I've had it for more than a year now, we fill this jug up about 4 times a day and I've have no problems with it

After a decade of Brita jugs, couldn't bear buying another of those ghastly designed objects. The Stelton 2 Litre is a lovely looking jug with the only short-coming (why I haven't rated 5 stars) is you have to remember when you put in the filter for timely changing after a month.

I bought it because it looked lovely thought it would fit in the door of the fridge but sadly it did not. The other thing I did not like was that it had a taste when first using the filter, so I added slice of lemon to my glass of water.

Stylish addition to the kitchen. Solid build and good tasting water. Its quite tall so sometimes doesn't fit under the kitchen tap to fill up. Beware of this if you have a low tap or if your sink is often filled with dishes.

Slim attractive design. Yes it is plastic, but a nice smoke effect plastic. Lid is secure, it hasn’t fallen off in our experience. 2 litres of water is fine, much better than Britta jugs.

Elegant looking and stylish jug which uses Maxtra cartridges. A refreshing change fromThe usual jugs available. It’s pour isn’t as quick other jugs, but I’d call it a refined pour.

Nice design (could be Porche designed). Only negative is that the edges of the plastic are sharp in places. Water filters very quickly and the jug pour well. Glad I bought it.
