Hi all, I have been seriously contemplating purchasing a 75cl bottle but read reviews saying that the lid leaks if not in upright position so today (13 July 2016) I had a chat with Water2Go regarding this and asked when will this manufacturing issue be resolved. This was their response:Water-to-Go:Hi there, Welcome to Water-to-GoYou'll be please to know that the leaking issue has been addressed and rectified. We changed manufacturers for the cap and leaking lids are well under 1%. We are currently trying to reduce this further.Amy:Wonderful news, thank youWater-to-Go:You're welcome. Is there anything else we can help you with today?Amy:No that's all,was really crucial as I'm off back packing Central America soon and don't want stuff soaked or contamination.Water-to-Go:Oh wow, sounds like a fantastic trip! Have an amazing time!As you can see, they were very helpful and pleasant and the issue appears to be resolved and they are trying to improve design constantly. Hope you find this useful. The black colour will disguise nasty looking water but will of course warm up quite quickly as will absorb sunlight faster than other colours. This is my only complaint.

For ages I have been looking for the perfect waterbottle. One that doesnt leak and well built. Well finally I think I have found it. It only arrived yesterday, so I havent tried it for long, but so far it is great. It doesnt leak (which I was concerned about given some of the reviews). The noozle is just right enabling you to drink quickly if you need to. The water tastes great, just like bottled water. It is also reassuring that wherever you are its safe to drink the water using this system (obviously except sea water). I believe one review commented that it is noisy when drinking from it. It does make a slight sound but is not noticable. So far I am extremely happy and I will update this review in a couple of months time to see if I am just as pleased.

Excellent product all the people giving it 1 star obviously don't appreciate the benefit of having clean drinking water anywhere anytime. The cap does make a slight noise when sucking from it but do you really care about a small noise that lasts for a few seconds whilst you sip as opposed to other peoples opinion of you for drinking clean water? The cap does not leak. I'vr used mine for over 2 months everyday and it hasn't leaked once. Fastened it correctly and you'll have no problems. The sucker is a little hard for the first couple of days but i'd assume thats because the filter is bone dry before use.Overall if you want 99.9% pure water anywhere on the go this is by far the best and most tested out there at the minute.

I was a little apprehensive buying this bottle since there were quite a few reviews that pointed out that the bottle leaks. I decided to take a chance and I am glad that I did. It's good quality, I haven't experienced any leaking and I've been using it for weeks now, travelling around Southeast Asia. It's cheaper than a lot of other filter bottles and does the job just the same. My only complaint would be that once the water is below 200ml in the bottle, it can be almost impossible to drink what's at the bottom, but it's such a minor issue that it doesn't take away from the product.

I bought this product for a trip I'm taking in September. I'm in Arizona now and decided to bring it along to test out since I've never particularly cared for the water where I'm visiting as it tastes "chalky". The water through the filter tastes great and clean. You do have to pull harder than a regular water bottle but nothing intense. Just a slight drag. I'm very happy with it.Can't wait to take it in September.

We got two bottles for a 6 week trip around Mexico and it was great just to be able to fill them from the tap rather than buying bottled water and creating waste. The only downside is that we found ours had a tendency to leak a little from the top if they weren't kept upright. However, this was only a small problem for us. I would recommend these bottles to anyone going travelling or backpacking.

Splashed out on this bottle as travelling for a long time and wanted to reduce plastic usage. It has worked so far (1 month in) and I haven’t been ill from drinking tap water in both India and Sri Lanka. I still find myself having to buy bottled water though, as the water to go bottle filters through quite slowly and the black bottle means the water gets hot very quickly in the day.

I am really happy with the versatility of this bottle especially when travelling. The only downside is that it leaks when left on it's side ( without being squeezed ) and this leak had got worse as time has gone on. Since reading the other reviews most others do not have this problem so I have ordered another today in the hope that I just had a dodgy leaker! Fingers crossed!

Nothing quite like it! Excellent bit of kit peeps are complaining about the bottle leaking this is because they are squeezing the thing, there is no need. Bottle is well engineered and has a valve that regulates suction so there is no need to squeeze the bottle and deform it.Tried and tested took to west Africa, 1 month of heavy use....not sick yet! On my life !

This is a great idea for travelling and seems very effective at purifying water. The bottle feels robust and I like the idea of the replaceable filter unit. It’ll be no good if you’re really thirsty - you have to suck quite hard to get the water out!Used it for a week, dropped onto carpeted floor and spout broken rendering it useless. Handle with care!

If you like to travel in more remote, less well developed parts of the world it would be worth considering taking at least one per travellerIt gives a little added reassurance that the water is safe to drink and avoid the consequences if it is notA little weightier than bottles without a filter but I did not find that a problem

I bought this bottle as I was going to South America and used it for three weeks everyday while there and it works! It really does exactly what it says on the tin.I drank tap water all the time and it was perfectly safe and fine using the bottle. Is as easy as any other bottle but this one just had a filter.

Bought this some time ago for our holiday to Central America. Used it for two weeks with local tap water and had no stomach problems. Only down side is that it did drip a little when left on its side even though the makers say it's drip free. Only a minor drawback really as the drip isn't very much.

We have been using this bottle to drink the tap water in Thailand whilst travelling for the past 2 weeks and so far it has been great, no upset tummies and saves so much plastic waste and money! Have filled it up from some pretty dodgy looking taps with no problems. 10/10 travelling essential!

tried this out in the wilds and bog ridden rannoch Moor/Glen nevis. Really pleased.Possibly could of got away without it but with animal bodies and peaty water this made me feel much safer, didnt remove all colour from the worst samples but tasted fine and 3 weeks on no adverse affects!
