I have never been one of those people easily convinced by anything but after moving into my new home we found the water quality was really not great, it's an older home and obviously the water has to be 'up to grade' but the taste and the fact that since we moved here we have all (myself and my two sons) felt tired and run down, yes it could be a coincidence but my elder teen son won't drink this water at all and has been spending lots on bottled water. I don't like the throw away culture and so finally having had enough of not being able to enjoy something as simple as a glass of water (without it tasting like old pipes), decided to invest in a water filter jug.Knowing how much water we used to drink i was very happy when i found this tank as i would just be constantly refilling a jug. I was still sceptical and wondering if it was not much more than a fad directed at people with more money than sense.. (see told you i'm a sceptic sorry) BUT..I am so happy to report this tank has changed my thinking!, it tastes lovely! just good old plain uncontaminated water! I would recommend this to anyone, i promise you wont be sorry.BRITA are now my newest trusted brand and if i could rate it more stars i would. The tank arrived with one cartridge (i also ordered another two costing about £10, and there are options to order bigger packs of 4 and 6 and obviously the more you order the better value- i think 6 are around £24) as we have only been using ours for just over a week i have yet to see how long the filter lasts, i use mine for filling the kettle, the dogs water bowl and cooking. There is a little display in the lid that tells you when the filter needs changing, going from 5 bars down to one (or none-haven't got there yet) when its time to change it. My display is still reading 5 bars and i have used the tank every day and have got into a routine of topping it up every morning whilst waiting for my coffee, this is working well and makes sure we have a full tank every day.The tank does take up a bit of room in your fridge but to me its worth it and does mean i don't have room for rubbish fizzy drinks so for me that's another bonus! lol. it measures aprx 22 x 31 x 23cm and is longer than it is taller (this was one of my concerns that it would be too tall and disrupt shelving system too much but its actually 23cm tall and 30 deep-(back into your fridge if you get my meaning), its 22cm wide.I was also concerned there might be a taste from whatever it is inside the filter (i know probably a daft worry but thats me..) but nope there really is no weird taste, the water tastes just like it did when i was growing up, before there were times when you have to think "god knows what could be in the water!".. it looks super sparkly clean and tastes great. I can definitely say without a doubt nobody will regret buying this tank!. As you can tell i would highly recommend! (even my 30 yr old who visits regular now chooses a glass of water as apposed to the usual coffee lol!) all good, less work for me. Oh and one last thing, i'm not sure and it could be a coincidence but in general i am feeling better than i was health-wise.. less tired and less moody, and the only thing that's changed is having filtered water. Thank you BRITA you are excellent :) . EDIT: Just wanted to update on this great item, i wrote this review around the 19 of july, I have only just had to change the filter on it and it is now 22nd august! very happy with this.Arrived on time and well packaged.

having seen this new model i can tell you now this is excellent improvement on the old model and can really tell they sorted out all the minor annoying short comings of the 1st modelso what did they sort out from the old model which was really really good anyway1. major difference was is the recessed tap are where it screws in now has a little dip so it lets allthe water flow out now where as the outlets sat higher so always about 2cms of water left it sothe whole time water was in it some would sit on the bottom and maybe not refreshed2. more filtered water in the bottom try than before3. the slider at the top is a great idea as having to pull the lid out of old one would sometimes gomoldy due to your fingers touching it ect and time lets the mold grow,so well done on that one4. the filter actually sits lower so no build up of water or the carbon particles here and there5. the top filling compartment is now see through and so much easier to judge how much in it6. tiny little feet groves at bottom to stop it even slipping when you move the lid, yes brita is didnotice that little extra good thinking7. the flow tap design is a lot nicer and seems to have a much better outflow than the old onei've now given my old one to my lodgers in thier fridge so they very happy to have their own now if you see the older model its good but this is far greater so pay the little extra the new oneRead full review...

I am very happy with this product. We moved here from the USA and noticed a big difference in the water here, in the UK, especially when making tea. Stuff was on top of the tea and also stained my cup! First I thought it was the English tea, but using my American tea, same thing... Very annoying and concerning for your health I think. So I got this BIG size Brita filter and couldn`t be happier with the product. I fill it once or twice a day as the top part is smaller than the bottom where the actual filtered water is. I just pop it by the sink, spray the cold water in it and it goes back in my fridge on the shelf. Clean water all day for drinking, tea, cooking soup, coffee, etc.Because I keep it in the fridge, the water is quite cold that comes out of it, so what I usually do is fill a glass with Brita water, put a coaster on top and leave it on the counter for a while to warm it up a bit. Drink it, and fill the next glass. :-) I think everyone should have one of these filters. After purchasing the cartridges in a pack are like 6 pounds (buying the set of 3), seriously, well worth the money!!!

I decided to wait a couple of weeks to test my Brita before writing a review.Firstly which one to go for the jugs, the Brita Flow or the Brita Optimax.I used to have the jug, constantly filling it up so this was scored off my list! I drink a lot of water so now between two, I checked out the Optimax and some people stated they had problems taking out the reservoir and replacing it!! Tight and scraping plastic whilst replacing so guess what, down to one?Bought it, Great Price, prompt delivery, easy to assemble, easy to fill up, little countdown monitor at the top to let me know when to change the filter. I placed it on the top shelf of my American fridge. Tasty water, clean & fresh. So I’m so so happy with my decision. Only one problem but not to do with my Brita, the shelves on the door of my fridge cannot be moved up or down and it hits off the Brita everytime I close the door! so once I fill up a glass I just need to slide it backwards a little so it doesn’t hit off the door. Problem solved!! So if your thinking which one to go for I would recommend Brita Flow??

I was buying bottled water roughly 30 1.5 litre/2 litre bottles a week. So i decided to see if there was an option where we could all drink filtered tap water without it costing a fortune or meaning a lot of effort. The filter jugs weren't big enough for the needs of my family so when i saw this i bought it straight away. It's perfect. It fits neatly in my fridge & we just pull it forward slightly to use take water out. It has an indicator to tell you when to change the filter. We fill it when we take water out using a jug. Cleaning is as easy as cleaning a tupperware box or the drawer in the bottom of your fridge. My best friend was impressed & is buying 1 too. This will save us money as well as saving the world from plastic bottles. I liked my water with a touch of flavour so i bought an infusion bottle & i use waterdrops & cold infusions by twinnings or tetley in my bottle. I'm very impressed, water tastes great without flavouring. Highly recommend buying this.Read full review...

Went walking one day during this corona shajt and saw one my neighbours. 85 year old lady. I says, do you beed some help with shopping or something? No thanks she says. Me, are u sure? At least let me buy you the heavy stuff/bottles of water. Naaa she says. I drink tap water. What? Left me thinking. Here she is 85 and healthy walking about. An English woman at that. There was me an immigrant, fairly young man who has much less money than her buying bottles and bottles of water! What a fool I’ve been all these years. The amount of money! wasted! and god knows the amount of rubbish i caused. Anyway I thought from the state of my kettle/limescale i wont drink tap but at least I’ll buy one of those brita things.Happy i did.Used this for about 3-4 weeks now. All is good. I feel quite smug at times as well I might add every time i use it ?PS. Bought the xl with the tap thing as well as the jug one. The xl with tap much better and easier to use ?

I love, love, love this filter! We were buying and using so much bottled water - I was feeling very guilty about all the plastic every time I looked in our recycling bin.The dispenser fits perfectly on the top shelf of our fridge (I measured it before ordering) It takes up about half of the shelf but that is where we would store our bottled water.I’ve always wanted a water dispenser but didn’t have the money to buy an all singing, all dancing fridge. This is a perfect substitute.I’ve used the jugs before and always found the dimensions awkward - struggled to fit them in the door and the height meant they couldn’t be kept on the shelf. It was annoying having to refill the jug every time you wanted a drink. The dispenser holds enough water to fill once a day (with 3 of us drinking from it) I would definitely recommend this brita filter.

I've included these two images to show the size. The first shows the product on its own in the fridge and the second with a 2ltr bottle of Coke next to it and a jar of jam to show the scale. This product is fantastic and I wish I'd gotten it sooner. It is so unusual in that I've never seen anything like it elsewhere or in shops. Suits my needs perfectly. It's large and won't need topped up as often as a jug, and due to the built in indicator I can see the filter life easily. The tap doesn't leak and is very easy to open and close (pull and push rather than twisting which is great for my arthritic hands). It does take up a fair amount of room but is a very worthy trade off for a very large reservoir of cold, clean, filtered water ready for a busy household. Highly recommended.

I love this water filter! I live in a hard water area where the water tastes awful, so I bought this to see if it would improve the water as I didn’t want to start buying bottles and bottles of plastic. I’m so glad I did, the water tastes much better and it’s always lovely and cold. I got this large one as I drink a lot of water and I fill it up twice a day max. It’s a bit of a pain to set up as you clean everything, then you have to submerge the filter in water twice, then fill the whole thing up just to empty it (such a waste of water) and then it’s good to go. But it’s worth it to have decent drinking water and to not be using lots of plastic water bottles.

I have been filling and adding grapefruit to the bottom section for filtered healthy drink and I won’t be without one now.I am not sure what the memo reminder button does it’s is supposed to remind me when I need to change cartridge - can’t comment as product is new. Instructions are difficult to follow as refer to the jug mainly which is odd but it’s is easy enough to figure out without then so not really needed. It fits nicely in the fridge but had to lower shelf which is fine as I wanted the bigger filter rather than keep filling jug. Looks nice in ice blue colour. Very happy with my choice.Very happy overall, great product. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic for a larger family or water enthusiasts! Our BRITA jug lasted many years but it’s just not big enough for a family of four to regularly use so this is great. Would recommend when you fill it up the first time you put the unit in your sink and fill it up very slowly as if you were just to fill the reservoir, you’re not using the full capacity of the unit. I ran it so that the reservoir didn’t overflow and it was constantly filtering (it filters quite slowly) before putting it in the fridge. You can always pop the lid off and top it off with it in your fridge and then pop the lid back on as well. Lovely cool filtered water and enough for everyone!

Really pleased with this purchase, water no longer has a chemical taste and it's great having a large supply of clean cold water in the fridge, the water is very hard in my area and i virtually have to descale my kettle weekly, not any more thanks to filling it up with the water in my brita tank, i descailed my kettle a month ago before the first filling up with filtered water and my kettle has honestly staid spotless, tea and coffee definitely tastes better, if you have very hard water definitely get one or even if you don't get one so you have lovely cold clean water in the fridge to drink, wish I'd bought one years ago, highly recommended ?

I bought this tank as we have moved house recently and now live in a hard water area so are having to get everything switched to filters. We have a child and I didn't want to use our old jug as that would undoubtedly lead to spills. This is a great tank, fits in our american style fridge great, my son loves drinking the "tasty water that is super refreshing and yummy". He loves that he can just go in the fridge and do it all by himself. I am trying to find a way to extend the tap out of the front as it doesn't stick out far enough in our fridge, I have had to sit it right on the edge of the shelf to be able to put the cup underneath.

I wanted a water filter that I could keep in the fridge so I would have cold water on tap and big enough to fill my kettle with as needed. Well this one is the Bees Knees! it is fantastic doesn't take up too much room in my fridge and big enough that I don't need to keep filling it up after every use. Since I starting using this filtered water my kettle has not had any scale marks at all and it is like new. I have been using this water filter now for 2 weeks and I love it. It has an easy fill slider on the top so you do not need to lift it out of the fridge to fill it just use a jug. I would highly recommend this water filter

This holds sufficient water for a family of 4 no problem.Myself with my partner drink a lot of water (8-10 L a day) and this little guy handles that no problem. The total capacity is around 8L which means with a simple fill in the morning you can have sufficient water for the whole day.Water tastes good (we live in London where the water is very hard <400 ppm). The product feels well build and after 2 months using it I did not notice any leakages or loss of quality.Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a cost effective convenient way to have filtered water at home.
