Not sure why its called a "Fun Water Filter" there's really not much fun to be had with it. This filter/jug is ideal for single person use, sharing it with two people is pushing it as it doesn't hold that much water (1.5L is the total capacity as stated on the box)The jug has a slim design with no handle, the upside of this is that it will fit into that compartment on your fridge door easily. The lid is also designed well, pressing one end allows you to pour the water, pressing the other end closes the lid to avoid any spills. Also included is a small digital display on the lid which will remind you when to replace the filter. The only thing i have docked a star for is the instructions. My god its just a water filter how could the instructions on how to use it be so convoluted. Theres a nice big instruction leaflet in the box with 24 step by step pictures on how to install the filter and add the water... The pictures don't even relate to this specific model either from what I can tell.Futher down there are some written instructions for about 3 other models which you dont own just to try and confuse you i assume.Anyway I looked it up online and think the method is.1. Fill jug with water.2. Submerge filter in the jug and shake it side to side.3. Remove filter from the water and place it into the coloured compartment that holds it.4. Fill the compartment with water and allow it to drain through. Repeat this twice and discard the water.5. Its then ready for use.Why they cant just say this clearly in the instructions is beyond me.

I have always struggled with water taste in my house as we live in a hard water area. I've been trying to reduce plastic, and so I've got a new glass kettle, but I couldn't eliminate the horrible chemical taste in my morning cuppa and the limescale coating which furs the kettle. I really resent having to de-scale my kettle every week!! I can't find anything reasonably priced on the market which does the job of filtering water made out of glass, so I looked for a small and cheap BPA-free plastic water filter jug and I went for Brita because of its reputation. It's a cute little jug which doesn't take up too much space on the worktop. It's certainly made a difference to the taste of my water and I find it easy to fill up.I like the lid design feature which means you can switch to 'pour mode' really quickly and neatly. It provides enough water for making 2-3 cups of tea and I really like the handle-free design which looks good. I don't have any problem using the jug without a handle, despite a bit of arthritis in my hands. I don't use it for fridge/cold water, only for the kettle, so if you want lots of cold water 'on tap' you might want something bigger. I agree with other reviewers - the instructions for use are just ridiculous and don't even refer to this model.

I bought this to replace a standard fridge-sized jug. It has pros and cons.Good:It doesn't dribble (my old jug was terrible for this). It takes up less space in my fridge door.I prefer the material - it seems to be easier to clean and I hope will attract less limescale. There won't be any struggle to remove the inner funnel for cleaning and I won't get confused about which way round the funnel goes. Not so good:The inner funnel is tiny. I had to fill it three times to fill the jug.You have to remove the lid to fill it.Some other reviewers have commented that it's hard to hold. I haven't found this a problem, even when it's full, but perhaps someone with small hands or a child might need to use two hands.

I don't like tap water so have used a filter jug at home for years. Since retiring I have been travelling a lot, but do not want to rely on bottled water because of the environmental issues. I tried taking my home filter jug with me when it was practical, but found it rarely fitted easily in other fridges. So I bought this one and it is perfect. It is lightweight, compact and easy to use and has fitted easily in all of the fridges I have come across so far. It works just like any other Brita filter jug and if I am only away for a short time, I can transfer the filter between jugs so am not wasting filters. Oh, and it looks cute too. Most useful thing I've bought in ages.

This is great for those of us with limited space in the fridge, it takes up a fraction of the space compared to standard jugs. It's easy to hold and it looks well made, the water filters through quite quickly too.My only gripe is that you have to remove the whole lid to fill it up and I worry that over time the seal between the lid and the tank will weaken over time. It also makes it a bit of a pain to fill as it only takes about 1 cup of water at a time. The lid 'rocks' in order to open/close the spout which takes a little getting used to. But these design elements are necessary to keep the jug as compact as possible I guess, so it's a reasonable trade off.

This was the only filter jug I could find that would fit in a small fridge door. No handle means that although it's more difficult to pic up but it saves a lot of valuable fridge space.I like the open close mechanism. I've never known why other filter jugs need to have such an elaborate lid to be honest. The electric indicator is really difficult to reset and requires pressing heavily on the button for a long period of time.Overall it's ok except I wish that it looked a little more chic. Not every item that's designed for small spaces needs to be coloured in bright crazy "fun" colours. The brightness of it reminds me of a sippy cup.

After many years without a water filter, I realised this was preferable to lugging heavy bottled water from the supermarket. I like the design and the colour accents. I don’t miss the absence of the handle, the graded change in surface and the raised branding have been enough, for me at least, to grip easily in and out of the fridge. Sits in the door compartment and the lack of handle means better use of door space. The see-saw like design of the filter lid and unit is another easy aspect of the overall design and there are few crevices where detritus accumulates requiring cleaning. Good for single/small households.

So far so good. Easy to clean. Really slow to filter the water. Have to fill twice to get a good amount of water. Just descaled my kettle so hope to see a reduction in limescale. Water tastes fresh. Fits well in the fridge door. Easy to pour. Thought the meter was broke but just needs holding in a few seconds. Comes with 1 cartridge. Arrived in its original box not a postage box, also covered in stickers. Comes with instructions though i found hard to understand. Can be slippery when taken it out of fridge. Would prefer handle but wanted a compact jug as my fridge isn't huge

I purchased this for my Nespresso machine at my office. The water where I work is hard and there's always a film that floats on your brew and I found it was effecting my Nespresso Vertuo. The filters do exactly as they should and the entire thing fits neatly into the fridge door, so sometimes I'll add fresh lemons to the bottom to have lemon infused water ice cold....obviously not for the coffee machine! If you have a family of 3+ then this is too small but for 1-2 adults its a great size. Yes it's basic but its a great price and filters water so for me it gets a thumbs up.

Pros:1. Jug is thin and slim and has modern design2. It's equal to two 2 pint milk containers in width, roughly, So I we could put 2 jugs in the fridge door3. It's easy to hold even though it doesn't have a handleOnly one con:My husband and I drink lots of water so we constantly filling this jug up, as a result the water is cold but never cold enough. We didn't want the bigger model because of the space it takes and we will not buy another jug as it will double the cost of the filters. If we had a bigger fridge - we'd definitely buy the bigger model with the handle.

I bought this Brita Fun Water Filter Jan for my mom. I have the same but in purple. I love the design. Very comfy for a small family to have fresh and clean drinking water. This jug is not big and fits to the fridge door shelf easily! Very nice when it’s hot weather ;-) the Jugis easy to use, there is a electronic timer counting down 4 weeks to remind when to change the filter cartridge. The cartridge is Britta Maxtra model. Easy to install. I don’t clean my kettle anymore because the water is so clean that there is no limescale! Would recommend everyone!

Surprisingly good filter jug. Not too big and heavy for my arthritic hands and wrists, I can pick this up much more easily than I was expecting. The surface has a sort of texture that makes it nonslip. The shape looks gimmicky but really it isn't, it's extremely well designed and works beautifully. No buildup of hard water deposits with this jug. No awkward corners that are hard to clean. And it looks good too.A real economy of shape and line.Very pleased with this, would buy again if it ever needs replacing.

I really like this. I get through the filter quite quickly but I bought it for my husband mostly as he likes cold water straight from the fridge and this is a good size without taking up too much space in the fridge door. I love the colour choices. It's easy to handle and I like the slip lid and we have cut down our plastic bottle water consumption by using it. We've always had a BRitta filter jug for general water but this is great for the fridge for cold water on hand.

We have a larger, handled version of this at home but wanted a smaller one for use in our motorhome as fridge space is limited. Being handle free, this is perfect, and the indented design means it is easy to grasp and handle. The blue part tilts one way to enable pouring, and then back to ensure there are no spills, even when we are travelling and it is in the fridge door. The dark lid has a lip to make it easy to prise off to refill the jug. Smaller, simple, perfect.

It filters like any other Brita filter! So the water it produces is lovely to drink. I really like the colour accent. But I have it only 4 stars because of a design flaw. Picking it up is uncomfortable - the raised border around the Brita logo means your fingers and thumb need to grip over it and it’s pretty uncomfortable when the jug is full.It would have been so easy to mold a hand grip shape into the plastic ..... did no one pick it up when full during testing??
