Delivery took slightly longer to arrive than stated, probably due to Covid, but not a deal breaker for me. Everything arrived nicely packed and I damaged. I have an Altra Lone Peak as well and the sizing / fit was the same. (One for trail and one for road running) This will be my second pair of Altria’s and quite honestly, I prefer this shoe to my Nike Pegasus anytime for street runs. Nike has done well in the design department, but cannot come close to the run feel and functionality of the Torin 4.

i only wear altra shoes because of their zero drop ,and wide toe box, and this is the best altra yet. better than previous torins, and better than the escalante, duo and paradigm. the reason is the fit, which is perfect. no ankle slippage at all and the lacing system holds the foot beautifully to prevent any lateral slipping. my only gripe is that it could do with just a little more cushioning, but then this would add extra weight to what is an incredibly lightweight shoe.

Already running the Torin 4 plush and was thrilled. Due to the very appealing look for me, I now also bought the Torin 4. When I put it on for the first time, I noticed that it was much closer than the Plush. But that is exactly his strength, he fits like a 2 skin. After 10 kilometers, the shoe fits exactly as it did at the beginning. It rolls off like butter and does exactly what my feet want. What is noticeable is that it never attracts attention. My new favorite shoe!

first other and first drop, zero. perfect size like other shoes. lots of finger space which is the main reason I bought them. very snug on the instep and heel: I thought they were abundant like the nb 1080, instead they are enveloping like the hokas. cushioned but very reactive. on asphalt you feel excellent grip; I still have to try them on dirt. no problem with the drop, zero, but I was already working on the forefoot. more than satisfied for the moment.

If you are familiar with the altra running shoes concept then torin 4.0 is a "must". Extremely comfortable, snug fit at the mid foot which encourages both easy and fast tempos. i haven´t tried them in a real long run yet but they seem like they can accomplish the task with ease. very happy with the purchase. i think the torin 4.0 along with my lone peak 4.0 are an excellent zero drop, choice. fast and safe purchase from runnerinn.com - many thanks!

It is my first pair of Altra. I was considering to try it since months, but somehow was afraid of zero drop. But the time has finally come and I have ordered one on runnerinn. Best price on the market in that moment. Shoes were delivered in 5 working days, so really quick. First impression - very nice design and wide :) On the feet - perfect fit! Absolutely no pain after first runs. Enough amortization, lot of space for toes. Good choice!

I bought them to have an option for wet roads, since the Timp 2.0 is a suicide on wet and icy surfaces... If Timp 2.0 would have a better traction and a similar mesh like these Torin they would be beast, almost perfect.. So Torin 's traction or grip is better but not something great either. Will wait for a fusion between the two. Dry days:Timp 2.0, rainy or icy: Torin4 (or 4.5maybe but there's no mesh version.. So far..)

Being used to running with climbing 1.5, I was very pleasantly surprised! these shoes are very comfortable for long distance road. they are very dynamic and light so that we enjoy a good rebound of the ground and a very good feeling of lightness. pay attention to the drop, 0mm which recommends a stride adequate to this kind of shoes. as for the width of the front of the foot, it is perfect for the feet more "flat".

Ordered size 40, should listened to "true to size" comments, so have go with eu 41. Toes did not quite touch the end but clearly needed more space there if recommendation is about 1 cm. Otherwise shoe was very light, outsole was VERY bouncy and snappy, well cushioned and comfortable. For reference other shoe sizes: VibramKso evo 41 VibramVrun 40 Merrell trail glove 5, 41 and half.

I have been walking on the Altra Escalante for quite some time. Great fast shoe but a little too light for me for the marathon. That's why I chose the Torin 4 with the thicker sole and I don't regret it. I have already done some endurance runs and my feet do not bother me. So for the longer endurance, I can recommend the Torin 4 to everyone!

2nd pair of these and will be buying a 3rd. great space for toes to be comfy. nice and light but reasonably supportive. can feel my feet working as opposed to being propped up and strapped in by some of the bulkier shoes. zero drop ,isn't a problem, but you may need to focus on taking care of your calves with the foam roller or similar.

I state that I come from the world of Mizuno and that I like to run taking care of the posture and running technique. The Altra Torin 4, immediately gave me a good feeling of forward thrust and offered a configuration suitable for my way of racing. I took them of the same number as used with the Mizuno and I must say they fit well.

Great shoe. All the benefits of a barefoot style shoe whilst being kind to my feet. Previously I have tried numerous barefoot brands & shoes and all of them felt so comfortable at first but after a period of time the bottoms of my feet would become so beat up from all of the pavement walking and running. So for me these are great.

having run a certain time as rené with the Escalante over moderate distances 15-20km. I also think that the torin 4 is the drop shoe, 0 mm perfect for the marathon thanks to its thick sole (26 mm) which allows comfort and a very interesting elastic return. be careful the shoes altra require a time of adaptation to the drop, 0mm.
