I have used Escalante 1.5, Escalante racer edition and now Escalante 2. While the racer edition remains my all-time favorite with its light-weight, immediate future and responsiveness, Escalante 2 needs some breaking in and seems to run half a size smaller. However the responsiveness is all there. I had my second run of the day in the evening and whilst I had wanted to do a slow run, this new pair that I received fresh out of box seemed like an over-enthusiastic dog eager for its first walk (run). I wore it and it’s responsiveness felt surreal.. I get being dragged forwarded by it to be honest lol. It sure doesn’t allow u to go too slow, and I guess that’s a good thing!

Im big fan of Altras, this is my 4th pair, first time Escalante. I love that I can use them for non-sport activities or for traveling as they do not look strictly as a sport shoe. They have slightly sturdier sole and they have bit thicker, less breathable material compare to Lone Peak. Still super comfortable. Although I usually don't need to break in into Altra's I do recommend to take these for shorter walk first as they rubbed my skin a bit the very first time during 6km walk, 2nd time was perfect, no issues, high comfort. I definitely recommend.

I've had these shoes for a little over a year now (model 1.5) for work, worn indoors, for which thy are perfect because of their breathability and ample cushioning. I also wear them for long walkes on pavement. For offroad use they are a bit too wobbly for my feet, but as I didn't get them for that, I can say they are just perfect. The textile upper wears out pretty quickly when worn daily, at least in the previous 1.5 model.

This is my second pair of the escalante 2. These are a bit more sturdy than my last gray pair but still super supple and flexible. I love how they fit my insoles and Correct toes so I can walk and run pain-free. I use them for every day life and don´t want to wear any other shoes anymore. Love them so much. I usually wear 36, I wear 37.5 in them. Measure your feet just to be sure!

The size is the only "problem" with Altra, but since I knew that, I ordered one size bigger so they where perfect! They are light, a little bit hard the first run, but softens up quite fast. Gives you a lot of space for your toes and Immediately improves your running technique. Sweet!

If you are a forefoot runner then these are the shoes for you !!!!! I have trained for and run a marathon in these shoes. And I haven't gotten any blisters. And they are so light it is so nice and easy to run long distance in them. I would recommend them !!

These are my favorite shoes! They are perfect for all running types but especially toe strike or forefoot runners. The larger toe box means you can comfortably land on the front of your foot and your toes can fan out to balance you.

I am a huge fan of all Altra shoes with the Escalante my go-to for daily training and road races. They are super cushioned and super light. The wide toe box and zero drops makes running a dream. Totally love version 2.

I have perished excellent, very light and above all very comfortable, I have more perception in my foot when running or walking with them. Very good product and a good choice.

They are the best running shoes I have ever worn. They are super light and the fingers can be calm without anything that compresses them. It is of excellent quality.

Very good running shoes for those looking for zero drop shoes. Size small so order 1/2 above. for wide feet it is incomparable comfort with other shoes.

The shoe is good on the foot, good toe space. The shoes put on a quick trip from Plus because the delivery takes a long time.
