My previous vacuum cleaner was a cordless Hoover (the brand) that cost around £100, but I gave it to someone a while ago thinking I was moving home, and then actually ended up staying, so found myself hooverless. I'm on a tight budget at the moment so spent ages comparing prices and models and reading reviews, looking for a budget option.Buying this model felt a bit risky, because as well as the many positive reviews, there are also some negative ones. But I took a leap of faith and went for it.Some reviewers thought the vacuum cleaner looked like a toy, but upon opening the box, I didn't think so at all. It seems to be pretty well built, and I will add my voice to all those who are praising the power of the suction, because this is really good. I live alone in a small flat, and I would say this vacuum cleaner is an ideal budget replacement for the more expensive Hoover.Things to be aware of — yes, the cord isn't very long, but it's proportionate to the vacuum cleaner and it wraps up neatly which would be a problem if it was any longer. For small flats with power sockets around the place the lead is long enough, and if the worst comes to the worst you could use an extension cable for some areas.I wouldn't suggest this vacuum cleaner is suitable for a large house. When I emptied the vacuum cleaner for the first time, I managed to get dust everywhere, because the filter section fell out. But this is just getting used to a new product, I feel, rather than a fault with the design. I was grateful for another reviewer suggesting using an old toothbrush to clean the filter, this is a good idea and seems to work well. I would suggest cleaning the filter after every use, it's easily accessible and only takes a couple of minutes.Honestly, for this price, you're not going to get something amazing. But if it remains working as it has so far for a couple of years, hopefully a few years, then I feel it's money well spent. If I have any problems after multiple uses I'll try to remember to come back and add notes to this review. But yeah, in a word... bargain.

I read quite a few reviews about this vac before i purchased it , comments saying it didnt suck up human hair hair or pet fur ? which i will say made me question my purchase or not , however i gave it the benefit of doubt as there were far more good reviews than bad, well when i used it , it blew the bad reviews away! because this vac sucked up brilliantly, i have a cylinder vac i use regular and thought it was doing a good job , i wanted something more lightweight for ease as i have fibromyalgia and arthritis so dragging the cylinder vac around at times specially on stairs was getting to be a hard task! anyway ..the cylinder vac i thought was doing great isnt so great because i had vacuumed already with it the day this arrived and to my amazement this stick vac was almost full of pet fur and lots of bits and dust almost immediately! i was amazed! i love it and although its not super built and super strong like some top end brands its super made for what i paid for , it certainly did not match any of the bad reviews it got - im loving it !! i actually felt my carpets and rugs were clean, yes the filter did have pet fur and fluff on it - but isnt that what filters are for ?? i never saw a filter that was clean after a vac yet ? i easily cleaned the filter several times whilst vaccing my flat , i used a little brush and gently brushed it clean again - I dont think it will last me years but i really didnt expect it to at £29 i will enjoy it for as long as it keeps going - I am a very happy customer :)

Wonderful little product. Very suitable for people living in flats like myself. Easily assembled and storage isnt a problem. I dont know much about the strength/power of vacuum machines but this little devil works very nicely for its price. I used it on wood floors, carpet, rug, and on my damn balcony. It is very flexible. The cable/wire can be fussy cuz you need to tie it around the arm when you are done (unlike ones that suck the cable in them) but even so, the design of the arm accomodates the wire, has like 2 hooks to wrap the wire around it.The pedal or watever its called(the part that sucks the dirt) , feels a bit fragile, so just dont bang it here and there and expect it to last. Finally, the small wheels in the same part accomodate forward vacuuming but if u pull the arm back towards u it is less efficient because the dirt trapper thing under this suction part isnt smooth to go backwards.I hope you understood what I meant cuz its hard to explain in the right technical words.Should you buy it?If u live alone or a couple in an apartment which mostly is wooden floors or tiles and you dont have much storage space then yeah get it.For bigger house hold i wouldnt recommend that lovely product... Only because you need something more durable strong i guess. But i love it so far.Treat it well and it will do the same bak!Btw you can remove the long arm and use it as a smaller vacuumer for corners and cupboards which is kinda cool..

I feel a bit bad for leaving less than a 5 star review. This small vacuum is ideal for what I bought it for, we’ve recently had hard floors fitted throughout our downstairs and I wanted something that I can whizz round with every day without getting my big Henry out. It’s great, although it is technically just a handheld vacuum on a stick. When you test it out it moves really well, much like the Dyson ball vacuums and then when you actually use it, it turns out that the whole unit swivels smoothly but the foot plate doesn’t move, so you find yourself contorting all over the place to get it in the direction you want.Previous reviews have said it doesn’t cope well on carpet.Well I’ve just hoovered my whole house (4 bed detached, thank you very much) with hard floors downstairs and carpet upstairs. It did an adequate job on the carpets, not amazing but passable (and don’t forget it is just a handheld unit!).The cord could be longer, but the chamber wasn’t even 3/4 full when I’d finished and I’ve got 2 kids who exist on toast and Hama beads so it had its work cut out.All in all, it’s good for what it is. And on the hottest UK day of all time it was nice not to have a massive piece of equipment to cart round the house.

Well what can I say - when this first arrived I thought I’d ordered a kids toy - the box was so small ! But took it out put it together ( really easy ) and just thought this won’t do the job !However, I was wrong. I have a very hairy black Labrador and beige carpets and my Vax died yesterday ! Not having the budget for the Shark I wanted just yet - I opted for this as a stop gap. As you can see from the before and after pictures my dog sheds a lot of hair (this is a days worth!) Really impressed with the suction power of this little vacuum and it’s done a fairly good job of lifting all the hairs.Whether it lasts or not I don’t know - literally used it the once - but this is a vacuum for less than 30 quid and I’m happy with the results so far!I don’t have thick carpets and I can see this working better on hard floors because there are no brushes on the head - but it’s lightweight, easy to use and will also be great for the car - with the little crevice tool.Overall a good buy for the short term and I’m impressed with the power and ease of use.

I saw this product a long while ago and put it on my wish list, because it had decent reviews and was just under £30. I totally forgot about it and then decided I needed a hoover as my last broke and remembered this. I then noticed it had gone down to £19.99 so bought it. It was easy to put together, suction isn't the best in the world, but it does pick up really well...even the bigger bits like paper bits where the cat has scratched my wallpaper and cat hair (?) I love that you can detach it for a handheld, which is great for stairs and sofa. The lead isn't massively long, but I have extension leads so not an issue. It's not overly loud either. It is easy to empty. All in all a great little vacuum.I don't know how long it will last, but for now it's doing a great job.***Update***When you pull out the head and push it back in, please be aware that the plastic compartment you push it back into is prone to cracking/snapping so be careful.

I bought this little hoover for a small flat with mostly wood flooring and some carpet. I was a bit dubious about a few things so read the reviews and decided to give it a go. After a few uses now, for the price it is very good. As there’s no brush on the foot I was a bit worried it wouldn’t pull hair up from the carpet, but it does work for the vast majority. I’ve found the long handle to be hard to take off to turn the hoover into a hand-held but this I imagine will improve with time. It’s very light and with the foot attachment on it is freestanding which is a bonus as it’s slim enough to tuck away in the cupboard when not in use. To empty the hoover,it is very easy indeed and requires minimal effort and is just as easy to put back together. Overall I would definitely recommend this hoover more for hard flooring than I would soft such as carpets.

So my vacuum broke and I needed something cheap to use till I could afford something decent. Saw the reviews and went with this one. Now I've only used it once but I'm very surprised. Lets be honest now with the usual prices you dont expect much for £30 but this was east to assemble, it is small and lightweight and did a very good job on my flat especially considering I hadn't hoovered in a good few days. My carpet is quite thick so it did take a bit of arm power to move it and I had to bend as I'm tall and it did take longer than normal but it sucked up what it needed too including cat hair. I think you'll need to empty it and make sure you clean the filter after every use and I don't expect it to last forever but overall I'm delighted.Worked on my lino too. Definitely worth the money.

I bought this as an extra cleaner for our attic room to save carrying up my heavier Shark vacuum and I am very impressed with it. The suction is powerful for such a small machine and I was surprised (and horrified!) at how much dust and fluff it collected. It is easy to empty although the filter is a bit messy. It doesn't pick up all the cats' hairs but I wouldn't expect it to as it hasn't a revolving brush head. It is very light, very manoeuvrable and the small head gets round all the furniture easily. It converts to a handheld quickly for cleaning the stairs. The only disadvantage is the power cable isn't as long as I would like so I had to stop half way down the stairs to plug in downstairs to finish. For an inexpensive vacuum cleaner it is excellent.

I was so excited to write my review for this because it is AMAZING!!! For such little money I wasn’t expecting much, but needed something for my tiny 1bed with wooden floors. This vacuum cleaner stores away in a little nook perfectly which is honestly half the battle in a small flat. As far as suction power goes I was blown away- If not a little horrified at what it sucked up after just one use! It is incredibly strong and gets everything off rugs too, to the point where you have to put your feet on the corners if you don’t want the whole thing sucked up!! This vacuum cleaner would be a bit small for anything bigger than a flat I think, but if you’re looking for something to keep a small space clean,I can’t recommend this enough

Live in a flat so did not rate stairs.Really lightweight, easy to use, great suction! The only difference between this and leading cordless cleaners is that this plugs in!!Myself and my daughter have long hair...which is a nightmare for vacuums. This lifts it...not all of it. What it doesn't lift it clumps it, which is really easy to bend down and pick up. Does better than £100+ vacuums that I've bought in the past. This has the added advantage of having a handheld cleaner too.Ive had it about a month, have 2 carpeted rooms and hardwood elsewhere. I've not had issues with it overheating, making noise or losing suction. It's incredible value and I've recommended it to friends.

Wow, I saw all the positive reviews and still wasn't 100% sure it would be as good as they were making our, but thought it was worth a try just in case. I have to say they were spot on and this hoover is fantastic. The I ly vaguely negative thing is it doesn't have too much capacity but that becuase its so small and easy to move about. Emptying it is really easy, although it's so powerful some stuff can wedge into the filter well but giving the filter some good taps removed most of it. (I also have a cleaning toothbrush on standby which does the job). I can't recommend this enough for the price, I paid £30 but it had as much power as my hetty and is a lot more maneuverable!

OK. So when you buy something as cheap you expect it to be sh*t. I was buying it because we didn’t have a vacuum cleaner for quite some time and I was tired of cleaning everything on my knees. I need it to be extra clean because we have a dog and a toddler. So yeah, it arrived, kind of looked and weight like a toy so I lowered my expectations. AND THEN I TURNED IT ON. Oh boy. That toy has some power. We have wooden floor and it worked perfectly on it. Worked good on a rug too!So, basically, as stay at home mom I’m extremely happy with it because it’s just a perfection for every day use. Of course, I only have it 7 hours. But all I wanna do is vacuum clean everything!

We bought this hoover for our caravan as it appeared to tick all the right boxes: small and lightweight with good suction. We unboxed at home to see what it was like and was amazed at just how good this hoover was, so much so that we have decided to keep the hoover for home and ditch the VERY expensive best selling brand.Hoovering the stairs is such an easy task now and no longer feels like a full blown workout.Capacity is good and we can hoover the whole house before it needs emptying.Although we would maybe have liked a slightly longer cord we truly cannot fault this fabulous product.

19.5.2020

I have to agree with the other positive reviews on this product - suction power is surprisingly good for a lightweight 2-in-1.Bought to replace my vacuum which had spontaneously died, and this small lightweight vac actually has much better suction power.Very lightweight and easy to use on stairs. The flexibility of the head sometimes sticks a bit which can be a bit frustrating if I have to tap it with my foot, but it's such a minor issue that it doesn't really bother me, and for that price and performance it's more than worth putting up with.Would definitely recommend.
