Since getting my clacker I've had boiled eggs far more often as I'm having such fun topping my eggs. I've had no accidents with smashed eggs and have got confident enough to let the ball drop twice just to ensure a deeper ridge for me to cut into to lift the top. Please note, just in case you've not used a clacker before, it's not meant to lift the top; you need to insert a sharp knife and slice through, and once clacked, this process is easy and neat.

We just love this funny gadget. We find great pleasure in using it on Saturday mornings giving us a giggle every time we have our boiled eggs. Friends of ours have also enjoyed it and often bought one after their visit with us.At first it takes a bit of practise - but that is also part of the fun.

I love this gadget! Very well made. Works best with a sharp knife to follow the cut and lift off the top. It's a great novelty and a talking point. Best thing is I speak German and I love the name! I have German friends who have never heard of it and they are so intrigued!

A nice way to wake yourself up in the mornings or whenever you feel like eating a freshly boiled egg. With a hitrate close to 100 you'll get to the good stuff in a new way compared to before.

Bought my previous clacker 50 yearsAgo in Austria after almost daily use it broke.This replacement looks good works extremely well easy to clean and hopefully will last as long.

This clacker is well made from aluminium and does the job brilliantly. Having been sceptical, I'm now a convert & have even bought a few as presents.
