A YOUNG VISITOR SPILLED A QUANTITY OF A COLA SOFT DRINK INTO THE CONTROLLER A FEW YEARS AGO. ALTHOUGH IT WAS DRIED AS MUCH AS WE COULD AT THE TIME IT SUFFERED WORSE AND WORSE PERFORMANCE AND EVENTUALLY GOT SO BAD IT HAD TO BE REPLACED TO AVOID FURTHER FRUSTRATION. IT WAS A LITTLE TRICKY TO SET UP TO OPERATE THE TV SET AS WELL ( I KNOW FROM READING OTHER PEOPLES' REVIEWS) THAT OTHERS FIND THIS TRICKY. tHE SECRET SEEMS TO BE TO PRACTICE THIS UNTIL YOU CAN PERFORM THE WHOLE PROCESS (DESCRIBED IN THE INSTRUCTIONS SUPPLIED) IN A FAIRLY SHORT TIME (WITHOUT HAVING TO PAUSE TO SEE WHAT TO DO NEXT FROM THE MANUAL). THIS SOUNDS COMPLICATED BUT YOU WILL CERTAINLY MANAGE IT WITH LESS THAN ABOUT 5 PRACTISE RUNS).THIS IS DONE WITHOUT DIFFICULTY WHEN SKY IS FIRST SUPPLIED -- HOW?

I look after our Grand daughter twice per week. She loves Sky kids. I found out the remote had failed, no amount of coaxing and changing of batteries made any difference. Help! Grand daughter was arriving after school in 90 minutes. I rang Argos, recently moved into our local Sainsbury's, and no problem we have one here, we will reserve it for you. In 25 minutes I was down to Argos and back home. My Grand daughter watched all her favourite programmes having no idea that Argos had saved the day!

I bought this to replace a similar one which had been playing up, slow to respond etc. Its early days but so far this one is working well. The range and responsiveness are both better, but I do wonder why this one is referred to as white (and black)when its definitely grey. After I bought it I couldnt help but wonder whether I should have saved some money and gone for the cheaper one, but as long as it works for a long while I wont complain.

The one that was given me when I first got my Sky + , was not even the right remote control - and the "select " button did not work right!! Sky told me to go to you to replace the remote, that's when I found out I actually had the wrong remote!! The right one which a nice gentleman in shop showed me has worked perfectly and I did not have to set anything up on it to use- was able to use as soon as batteries were put in!!

This was a replacement for a unit that had received lots of use over quite a few years.In the past I have had issues getting this to connect/synch with the TV, but no such problems this time around. The leaflet with the code numbers was bang up to date and the code was accepted first time. It took about 3 minutes from opening the box to get it working, and most of that was getting the batteries installed.

The various buttons on my previous Sky+ remote had become sticky and ineffective so this was a straight replacement. Don’t think I’d realised how bad the previous remote had become until I bought this and suddenly I can change channels from all directions. Does exactly what it’s supposed to do so thoroughly recommend it if you’ve suddenly found yourself walking to the TV to change channels again.

So glad to get a replacement remote as our original was worn out on the fast forward & stop buttons.The only minus is that it will not mute or adjust the sound. I Googled the problem & it is a common fault for an unknown reason. Instructions given to hold down the red button for 2 seconds do not work. Thankfully, the TV remote adjusts the sound so it's not a major problem ~ merely an annoyance.

It does the job, it fits perfectly in my hand and if the wife wants it she'll require of me to have a general anaesthetic to get it out of my hand. I have used a different model to this and its a case of knowing where the buttons are to be able to fall asleep and switch off SKY at the same time, and this one does it so easily.

needed to replace after original gave up ghost after 6 years. took some time to get the sequence to store properly despite doing correctly. initially it did not control the volume, as some other reviewers found but the last attempt has enabled all the functions to operate. fingers crossed it stays this way!

First class help from your assistant. Very good price for item. No cost for delivery to me for collecting it from your store. Thank you Argos. Bonus for buying a second item from you of £10.00 Bought the second item because the assistant was so helpful which then took &10.00 off my Sky T.V control.

I bought the sky remote as the other one was broken and sky was unable to replace it .But they recommened that I buy it from argos. I Reserved the sky remote a day before via website works great no problems and it had batteries in them so i didnt have to buy the batteries separate !Good buy

I bought a second hand hd sky+box they didnt have the remote so I purchased thisone. After reading some reviews people were saying the volume didnt work, so i rang sky they gave me instructions on how to make my remote work,and the volume works perfectly with no problems....well worh the money

I couldn't believe how quick and easy it was to replace my old remote which was becoming harder and harder to operate properly. It was great not to have to go through Sky and just pick up at my local Argos. This remote does exactly what it says on the tin. I wish I had bought it a lot sooner!

PERFECT - A DIRECT REPLACEMENT FOR MY ORIGINAL REMOTE THAT PACKED UPUNEXPECTEDLY. SERVICE FROM ARGOS WAS EXCELLENT. BIT PRICEY FOR A MEREREMOTE CONTROL, BUT I ASSUME THAT HAS PROBABLY MORE TO DO WITH SKY THAN ARGOS - AT LEAST YOU DO GET THEDURACELL BATTERIES WITH IT AS WELL !

This is a direct replacement for the remote control originally supplied by Sky for my Sky + box. Whilst it worked immediately with the box it took a little time and effort to pair it with thr TV. Not difficult at all and the instructions guide you comprehensively.Very happy.
