I bought this replacement remote control for Samsung TV with a hope that some or most functions will work. It claimed that it did not need any programming. Well, to my great surprise it worked out of the box.I got my TV set fired up and with the remote control in my hand tested it. It reacted straight away, got my channels, got the picture and sound and the layout on the control was fairly easy to follow. The supplied leaflet was sufficient enough for easy operation. All in all this is a great replacement remote control, recommended.

Bought as a back-up for the confusing handset that came with a Samsung television intended for an elderly relation: a clean design with large, square, easily-learnt buttons being the attraction. Batteries weren't supplied (unlike the handset with the television), and the unit was slightly dearer than advertised, but it has nonetheless proved entirely satisfactory. It hasn't been necessary - yet - to use the reprogramming function, though it looks as if it might be a job for a clever youngster.

Bought old Samsung TV from a friend - no remote control. Hard to adjust it, change channels, etc. To switch it on I had to slap the back of the set! Began to leave the set on 24/7 to avoid this, but this could be a fire hazard. Then I found this universal TV remote from Argos, and decided to try it . Success! Much more convenient, and now I can switch it on and off or leave on stand-by with just the press of a button, etc. Works just like the original remote. Very happy with my purchase!!!

THE ONE FOR ALL IS FAR BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL SAMSUNG ONE.NOTHING WRONG WITH THE SAMSUNG ONE EXCEPT IT FAILED.THE ONE FOR ALL IS A FAR BETTER REMOTE CONTROL WITH MORE FEATURES.SOFT TOUCH AND A RED LIGHT COMES ON WHEN ONE PRESSES A BUTTON.PURCHASED A BUSH 22 INCH TV BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT HAD FAILED BUT JUST THE REMOTE FAILED TV PERFECT..THE BUSH TV EXCELLENT TV BUT TO BRIGHT FOR ME AS I NEED A DARK PICTURE BUT MOST LIKE A BRIGHT PICTURE. THANK YOU.

It's my second one in the last two years I bought insurance with it this time , just pot batteries and ready to use ! No complain , its slightly different from my old one so I'm not used to it yet some keys place has changed but I don't mind . My TV is ten years old and its compatible with it , very pleased .Down side is the price , I only bought them because I didn't want to buy online I could have bought them half price online.

After dropping my original remote, it stopped working. I read all the reviews and decided to go with this one.I've had my Samsung TV for about 4 years and this remote was perfect. Took it out of the box put in the batterries supplied with it and it worked straight away.The design of the buttons is exactly like my original one.I would recommend to any samsung TV users as a like for like replacement.

Kids lost old TV remote control so had to buy a replacement after a frustrating week of looking. This remote looked just like the old old and included all of the functions we commonly used. Instructions were easy to follow but we did need to spend a bit of time training some of the buttons as they did not all work straight away. This was easily done and now all the functions work as the old remote.

This product was purchased as a replacement for the original remote control that came with the TV which was malfunctioning. This new handset is well laid out and easy to use, in fact, probably better than the original. Initial operation was simplicity itself, requiring only the insertion of 2 x AAA batteries (not included, though). The handset worked first time, no problem. Highly recommended.

The original tv remote broke and I was sceptical of purchasing a universal remote. However, it was an excellent purchase, fitted the batteries and it worked perfectly straight out of the box. Same layout and function keys as the original remote so nothing new to learn. I actually prefer it as the buttons feel more positive and robust when you press them. Would definitely recommend.

Purchased this remote for my 91 year old Mum, to replace the existing Samsung remote which was failing and she was finding the buttons difficult to press. This remote, which came with batteries, worked straight out of the box with her 2008 Samsung 32in LE32A457C1DX TV and all TV functions are covered. The buttons are more sensitive and she find it very easy to use. Good product.

I bought this remote control for my Samsung Smart Televison to replace the original remote which stopped working. It works excellently. Just put AAA batteries in and it is ready to use. Product did not come with batteries. No setting up with codes etc required. It is actually a better design than the original. Very light in the hand to use. I'm pleased with it.

I bought this remote control as my old one stopped working. I read all the reviews and as I had a Samsung t.v. and the reviews were favourable, I ordered it. It is fantastic and as it says all you have to do is put in the batteries, which I ordered at the same time, and away you go. It was that easy. A great purchase and I would thoroughly recommend it.Maddynan

Great controller - better than the one it replaces (which I broke). Looks great, easy to use and every button works every time. Very pleased - I'd recommend buying one even if you don't need one!Leaving this review, however, was a mission - Argos stop asking for stupid information. Concentrate on what's important to a viewer - the review not my stupid nickname.

Only wanted this as a remote on/off plus volume control to replace dead remote for my non LCD, non LED TV. It works fine with the older technology TV, and saves fighting over who controls the sound levels!Instructions don't mention how to remove battery cover: you need to press down hard on the raised line of the cover, while sliding it towards bottom of remote.

Decided that my original Samsung remote needed to smell summery fresh so I put it in the washing machine with my bedding! .The Original remote smells lovely but sadly no longer works aside from being able raise the volume.Bought this replacement, put batteries in and that was it it worked straight away. No setup needed.(Doesn’t smell as nice tho)
