This is fantastic! I’ve already got a Logitech clicker that I bought a while back. I am a teacher and do lots of assemblies, staff training sessions etc and as such was constantly having to chase down who’d last had the lonely school clicker. Bought my own to lessen the stress. I’ve used that one countless times and been really pleased with it. It’s given at least three years of faultless service so far. This new Kensington one was offered free and I jumped at the chance to have a spare around. This has however become my primary clicker now for two important reasons:-Firstly, unlike the Logitech it is simply plug and play. The Logitech needed a few minutes to install itself on your pc to then run.No biggie and not anything for a tech-phobe to stress about but this one is ready the instant you insert the dongle. If you do a lot of presenting in different locals this will be a major advantageSecondly, it’s got a great range and connects even through furniture. Example- my classroom pc tower —(and therefore the usb dongle when attached) is under the desk. When I’m using the Logitech I have to drag the tower out into line of site or use a dongle extender through the usb. The Kensington is far more robust and I can click to my hearts content from anywhere in the room, furniture be damned! Brilliant! The only minor dislike I have is the size of the handset. I love the Logitech’s slimness. It slips easily into my small hands ( I do have small hands!) whereas the Kensington, I’m sorry to say is sized for larger, dare I say big mans hands?! It is an annoyance to me that so many “executive products” are bigger. It’s not an impediment to use but if you’ve got smaller hands and present day in day out then maybe you’d be better off with the Logitech. However for the ease of use and superior clickability, this one is a sure fire winner. If I had to choose one of my two, it’d be this one. Recommended.

I bought the next model down of this presenter (Kensington 33374EU) about a year ago as I had an important presentation at work, and having the freedom to move around the room without going back to the laptop made all the difference. So I was pleased to receive this more advanced model for review. The main differences between this and the cheaper 33374EU model are:+ Joystick control allowing you to control your mouse+ Super bright green laser pointer that works on LCD/plasma screensBoth have a facility to store the usb dongle into the handset of the presenter, but on the cheaper version this also switches the unit off saving battery power - on this (more expensive)version you have a separate button to turn it on and off. I'm surprised they didn't offer the same feature on both, as it's easy to forget you've left it on.The mouse control works well enough, but I found that it simply didn't work when in presentation mode in PowerPoint - you have to end the presentation and then the mouse works and the forward/back buttons on the presenter act as a right-click / left-click buttons respectively. I don't know why mouse mode doesn't work in presentation mode - perhaps it's a PowerPoint bug (but it works with a real mouse) - so that makes this feature of the presenter pretty pointless as you have to go back to your laptop anyway to exit the presentation. So for me the main differentiator between this and the cheaper version is the bright green laser pointer - it is very good, and does allow you to point at LCD/plasma screens, but I'm not convinced it's worth the extra money for just that feature. So my recommendation is to save yourself a little money and buy the cheaper version if you can live with the less powerful laser.

Pretty much plug and play, it works in many ways a lot like a wireless mouse, or if you have a smart TV with a pointer remote, exactly like that.It runs off 2.4GHz signal, however it doesn't need a wifi connection - it's just what transmits from the dongle plugged in to the device that is received by the remote. However, if you imagine wireless signals to be straight lines in the air, too many of them can cause interference and problems if they were to cross over. Mostly this won't be an issue at all in medium sized conference rooms running presentations, but it could potentially see conflict if in a huge lecture hall, for example. The remote is easy to hold and pretty simple to operate.Like all tech I would say it requires a bit of practice and rehearsal, but otherwise it does what you'd want. Point at the screen, click to go to next slide, play a video, whatever you've programmed that slide to do.I'm testing it with an old 2011 Macbook Pro and powerpoint, and it works absolutely fine. If you have issues initially with the dongle and connecting it up, on Mac it's System Preferences > Mouse, or on a windows, it's likely to be somewhere in Control Panel. The USB stick fits in the bottom which is a nice touch, also it runs off 3 AAA batteries - get rechargeable if you're using this a lot, and have spares. It's surprising how quick they will get used if you're using this frequently. I'd say things like this realistically have a few months in them, but then that's not that long if you think about it in terms of professional use.The cursor can be customisable which is a very pro touch, put your company logo or something funny if you like.

Bought this as tool for Power Point Presentations (PPT), teach on various types of life support courses for doctors and nurses and using the mouse always felt like a presentation cop out. Have been using this for the last 2 months and it's good. Had seen a colleague using this before, and I saw this on Amazon and a reasonable price. Have no complaints about. Really like the design plus folks don't even notice that it's in your hand (unless you use the laser pointer which is good). It's great for all you PPT needs, I noticed in some reviews that there is a problem using the device if you have a video as part of your presentation, maybe later models will resolve this issue.I like the way the USB WiFi unit/USB can be kept safley in the device itself and when pushed/clicked in to the bottom of the device in actually disappears into the device itself, very handy and a smart desgin for the housing aspect. Another bonus is that once the WiFi unit/USB is in the device it switches the pointer and device off, so no need to worry about buttons being pressed if it's in your bag or pocket, thus saving battery life! When using the device it only takes a matter of seconds for any computer to link up and you're good to go. Be nice to possibly see and integrated USB stick and WiFi unit so you can don't have to worry about using 2 sticks and all your presentations are on the same stick, again maybe this might happen in the future. Have seen a similar device on Amazon that has a green laser but it is much more expensive, but the device with a red laser one does the job!

The best thing about this presenter versus others I have used previously is that my previous models do not cope well with LCD or LED screens. To make this clearer,, if you are looking to emphasise a point - typically you can point out the part f the message that is relevant. In the olden days, most boardrooms has projections screens, but these have moved to big LCD / LED plasma TV's where you plug your laptop in. This pointer copes really well with screens - so a major plus for the modern presenter. The next best thing is the provision of an on off switch. Previous versions would turn off when you put the usb key in the device, but I have drained batteries from the key being accidentally released, whilst in my laptop bag - so another good addition. From there the comparison is similar to previous models with USB instant recognition of the device from Mac and PC and cycling forward and back through Powerpoint - very straightforward. A button also blanks the screen ahead of the reveal of your first slide - a feature I use regularly. One additional component is a tiny joystick in the middle of the device which is an alternative way of cycling through, It will also start the deck off. I see this potentially being damaged over time as it protrudes a little. However, Kensington has tried to mitigate this with the inclusion of a canvass protective bag. This is the only place where I would score this down, hence the 4 stars. I would buy this over my previous model - mainly for the screen proof pointer, but the on-off switch is a good feature.

I have tried many presenters over the years, and all of them work well in small rooms with groups of a couple of dozen, but the problem lies in big rooms with maybe a few hundred listeners - so many cannot work over a distance. I have a really good Logitech model (that I paid over £70 for) which works well, but even that struggles in bigger rooms. So, I have to be honest, that I approached this rather negatively, but surprise, surprise, the given range of 50m on this product is really true! I took control of the laptop upstairs in the back of the gallery and controlled it to project above my head at the front of the building. The remote control also has a green laser pointer which is particularly bright, which is also helpful in a bigger building/ bigger group setting. Simple left / right controls advance or rewind slides. When you power up the remote handset the keys light up which is also a plus. So, this presenter does what all other presenters do, but here are the two points that make it outstanding: - a really bright laser pointer - and wait for it: a really long range for big lecture theatres, churches, or anywhere with a large group of people and a long distance from the laptop. This is the best presenter I have ever used and from now on it is the only one I will take with me everywhere. If you are in small rooms with small groups, you don't need this, but otherwise this is an essential choice! Well done Mrs Kensington!

***UPDATED REVIEW***I've lowered the score I gave by 1 star as it does get through batteries quite quickly when you use the laser pointer. In fact I'm also tempted to lower the score by 2 as battereies only last a couple of weeks. If you can get used to NOT shining a funky green light on everything that flashes by then it's still great, but if you use the laser it's great until the batteries die and you can't use it anymore.I'm a professional IT trainer, I deliver Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Citrix and other technical training. It's very heavily based on powerpoint presentations with a hefty dose of practical demonstrations. If I don't have a presenter then I'm effectively stuck by the desk and can't really move around the room so it does help to facilitate the atmosphere in the room to be honest...It install you simply plug the USB dongle in, turn on the handset...DONE. I am currently using it on a Windows Server 2016 computer with Powerpoint 2016 and it works excellently, I've also used it with a Windows 10 Laptop again it was perfect. There is a laser pointer on it, it's a green laser which is fine, which again is okay. You can also use it as a mouse...there is a small joystick of a central button which moves the mouse around the screen which can be useful. There is also a button to blank the presentation - this saves a quick trip back to the keyboard to press the "B" button.Overall I'm quite impressed.

This is the version without any actual laser inside. The pack contains the presenter itself, a USB wireless dongle, an 8GB microSD card, a small neoprene case for everything and 2xAAA batteries - so you're ready to go out of the packaging. Once plugged in, the dongle will work right away (and also if you remove the memory card), although you're given the option to install some utilities for programming some of the buttons, pointer styles and speeds etc. When not in use, you can store the USB dongle inside a slot in the presenter itself. The dongle also functions as a USB memory stick when you've got a microSD card installed in it.The presenter is tiny, yet three of the buttons are slightly too far away for my thumb to reach them,so the ergonomics are very slightly wonky. Once you've got it all set up, you can flip through slides in Powerpoint, project a virtual pointer onto the screen, black-out the screen when you're done, or, redefine various buttons to do other things - it's very simple to use. There is a slight viewing-angle issue with the pointer, which responds to whole movements of your hand; if you're not dead-on to the screen, you may need to make some mental adjustments to coordinate your hand movements with the cursor to actually point at things on-screen.In all, it's quite a useful little gadget if you do a lot of presenting, but I'm not sure it's really a hundred quid's worth of kit.

How easy is it to load?. You just plug in the USB stick/dongle and load the software but its quite basic procedure really plus it’s possible to update software from the Kensington web site so in theory it should never be outdated or become obsolete. In use it fits very nicely in the hand, its very lightweight and not at all cumbersome in any respects and much better the ‘el cheapo’ model I brought not so long ago to use with my ‘outdoor’ or events laptop that worked when it felt like it but as they say, 'you only get what you pay for'... The cursor or pointer gives a very nice, bright and ‘solid’ appearance plus it has a zoom feature and it’s as quick as you want it to be.The distance I have used it at - about fifteen metres possibly? - in a social club hall to give a slide show (plus to review this item in action) plus another in a village hall showed no signs of flagging so assume the quoted distance of twenty metres might be about right but for my needs this fits the bill very well. The battery life, considering all its features, is quite good so far - compared with my last one as outlined above. There are quite a few features that I am yet to use in my presentations so will update as and when There may well be cheaper models about but with the features or specifications this has, it’s worth the current price (reviewed October 2018) plus its got the Kensington name on it. 5 Stars

Very comfortable and well made. I like the green laser - much brighter than the red (also Kensington) one I have. I'm not too sure how useful the mouse movement will be - it seemed a bit difficult to control the speed.I read various one review about it causing issues with "refresh" on a web page. This is because the product is aimed at Microsoft Powerpoint. When in "slide design" mode, you can press F5 to jump to the first slide, in presentation mode. In effect, the laser button, sends an F5 command and this is desirable behaviour - if you know about it. However it doesn't <seem to> work all the time for me.Of course F5 is refresh in a lot of other applications - like web browsers - hence theperceived refresh issue. There are actually 2 modes with this device - presentation and mouse pointer. You need to read the manual because the buttons do different things. e.g in pointer mode, the laser button has "no function" - i.e. it doesn't fire the laser. This is possibly a bit daft. One slight minus (because of my experience) is there is now a separate power switch. My old one would automatically turn off when the USB dongle was inserted. No big deal, as long as you remember to turn it on (and off). More accurately I should say my colleagues who are always borrowing my pointer, now need to be trained ;-)All in all, very happy.

This laser pointer goes to every conference with me; no more do I rely on the in-house "clickers" when I give talks. The Kensington Wireless Presenter does everything I need it to.The USB receiver goes into the PC/laptop that you will be presenting from, but the range is very good indeed, meaning that you can wander around the room you are presenting in. As a lecturer, I often give my classes in big lecture theatres, and the laser pointer can communicate with the receiver from the back of the room (quite a distance!). However, I have only really tested the range with "direct line of sight" to the receiver, but I don't foresee why someone won't be in the same room they are presenting in,so this isn't a problem. The left and right arrows on the pointer move the Powerpoint slides backward/forward, with fast response times. The upper button turns on a laser pointer, meaning you can point to aspects on the projected image of the talk you are giving (on a screen, for example). This is very handy. The lower button blanks the display; I use this sometimes when I want to remove an image that I am asking my students to discuss.Colleagues often comment when they borrow this laser pointer from me how superior it is to theirs; I agree. I am yet to find a pointer that I prefer. This is perfect for my needs.

You may already know the Kensington brand name from the computer security lock system that bears it's name, but Kensington itself has actually been part of ACCO Brands – the office products manufacturer - for many years, and it also produces quite a wide range of office and computer related items under it's own name. This Kensington laser presentation pointer is quite an old design, first available in 2006, but it is still very business-like and well up to the job required of it. It comes supplied with batteries – just pop them into the clicker unit and with Windows 10 it's pretty much plug-and-play after that with no software to install. The red laser has a good range so don't point the clicker at your audience or you may damage their eyes – but it makes highlighting the salient points of your presentations nice and easy. This is a well-made and useful device that uses 2.4Ghz wireless technology and works with Microsoft PowerPoint, Apple KeyNote and Google Slides; after use plug the USB receiver into the main device to prevent accidentally draining the battery. Currently around twenty-five pounds from Amazon this laser pointer represents decent value and for it's usefulness and design it gets five stars for quality and features at that price.

This is an excellent little office gadget that no-one should be without. It is idiot-proof. You simply pop the USB dongle into your laptop and the clicker then just works. You can advance and reverse powerpoint slides with the left and right button, blank the screen with the lower button, or activate the laser pointer with the top button. When you’re done with it, simply pop the USB dongle into the housing at the base of the clicker - which also disables the buttons. The design is ergonomic and fits in the hand comfortably. I like that the buttons are in an axis configuration with a central nubbin to help you subconsciously settle your thumb in the right place so you are more likely to pressthe right button. The box packaging is a bit below par if you ask me - which wouldn’t take much to improve, and there is no storage pouch to keep it clean, nor is the dongle also a memory stick - which might have been a handy bonus to keep a presentation on or something. But overall it’s a well-designed and comfortable piece of kit that just works with no fuss. I have used it 5 times in one week so far, so it’s going to get a hammering for sure. For a price of c. £25 (at time of review) I think that’s fair for the good design and build quality.

This presenter comes attractively packaged and has a really sturdy neoprene case and batteries supplied. The batteries are simple to install. There is an on-off switch which is reassuring so the buttons cannot be held and pressed by accident in the case. The buttons are backlit and stay on for as long as it is switched on. The green laser pointer is super-bright and very well focussed to a point. It only works on Powerpoint mode. There is also a switch to put it into mouse mode which has a joystick cursor controller, initially slow becoming faster moving. The dongle is quick to install and the real beauty is in its seamless integration with Powerpoint.Slide advance and review but also a really clever feature is to be able to turn the screen off. If you are presenting powerpoint and you would like to take a break from the slides, the screen off button just blacks the screen which I think is genius and a feature I have not seen before. It has a nice ergonomic feel to it with a good, smooth shape. The dongle stores in the body of the presenter which makes it all really well designed. No downsides really. I have really enjoyed using this presenter. Thoroughly recommended

I brought this when I started working as a trainer and this device has now become the standard in my department. All 8 trainers use the same unit.Pro - the usb receiver dongle is recognised on every PC I have tried it on.Pro - When not in use the dongle locks into the unit itself. So no risk of losing the dongle and it also disables the pointer (no accidental battery usage).Pro - The wireless signal is paired with your unit only. This has foiled my colleagues who are practical jokers and wanted to sabotage my presentation with random page turns.Pro - Simple to use with Powerpoint. Page forward, Page back and pointer.Con - This pointer can do strange things with other programs. So if you are teaching/presenting software get used to putting it down on live demo's. Though this maybe limited to our software.Pro - Battery life. I teach every week and I change the AAA batteries roughly every two months.Overall a great unit which does what you need it to do. I have had this for over two years and it is still going strong. If/When this one dies I will buy it again but I will get the one where the dongle is also flash storage.
