bought for elderly parents. I thought it would be great as they struggle to see the button on the old remote but my dad said he wasn't happy with this easy to use remote because it didn't have a button for teletext! I didn't even know teletext still existed and that people still use it. So this remote was returned and exchanged for another remote that did have a button which accessed teletext. However if you don't need teletext and are looking for a remote for the basic controls, then its good..

I bought this remote control for my Dad as due to on-going memory problems he has had difficulty lately using the remote control that came with his TV. This particular model is easy to handle, has uncomplicated buttons and within 24 hours of using this remote my Dad could use it without any confusion and frustration. The only small downside was that you can't change the batteries on this remote unless you have a screwdriver to open up the back section which is a rather annoying design feature.

I bought this to replace a lost Samsung TV remote for my mum who has dementia. It was simple to set up and she can use it quite well. It has the basic functions on it for a TV and a set top box. My mum takes out the batteries if the tv does not respond but this one has screws so removing the back is more involved than usual. This is a good thing because 99% of the time it is my mum not using remotes correctly. I would recommend this to anyone who needs to simplify the remotes for themselves.

I bought this for my mum who is blind with arthritic hands who was having real problems with the remote control on her new Alba TV/DVD which has loads of buttons, all of which are of a similar size and shape. None of the codes in the booklet worked for the TVi and I nearly took it back for a refund. However, I tried the "learning" mode where it learns functions from the original remote control and after a lot of button pressing it did eventually work and my mum can now use her TV much easier.

Fantastic replacement remote, to simplify life of beloved mother (whose dementia is getting worse each day). Used learning feature to synch up original remote control, which was easy. Only negative is physical design of controller, to easily define top from bottom of controller, so elderly mum can easily distinguish which way to point it at telly! All in all, a great controller, which has been used fairly hassle free for a fortnight by delicate minded mother....highly recommended for price.

It actually works better than the remote it replaced! It's worth pointing out that, due to its simplicity with fewer buttons (which, in itself is a really strong point) , it also means that there doesn't seem to be a way to alter things like colour, contrast etc (unless I am missing something?). Either way, that doesn't really matter to me as that was already set up before my last remote broke. This remote is quite simple to set up and very simple to use. Recommended.

I bought this controller for my elderly parents to control their freesat box and television and it is perfect. I set it up easily enough by following the instructions enclosed. Once it was set up I explained to my parents and off they went. A week later I popped out to see them to check it was working ok and they were managing and needless to say it was worth every penny of the cost. , simple to set up and more importantly simple for my parents to use. 5 star device.

Purchased for an elderly parent with poor eyesight. Simplified design with nice big buttons. Relatively easy to program as long as you read the instructions thoroughly.Worked with an old Samsung TV and is capable of learning from any remote should your TV or other device not be listed.Comes complete with a wrist strap to help prevent it getting lost.Item delivered same day on a Sunday.Can't fault the remote or the delivery service. Perfect!

I chose this simple remote as l only needed to control the volume and standby functions of a piece of hifi equipment. I was impressed with this product as soon as l got it out of the box. It was sturdy, fitted comfortably into my hand, and the buttons were well spaced apart. Battery fitment was easy as wasInputting the code. A good quality item that l can recommend.

Bought this for a disabled old man to replace his sky remote, which he can no longer use and keeps messing his TV up with. It won't reprogram from a standard Sky Q remote, but it does from the Sky Accessibility Remote. A bit of a phaf, but in the end the old man can now figure his TV out and watch it, even if does only watch Only Fools and Horses and the Sweeney!

It works as advertised. I had to try 40 different codes before I got the right one, but I guess that's a one-off exercise. It's very useful and completely replaces all the functions (at least all the functions I used) on my old remote. It is smaller than the old remote, but has bigger buttons because it doesn't have all the useless cruft I never needed! :)

Mum gets confused and just couldn’t get on with all the myriad functions of her smart TV and Sky box. This operates the essential functions of both. It learns from the existing remotes, so it’s no good if you’ve lost one. On the upside, no experimenting with hundreds of codes to get it to work. Just add batteries and follow the simple instructions- you’re away!

Bought to replace a, difficult to obtain and expensive, amplifier remote control for which I only needed power, volume and mute functions. I was able to set these up with the code provided then use the ‘learn’ function to set the other buttons to control a second device (Cambridge Audio music streamer). Very easy to set up and use. Highly recommended.

My 88 year old grandmother needed a simpler remote control for her Panasonic TV. Set this up in no time - it's compatible with so many brands. It only has the main buttons - volume and channel change so it's very easy to use. It came with batteries too! It's much less confusing than her other so it's much easier to use. Would definitely recommend.

Bought this for my elderly neighbour to replace a complicated remote with small buttons.He is very happy with it and no longer gets lost in TV menus and settings.The learning process was straightforward but could not unlearn a couple of buttons despite following the process.A good basic remote for those with limited eyesight or dexterity.
