This works great with my $10 POS shutter release that comes from China. The only thing I have a problem with the shutter release is the cable it came with. This cable snaps into the camera and there is a quick-release to remove it and it works perfectly. Built quality is excellent and should last until I need a new camera. I use it with my Canon 5D2.
