As a Broadcast Vision engineer I can thoroughly recommend this device for setting up and calibrating any monitor. I only use HCFR with my i1 Display Pro as it shows all the information I need. The software will display a CIE colour space and the X-rite looking at a peak white image on your monitor will give you an accurate reading to adjust the white balance. HCFR will also display luminance values for adjusting contrast levels and on a grey scale the black bias of the screen can be calibrated too.To satisfy my conscience I recently unboxed a brand new Sony OLED Grade 1 broadcast monitor and after an initial warm up period I checked the screen as it was fresh from factory.

Having tried calibrating my Laptop's display with an old Spyder 2 and Colormunki Smile systems (with poor results) I hoped that the additional control offered by the i1 Display Pro system would give a better result. I wasn't disappointed. Although the first profile I generated wasn't perfect the i1 Pro software provides a graphical view of the RGB profiles it has generated and I was quickly able to work out what was going wrong. After a few tweaks to the brightness and contrast settings of my display, followed by a repeat calibration with the i1 Pro, my display was successfully calibrated where other devices failed. I'm delighted.

Having just recently purchased the wonderful Dell U2713H monitor, which comes with hardware calibration integration with the i1 Display Pro, it was fundamental I purchased this really.I have been so impressed with how quick and easy it is to calibrate, and has worked on both my new Dell monitor and my PB laptop too no problems.The only issue I had was trying install both the Dell calibration software and i1 Display Pro calibration software on Windows 8. Having both installed at the same time causes problems at the moment, so I had to uninstall one and use only one. But this is really not a problem as you would only use one piece of calibration software after all.

Finally!I'd been using their Gretag Macbeth old eye-one display with almost equally old software. Having recently made the upgrade to Mojave (I'm holding fire on Catalina) no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get a calibrated screen that I believed in. Frustrated, I finally bit the bullet and bought the X-Rite i1 Display Studio. Phew.The results were fast, about 5/6 mins and produced a more than subtle difference not only in the colours but in both contrast and brightness.I'm upset that they stopped supporting the old hardware but am delighted that the replacement works well. Very pleased.

The colorimeter itself is a great piece of kit, however, the included software is awful. Using the i1profiler software I was getting very inconsistent results between two different monitors. Don't bother using it. Download DisplayCAL which is open source and compatible with the device. This gave almost perfect results and colour match between monitors from two different manufacturers. I achieved a DE of under 0.9 on both monitors. I've also used it to calibrate my LG OLED TV using HCFR and a test pattern disc. This gave a DE of under 0.3 across a 20 point IRE calibration.

I have been using this product for several months now and it continues to perform flawlessly. Setup and installation of the calibrator and software was very easy and problem free.Once up and running it is a simple matter to run the calibration routine every month or however often you wish to do so. The changes from factory settings were subtle in my case and photos do seem to 'travel' better across various media, including other people's monitors as a result.An excellent product and very worthy of consideration if you are at all serious about photography.

I've used this on my MachBook Pro Retina and it does what it needs to, colours checked against references look a little better but it's a reasonably well calibrated display to start with. It would be great if this could be used to calibrate a television (Can't see why it couldn't technically, it's just the software you'd need to update).For doing any half-serious photograph or video editing a calibrated screen is important and this will calibrate your screen.

Got this as I had done some photos sent them off and few of the photos came back looking like poor comparisons of what I had on my screen. Used this easy to use altered my screen colour quite a bit waiting on some prints to check it sorted the issues but would certainly recommend. Shame its expensive but hey you get what you pay for

Previously I used a Spyder 3 why I found not to be so easy to be a bit ambiguous in the end result, requiring a bit of subjective tweeking, The Spyder 3 does not work with iMacs type monitors so I bought the X-rite i1 Display Pro. It was very easy to use and produced a very good result in minutes.

Has done a great job of quickly and accurately calibrating my IPS panel desktop monitor and IPS panel laptop. Could not correctly calibrate 10+ yar old Iiyama TFT monitor, but this is most likely due to age, even at max brightness the i1Display was asking me to turn the brightness up further.

I used the above meter to autocal my Plasma TV(50VT30B)with Calman v4 software . It installed on my windows 7 OS without any issues, and the calibration went smoothly. I think its very Robust product, however, I think its a little too pricey !!I will definitely recommend this product !!

The i1 display pro has to be the most popular colorimeter ever released and for good reason. Very fast read times coupled with amongst other things, a sealed housing so in theory drift should be less of an issue over time make it an excellent product from xrite.

Exactly what you want for work at home calibration, now have my monitors all setup for consistent VFX work. Considered the cheaper option, but went for the PRO for the software additions (which although potentially not needed was too close in price to resist)

If you're serious about photography and printed pictures you need to calibrate your screen or your beautiful pictures will be too dark.... (Something I found out only after I'd printed new business cards lol).. quick setup, easy to use and gets the job done.

Excellent product, for me was better than spyder 5 and a nicer overall package. Absolute must so as a photographer we know we have colour accuracy, and know what we are adjusting on screen. Don't work in the dark, get calibrated!
