♦ Introduction ♦Shark are doing a fantastic job designing quality vacuum cleaners and are certainly giving some of the other well renowned manufactures a run for their money. For the last several months I have been using a corded version of this Shark vacuum which is a product I have rated very highly, so was very excited to try the cordless version and I can safely say, this model did not disappoint. What I really like about this model (just like the previous version I have) is its modular design which allows you to use the vacuum in various ways to suit your situation or needs, such as "Upright" (no carry required) or "Lift Away" (carrying the main unit). Whether you go for one way or the other (if not both),the cordless design gives you much more freedom to use.♦ Box Contents & Assembly ♦The box contents are as follows:01) Handle & Hose.02) Wand.03) Vacuum Pod.04) DuoClean Floor Nozzle.05) Crevice Tool.06) Dusting Brush.07) Motorised Pet Tool.08) Wide Upholstery Tool.09) 'Shark' Branded Tote Bag.10) Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Battery.11) Battery Charging Cradle w/ Charging Cord.12) Instruction Manuals. When unboxing, it may seem a little daunting due to how many parts come included, however, you only need to put together parts 1 - 4 for the upright mode, which takes barely a minute to put together as everything easily clicks into place.♦ In-Use ♦I honestly thought this vacuum was going to come with a bulky battery which would make the unit heavy but that really isn't the case, in-fact, the battery is moderately sized and doesn't add that much weight to it which is great! The battery takes about three and a half hours to fully charge and will last for up to 50 minutes, but this really depends on your use:• Upright (Carpet) = 25 minutes.• Upright (Floor) = 29 minutes.• Lift Away (Wand or Nozzle) = 50 minutes.• Boost (Any Mode) = 16 Minutes.Luckily my house isn't very big and I can easily vacuum what is required within the time limits of the battery, however, if you have a large house or want to do a major cleaning session this may become an issue so do double check before purchasing (unless you want to wait several hours before each cleaning attempt), in that case the corded version may be the best option. Note that when in use, the battery has a charge indicator to give you a good idea of how much power is left. When it comes to operating the vacuum, all the buttons are located on the handle which makes everything easily accessible (power, surface select and suction level). My only gripe about the boost button is when using the vacuum on the floor/carpet, it has to be held down to be activated rather than pressing to toggle on/off.In-use, this vacuum glides around seamlessly and not having any wires/cords surprisingly makes it more enjoyable to use. Just like the other model I have, this one has very good suction and does a great job picking up dirt and when it comes to emptying, the contain pops off easily and has a latch to open the dust compartment for it to fall into a bin etc...Another feature I like are the light, just like the previous model I have. Some may think it's a gimmick but I would say otherwise, it's great when in areas not much light gets to such as under the table, it helps you to see if there are any obstructions or items etc...♦ Final Thoughts ♦Shark have done well in the design of this cordless vacuum: It's robustly made, simply to use and does a really decent job with dirt. I like the freedom of movement and multiple ways of using this vacuum and providing you don't require extensive use time, this is definitely an ideal product to own. There is a place for both corded and cordless vacuums on the market, it's just down to your personal needs. If a corded one is more suitable for you, do check out their other corded models such as the 'NZ801UKT which is also a superb piece of kit!

I have owned more than my fair share of vacuum cleaners, including cordless ones like this one and I have always found them very useful. In terms of performance however, I have always found them lacking when compared to their traditional corded cousins. I am pleased to say that the shark closes the gap considerably. The first thing I noticed when I first opened the box was the build quality, which is truly excellent. This machine is a highly polished product that looks and feels premium. Stemming from this is the design quality, which is also very good with particular praise on the easily removable parts such as the battery and filters. It’s also very easy to put together on setup and very easy to use,no manual required.Located on the handle are the power button, floor type selection button and boosts button. This model does not support auto floor type recognition, which is not a deal breaker, but would have been a nice extra option to have. In the box you have a variety of typical accessories for use when using with the hose, including brush, nozzle and two wider attachments for things like the stairs. One of these attachments is a little less typical in that it contains a miniature powered roller with anti hair wrap tech built in. Although this is snazzy, I found the simple wider attachment far more useful for the stairs and other locations. When using in the portable mode, it is very easy to life the main unit off and carry separately, which is a great advantage.Moving onto performance, I am very impressed. As I said earlier, this machine is starting to blur the lines between corded and cordless cleaners and is the first I have used that I would say could potentially replace rather than compliment a corded vacuum cleaner. The suction and pickup abilities across all floor types is excellent, which should see my trusty older corded vacuum cleaner getting a well earned rest most of the time. That being said, a decent full powered corded vacuum will still be tough to beat, especially when using the nozzle and other accessories. Overall though, the performance was exceptional, especially for a cordless cleaner. With the easily removable parts and washable filters, the shark should also be very easy to maintain. The package even comes with a charging dock for the battery, which could be exceptionally useful should I decide to buy an additional battery. Speaking of the battery, it is pretty large for its 2900Mah capacity, but I can forgive that due to its excellent design, which includes easy removal and reinsertion (literally lift it out and then drop it back in) and it’s convenient and clear battery level indicator, which is displayed on top.OK, now I have to point out some negatives. First of all, the battery life is good but not great, especially when using it in upright mode with the rollers running. Like this, you can probably expect about 30 minutes of use. If you use the boost mode, you can expect a little less again which is adequate but could be better. Next is the weight, which is considerable for a cordless machine, so might not be suitable for more elderly buyers when there are lighter options available. Another minor gripe I have is the lack of storage for the accessories on the vacuum itself. This makes it a bit of a pain when I need to use different accessories. Finally, there is no dock for the machine itself (just the battery dock). Not everyone would see this as a disadvantage, but I do find myself forgetting to charge this machine, which is where a dock is useful as a way to keep it charged and tidy.Overall, this is a truly an amazing vacuum cleaner and is almost certainly the best cordless machine to date. This is especially true if you are looking for an all in one cordless replacement for a traditional vacuum cleaner.Highly recommended!

I love this hoover! I didn’t think it was possible to get excited about a hoover, but I haven’t made an excuse to do hoovering before getting this.Battery life is excellent. The manufacturer’s details claim up to 50 minutes when not using the motorised tools. I can believe this - a single full charge was enough for over half an hour’s hoovering including some hard floor, some carpet and some wand work doing cobwebs and high spots. When you use the hoover ‘off’ the brush head it defaults to boost mode, so using the hoover on a variety of surfaces switches between boost and non-boost which will affect battery life, but I spent more time in boost than off and still got over the 30 minute mark.A full charge from completely empty took a couple of hours. The duo brush heads work very well for picking up dust and debris even on hard floors. I had previously been using a Sharp cordless power-headed vacuum which would often push such debris around in front of the head rather than suck it up. The anti-wrap is very effective at keeping the brush bar clear of hair/fibres. I have two dogs and some old rugs which often shed threads and these have not made their way to being wrapped round the brush bar! There is a good selection of additional tools, including a powered furniture head for getting around soft furnishings / curtains etc. My only gripe here would be that there is nowhere on the vacuum itself to clip any of these. As a bare minimum I would like to be able to attach the crevice tool to the body of the vacuum so that it is always on hand as this is the additional tool I always use the most (which I think is probably universal to most people?!)The vacuum can be used in a number of ways; as a standard upright with the battery/motor unit mounted on the from of the handle and for going under low furniture the battery/motor can be removed with an easy click. In addition, the handle can be removed which everything is in situ for short range spot hoovering or can be removed with the longer wand/ handle attachment for high reach work. I particularly like the fact you can then remove everything from the brush bar head and walk around holding the motor unit in one hand and the short/long reach wand in the other; great for going round high areas for cobwebs etc and for going up stairs. If I did have one small criticism in this mode though, it’s that the pipe doesn’t have either a bit more length, or was a bit stretchier. I have moments where it would be quite useful to pop the walk around motor unit on the floor and still reach high; there is not enough tube length to accommodate this without lifting it off the floor.Charging is easy - you can either plug in a charging base for which you can easily remove the battery and pop it on the charger, or you can simply use the power cord from the charging base directly into the hoover.Emptying is also straightforward - a quick and easy pair of clips to remove the whole dust chamber, and a single clip on the bottom when held over the bin for direct emptying. There is a clip on the top half to remove any fine stuff from a filter cone in the top. It’s an expensive hoover, but so far seems very well constructed and usefully thought out.

It’s a lot of money to pay for a vacuum cleaner but it’s certainly a quality product. The cleaner arrived in a robust box and was well packaged. It really is a nice piece of equipment. Our previous vacuum was the Vax blade, which was perfectly good, but the Shark is a real step up.I was pleased to see there was no requirement to fix a wall mount for the device because it’s free standing, and large enough to stand quite firmly without tipping over. The instructions, as you can see from the photos, are quite pictorial and easy to follow even if the pictures are quite small. Two “manuals” are provided – the full instructions as well as a quick start guide (single sheet). The quick start guide was all we needed to get it up and running, so no problem there. We also noticed that everything easily clicked into place and came apart with no problems. Some previous vacuum cleaners have fought against us trying to change the configuration.Ergonomically it’s very good. The handle is comfortable, the whole unit flattens reasonably to reach under furniture and the light system ensures you can always see what you’re doing, no matter which configuration you’re using. There is a boost button to give you that extra zap when you need it but you need to keep it pressed each time. The beauty of the system is the ability to lift off the main collector unit (which is still attached by a hose) to give you better access to height, stairs and under furniture. It really is a well thought out machine. The battery charges in a docking system that you plug into any available socket. Just lift the battery out (looks like a small version of Alexa!) and pop it into the dock to charge (see photo). This is also a bonus if you ever need to replace the battery – it would be very simple. Another good point is that you don’t need to change anything to move from carpet to floor. After care is pretty simple. The dirt tank (or bin) has a good capacity, is easy to empty and a mile away from those vacuum cleaners with the paper bag inside. The filters do need to be washed but that’s pretty standard stuff and it isn’t required every time you use the cleaner. The brush roll is advertised as tangle-free, and it really is. It certainly saves the scissors and scalpel routine I had with the Shark’s predecessor.Overall I like it. I think it’s over-priced, but you get what you pay for and this is real quality. My final point is that the machine has a five year guarantee (two years for the battery) and that’s good.

As a man who lives by himself and owns a big, old fashioned traditional vacuum cleaner, you can imagine that cleaning my floors wasn’t something I particularly enjoyed. So I pretty much stopped doing it and my house became a mess!As a man who lives by himself and owns a big, old fashioned traditional vacuum cleaner, you can imagine that cleaning my floors wasn’t something I particularly enjoyed. So I pretty much stopped doing it and my house became a mess!So I did some research on new vacuum cleaners and liked the look of the Shark range. I took the plunge and ordered a cordless upright model and it is ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! I had it set up in less than 5 minutes without looking at the instructions – it was so simple. It’s so sleek and stylish and even has headlights which are great for dark corners of the room! I never thought I would get excited about doing the vacuuming but I can honestly say I look forward to doing it now! It’s by far the best gadget I own.Not having to worry about plugging it in and tripping over cables makes things easy right from the start. And it’s so lightweight to push around the room and into tight spaces. When fully charged it allows me plenty of time to do the whole house if I need to.It picks up pretty much everything and there is a cool ‘boost’ button for any stubborn bits. It’s very quiet too, unlike my old one. It works just as well on my wooden kitchen floor as it does on my carpets. One of the things I like the most is that it converts into a handheld device which, again, is very simple. I can then carry it around and use the nozzle to do skirting boards, ceilings, the settee and areas of the floor you cannot reach with a conventional cleaner. The stairs used to be an absolute nightmare but is so quick and easy now. I can also carry it out into the street and do my car which I was never able to do properly before.I used to keep my old vacuum in a cupboard but since I’ve had this one it’s been on show in the living room for all my guests to see over Christmas. One of my pals was equally impressed and has bought one for himself!I can honestly say there is nothing I don’t like about it. Please don’t laugh but it has seriously changed my life!! I can't recommend it highly enough.

I have a Kirby and just moved to a house with all hardwoods or tile!As much as I love my heavy, lunky, ancient vacuum, it was to much to change levels all the time to not destroy my rugs (or vaccum). I researched a lot! I wanted the mop/sweeper that’s advertised, but didn’t want to clean it after every use. I looked at the D brand options too. I decided I want cordless and liff away, I want to not dread getting it out, and I want something more powerful than my dustbuster. This thing is my new bff, I guess that means I’m finally growing up (don’t ask my age, it’s in the middle range). This does not have the non tangle roller, but it does have a nice deep groove on the roller and between me,the dog, the cat, and the occasional fosters, there’s a lot of hair here. I do have to cut that off occasionally, the groove makes it nice as with a sharp pair of scissors I can slice it and pull. Gets everything on flat surface including kitty litter. Rugs I have to use the booster and go slow to get the dog hair off, but it does come off. SO EASY to take apart, can lift away and go under things, grab the handle, grab the long connector, grab the canister and either part. It literally drops back on. I actually tried to make it way harder than it was, then i realized, place and drop -click done. I am going through a medical treatment so I don’t have my normal energy or strength. It is heavier than a dustbuster, but totally doable to take the whole thing up or downstairs. Canister is lighter once off, I can sit it on stairs or carry and sweep them. It’s really not bad because the weight is distributed well so it doesn’t throw me off balance. I’m going to Shark to get the attachments, it has them for car, keyboards, motarized hand tool for hair/furniture, dusters, stand chargers, etc. Oh! That reminds me, 3 ways to charge, plug in, battery stand, or battery, so you could get an extra battery if you want to keep going. Timing was accurate, booster takes you to about 30 min, standard 40-50 depending on how much to detach/switch between floor and carpet. Super easy to dump. Shocked how much it picks up!Very happy with purchase.

I got this which I hoped I would be an improvement on my Dyson handheld, which has been decent but has a dying battery. The good news is, it compares pretty favourably.Setup was really straightforward - a few pieces to click together, but a very clear quick start guide was provided for that. I was up and running in a couple of minutes, though battery wasn't really charged, so didn't get much of a run first time I used.Charging was straightforward as well. The cable can be plugged in to vacuum directly, it can be plugged into the battery directly, or the option I use, which is a little charging cradle - the battery lifts up and out of the vacuum itself, and is dropped into this cradle I found this the easiest option,as no messing about the cable. This was one side that was slightly poorer than the Dyson, which has a wall mount that the whole vacuum can just be easily dropped in. However, a fairly minor advantage. The performance of the vacuum is excellent. It sounds quite quiet, but that belies a decent bit of suction. It didn't have any problems with some fairly hefty mud that had come off my shoes, and made short work of everything else.It is structured in 2 parts - the hose/head for you to hold with one hand, then the main vacuum (with dust container) in the other. I found this worked quite well. The Dyson, by comparison, was heavy enough to require 2 hands anyway. This works quite well in making the wand piece quite light to roll around easily. However, the vacuum part is reasonably heavy - wasn't any problem for me, but my wife found it heavy for longer periods, so worth considering that aspect. However, the extra size and weight does bring significant benefits. The extra space in the dust box is really good, holds a very decent amount of rubbish. This, coupled with the bigger battery than a Dyson handheld makes it a lot more feasible to get round a reasonably big house without stopping to recharge/empty.All in all, this is an excellent vacuum. The price point is pretty high, so you would expect decent performance, but this does a really good job and does not disappoint. Highly recommended.

Powerful suction, heavier than a Dyson portable on stairs, but more effective..The take-off carry unit is heavier than using a portable Dyson, but usable as it is more powerful. When used as a floor unit, it feels lighter than the usual mains powered vacuum cleaners, the dual brushes also help propel the unit forwards, but also easy to reverse without trouble. The larger battery can be charged in it’s own caddy, or charged whilst on the machine, or even direct to the battery, which has a charge indicator on it, useful.Simple to empty, the standard style with a drop out bottom to empty over a bin.Filters are water cleanable.Shark advises a second battery would be useful, this model is not on their site yet,but a similar one is £100, so not cheap. You can, in the future, buy spare filters and parts there and that is much appreciated. This unit has a small powered head for stairs and chairs etc, the handle stem can be used with it, or removed to make it more portable.Easy to park away whilst upright, we charge the battery in a dock, it’s simpler. As a full unit, the batter life is stated as 29 minutes, portable is more as there were no brushes to rotate. The brushes are easily removed for cleaning, twist screws are used. This may be daunting for some less able users, but nothing new in vacuum technology. The hair comb is exactly that, there are no blades to cut the hair and it works only on the velour first roller, you will have to do the brush roller as usual, if hair gets to it, might happen when plumed backwards.Noise, higher pitched noise, not unpleasant or painful like some Dyson’s from 5 years ago that were dreadful.Simple buttons for turbo mode(reduced battery times) or brush off fo hard floors. My wife has declared she likes it and she loves vacuuming, so very experienced with various brands and declares that is is A WINNER.

First thing I noted about this vacuum is the ease in assemble, it is so simple to put together and to charge the battery. It’s very light and that makes it super easy to move around the home. The vacuum head moves with ease so gets into hard to reach corners and can fit under furniture due to its compact size. The light feature on the vacuum head is my favourite feature as I was so surprised how much dust/crumbs were on the floor where I thought my old vacuum had been picking this up. It makes the floor (I have grey wood floors) easier to see and thus where needs attention. I love that it’s cordless, it makes it very quick to use and frees me to move around the house without constantly plugging it into different sockets.I have only had it a week so I can’t comment on battery life other than to say I have used it almost everyday for upto 10/15mins a time and haven’t had to charge it yet. I never used to hoover daily as my old hoover was heavy and had to be plugged in, but this vacuum is so easy to quickly pull out and whip around the house, I find myself doing this daily which is making my floors much cleaner! The collection bin is small and compact to fit in with the hoover. I could see that maybe this could become full quickly but again, would be simple to empty due to the easy design of the vacuum. I also really like the buttons to simply change between wooden and carpet floors and the boost button for extra suction. I have cork matting by my front door which previously has blocked my old vacuum, I have had no problems with this vacuum on the mat. I would highly recommend this vacuum, especially to anyone looking for an easy, lightweight vacuum that still has good suction. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

We've wanted a Shark Vacuum for a few years now as we had always heard so many good things about them. Our Christmas arrived early this year when the delivery man arrived with our new Shark! As soon as we opened the box we were immediately impressed with how light and slimline it was. This is a huge plus point for me especially, because I use a wheelchair and need something which is easy to maneuver. After putting it together, which took 3 clicks, we charged it up and after about 3 hours it was ready to go.The on/off button is on the handle which makes it so easy to use, as I can't bend down. The suction is amazing and unlike other brands it doesn't stick to the flooring. For the first time in years I've been able to vacuum and not have to rely on my husband, which has given me a huge amount of independence around the house. The tank is deceivingly small but it fits a good amount of dirt and dust in. It's also fitted with an anti hair wrap, which is a huge bonus when you have long hair yourself and 2 dogs.It has a lift away feature which makes vacuuming stairs and other hard to reach places a doddle. One of the best features for us though, was how quiet it runs. We have actually been able to vacuum while our toddler sleeps. The run-time after a full charge is around 50 mins which is great because it means for us we can vacuum the whole house. It comes with a range of nozzles and a carry bag for them. Now its just deciding which nozzle for which job. My only regret is not getting a shark sooner. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

A great overall vacuum featuring fantastic performance, a lot of features and simple maintenance. The designers of this vacuum deserve credit, it’s a work of art.I have been vigorously testing this vacuum out throughout the week and I have been impressed with how powerful this cleans my floors and carpets. I have tested out the carpet, wooden floor and boost mode and they all did their job well. The machine is simple to put together, there are 3 main parts to click in, once they are clicked into place you are pretty much ready to go, give the battery a long charge for its first use and you are ready to get going. The battery life has been good overall,I get a long enough life to clean my downstairs and upstairs making it perfect for me. If you opt to use the boost mode you will suffer in battery life but this is a handy feature for lifting stubborn dirt. You can simply just lift the vacuum unit off of the base and carry it around with you if you prefer a more mobile cleaning solution. The anti-hair wrap technology built into the main head works well and keeps pet and human hair from entering the main chambers, clogging it up. The hair is then easily removed as you can detach and clean the brush heads with cold water. So how is it to use? - lightweight, maneuverable and simple in my opinion. It has been a great machine for me overall and I would highly recommend this machine. What extras are inside the box?- Curtain cleaning tool.- A pet hair automated tool.- Long crevice tool.- Brush head for stairs.- Battery charging dock + battery.

Have used the vacuum extensively over the Christmas holidays and it has performed to the high standards you would expect from a Shark product. Great features include: - Anti hair wrap - brush jammed indicator - lights on the front to help track down the dust- interchangeable surface function buttons at your fingertips - very potable with Lift-Away - which makes vacuuming the stairs a doddle - decent battery life - good size dust collector for larger households- easy to emptyCouple of negatives (hence not 5 star): - The collector filter and battery are located at the bottom of the stick near the vacuum head and is quite bulky so getting a good distance under furniture is not possible. However this means the weight of the vacuum is closer to the ground so there's less weight on the arms and the vacuum can stand upright when not being held. - The combined weight of the vacuum with collector, filter, battery unit and vacuum head is not the lightest (for carrying up and down stairs) compared to some cordless stick vacuums I have used but it is still far lighter than conventional uprights and canister (pull along) types. - Storage in an upright position is possible depending on your cupboard space but due to the collector/filter/battery unit we had to dismantle across two areas. In summary, a fantastic vacuum cleaner which makes vacuuming far less hassle and with the various design features, dare I say, more fun. Having been an owner of that other leading brand of cordless vacuums for many years I had gradually become less confident in their ability to do a good job consistently. That is why last year I replaced it with the corded version of this duo-clean Shark. All was good but I did miss the freedom of cutting the cord, so when I had the opportunity to try out this corded model I was very pleased to see the difference between this and the corded model as well as the previous leading brand cordless. The build quality and easy set up impressed with everything feeling premium quality and once quickly assembled I was delighted that this felt far more like a 'proper' vacuum rather than a cordless.I love the simple pull out battery for charging it means the whole thing doesn't need to be attached to the mains - super convenient.Be aware that the advertised run time of 50 mins is without the powered head and not on most powerful suction, however in my test I was able to get over 30 mins in top power and the main head attached.Overall I would definitely recommend this over the corded version and that other brand, so far so good. The one problem that occurred with other models where the battery was built in was that over time the battery power reduces and often needs replacing. With this simple pull out battery this would be easy to replace alone and therefore prolong the life and reduce the hassle. Great work shark!

I received my shark a couple of weeks ago and it has honestly revolutionised the way I hoover. Before I had a bulky upright and a separate handheld for all the fiddly bits but now everything I need is wrapped up into one fantastic machine.Firstly I love that it’s cordless, no annoying wires getting in your way or catching on the furniture, and searching for a spare socket is no longer mission impossible. It’s easily changed from upright to lift away in the click of a button, meaning I can do the main carpet, skirtings and stairs all in one go without any hassle. The suction is incredible, so much gets lifted with ease, I was a little shocked to see the barrel after the first use.Between my husband and the kids there is usually an abundance of testing mess on the floors and the shark has had no issue cleaning any of them. I’d prefer if it came with a second battery as I like to use the lift away functions a lot and this uses more battery power but other than that I can’t fault it and have already recommended to lots of friends. This is by far the best hoover that I have ever used to date. When I initially unpacked the hoover it went together with ease and in just moments. When you first turn the hoover on it almost glides forward due to the power and this tug allows the Hoover almost guide itself making extremely light work of what would otherwise be a chore. The hoover transitions from carpet to hard floor so nicely with just a push of a button and I am so grateful for the the anti hair wrap function as cutting hair out of the hoover head is no fun. The hoover most definitely Has the power of a corded upright hoover but benefits from being cordless and being able to lift away and transform it into a handheld easily is so useful for corners, stairs, cars etc and I love that the long body can fit under the sofa and other hard to get to places very easily. The battery life is phenomenal and the handy portable charger is a lovely touch. Shark really have thought of everything with this hoover, right down to a handy bag for all of your accessories.
