I have been using this shampoo on and off for a few years and only noticed when I stopped using the increase in hair loss while washing my hair and combing afterwards. I have hair loss due to the menopause and use this along with Teeaza hair oil, marine collagen supplements and biotin tablets. All 4 have helped and also made my hair grow very quickly and even my eye lashes have gotten longer, which is from the biotin, but using all 4 products is helping with my hair loss internally as well as externally. I do not take the supplements together and using the Teeaza oil I leave on overnight. I also apply the Plantur shampoo first thing when I shower, then wash my body, shave etc to allow the shampoo to work for at least 5 mins. I use a hair wrap to absorb the water. I use a wide tooth comb through my damp hair being very gentle combing very small sections of my hair at a time while holding the top of my hair while combing the ends to prevent hair pulling. I also sleep with a silk hair wrap which helps prevent hair loss. I understand it may seem like a lot of hard work and expensive, but it honestly isn't. I gave up using conditioner as it weighed my hair down making it look lank and was making my hair soft, which I know it's what it's mean to do, but at the same time I was losing more hair by carrying out the conditioning process. The Teeaza oil also acts as a hair treatment so if you have fizzy hair or want a conditioning affect, the oil will work as one as well as a hair thickening treatment.

I'm 45 so "that age" but also on antidepressants which I notice make hair fall worse, so something to be depressed about, so was keen to try anything. I already take a supplement which contains Biotin (good for hair) so tried this. At first wash I noticed less hair fall in the shower, and it smells nice and you don't need to use much. Like other reviewers, I do note that I makes your hair knotty, which means combing through is hairloss-risk but is still less than normal. After using it once, I was at the hairdresser who washed my hair again and I lost NO hair and he commented how good condition my hair is,which nearly made me cry as I felt I was losing LOADS of hair.I use a cheap conditioner on the ends (I have long blonde hair - now just below shoulder length as had a lot cut off, which probably helps with condition and fewer hair falls) and it seems to be helping. I think also the action of massaging the scalp when washing is helping too. This does make me and my hair very static, though... which is a bit of a problem! I was told parabens and sulphides (sulphates?) are bad for hair but this shampoo has both, but I'm going to continue using it as I think it really does help. It smells nice. I am not washing my hair every day. Happy with this product and would recommend it, but massaging the scalp during the 2 minutes you leave it on is probably just as helpful for increasing circulation to the hair roots/follicles.

About 4 years ago my hair started breaking, so wouldn't get beyond my shoulders, as it would be in bad condition and just split off. I tried everything, hair supplements, different shampoos, nothing made a difference so I just had the damage trimmed off regularly and kept it the length in pic 1.I heard about this shampoo and decided to try it, at the time the conditioner was sold out (March 2020 when nothing was available!), so I shampoo every day and use Aussie 3 Miracle oil on my damp hair after as a conditioner. Then I don't brush it, I just leave it to air dry tangled and it untangles itself as it dries and doesn't need to be brushed, I have super silky soft, tangle free hair without any brushing, just these two products. This combination of products has made my hair grown so long since March! See photos for March-September growth! Barely any split ends either.I'm trying to get it long for my wedding next year and I now have hope it will actually happen, this is the longest my hair has been in years! I'm only 32, so isn't menopause related, I don't know why my hair went brittle. But this shampoo combined with aussie 3 miracle oil is my wonder cure. Will never use another shampoo again! X

I don't know how this will go long term. I have only used it a couple of times, as my hair is thinning (I am 66 female),I noticed a minute amount of hair loss on towel after I have carefully rubbed it over my hair to get that worst of the water out. It states that usage should begin in early - mid fifties, but I don't think this was around 10 years ago? Anyway, I am fortunate not to suffer from some of the examples of hair loss people have posted, but don't want to reach that stage if possible. My hair is definitely thinner now, and after using Plantur 39 I found it DID not tangle my hair (I do have short hair though), and it did leave it feeling in good condition. I don't know about thicker, but definitely in good order. I will finish the bottle, and am glad I got it now, I was going to cancel the order. I don't know if conditioner is necessary, I certainly wouldn't need to use it, BUT although my hair is thinner, it is not necessarily overly brittle, and not dry. A little goes a long way, and lathers up well.

I've just bought this & only used it twice so can't yet say whether I think it does what it claims to do - however, I wanted to let people know some things other reviewers haven't mentioned & that I had wondered about before I made my purchases.1) The active ingredient is in Plantur 39 Shampoo & Tonic ONLY - so if you don't want the conditioner, there is no need to buy it.2) You must apply the active ingredient to your scalp every day for best results - so if you don't want to shampoo every day, then you use the tonic in between shampoos. If you shampoo every day you won't need the Tonic (although maybe it would help? Double whammy!)3) The Shampoo and Tonic have an unusual smell (not unpleasant). The only way I can describe it is to say it smells 'green' (not in a flowery way), so is OK for males & females. So, fingers crossed these products do what they claim to & I will update this review when I've been using them for a few months!

I know some ppl love shampoos that smell great but for me I can't really comment on the scent as the lack of scent suits me better than an overpowering one. Less effort put into how it smells means more time to concentrate on getting the ingredients right, right? This shampoo is great. I'm on my second bottle and using it every second day and the tonic every other day. Hair loss is definitely noticeable and areas where I had given up on have started to show new growth. Will it give me a head of new strands and make my hair thicker? No. But it definitely is giving me confidence when I style my hair and I see less scalp thanks to new growth. Let's be real... My hair is fine and will remain fine unless I get a transplant.Don't expect miracles from a bottle. I recommend this shampoo. A little goes a long way and be patient waiting for results. Be kinder to your hair.

Im 35 and losing my hair due to numerous meds and stress factors of life, I have been using this shampoo for about a month now. I have fine thin hair and more often than not its disheartening when I find it everywhere. When I washed my hair in other shampoos it comes out in clumps. My hair immediately responded to this shampoo, okay the scent smells a bit like a clean dentists smell but that's the only negative about it. I have been seeing less and less hair after washing, on my brush and on my floors. My hair appears to be in very good condition now and its even behaving for a change. Does it cure baldness ? Probably not but I have noticed new hairs in places I have had problems with mostly my hair line.Other than the smell this is a great product, just leave it on for 2 mins in the shower each time u use it.. works a treat. I can recommend this shampoo.

I had breast cancer and chemotherapy last year and as you might expect, lost all my hair and was keen to get it back as soon as possible after treatment. I tried 'Fast' hair products first but was very disappointed. Then my Scientific boyfriend pointed out the obvious: Basically, now that I am required to take Oestrogen suppressant dugs, my hair growth will be much more limited in future. This Plantur shampoo addresses that issue perfectly therefore because it is loaded with phyto- oestrogens which when applied topically mimic the missing hormone and activates the roots. Early signs are very promising. After just 4 uses my hair looks and feels lustrous, thicker and softer. Can't wait to see what changes the next few weeks of use will bring. Expensive but a little goes a long long way, so worth it. Highly recommended

I am 25 and been using this for 2 years now on an every 3 day basis. I got PCOS and my hair started falling out and thinning so I bought this to help. It really stopped my hair from falling out so much and did wonders for my confidence when going through such a crappy hormonal time. It has even allowed my hair to grow down to my waist (which my hair has never done before- it's always died a death once at my chest and I'd have to get it cut into a bob again). My PCOS is now resolved but I will continue to use this shampoo and conditioner as it really seems to help the growth of my hair. The actual product itself smells fresh and herbal and lathers nicely.I always leave both shampoo and conditioner on for 2 mins each before rinsing. It may not work for everyone but you might as well try it.

Excellent shampoo used this brand many times with no issues it helps reduce hair drop and you can tell when you have used it for a few months the hair is falling out is less and less and my hair thickness has improved can make your hair feel a bit dry so use the conditioner as well or use a normal one I have found that I use the brown one now as it covers my gray hairs perfectly and same results as this one it's just I no longer have to dye my hair which caused my hair to fall out more. The plantur 39 brown shampoo is best for me as it colours my hair and treats the thinning which after 12 months has eased and my hair is growing I have baby hairs at the front again it really does work.

I am nearly 56 and found my hair thinning badly over my ears. My hair was also dull and lifeless and wouldnt style with my hot brush. I decided to give this shampoo a go 3 days ago and I cant beleive the results!! My hair is shiny, thicker and curls easily when styled, I use my regular conditioner with it, the most amazing thing is even though I havent washed it again since the first time, when I get up in the morning it seems to have got a little bit thicker overnight! I dont usually write reviews but wanted to pass on my experience to other ladies who may have had the same problem as me, definitely try this shampoo, it really works.

I was a little skeptical but my hair has always been very fine and prone to breaking so after a sharp intake at the price I gave it a go.. I have been using this shampoo since November and the difference is quite marked. Went for a haircut in February and the hair dresser could tell when I had started using it from the increased thickness. Constant use and teaming with a good conditioner and a leave in Argon Oil and my hair is better than it has ever been. The price is a little high, but a little goes a long way. I leave in for a minimum 3 minutes but do try to leave in for 10 minutes a couple of times a week.

I have always had fine hair, but as I have got older it seems to have got finer. I have been having Mono fibre hair extensions for 4 years to add body and length. I decided to try this shampoo but have waited to review as these things take time. I use every other day and have been using for about 12 weeks now, I suspected I was getting new hair growth as I seem to have short hairs everywhere anyway me hairdresser confirmed it. She said I have new hair growth all over so will continue to use. Really pleased with results but think you need to use for decent enough time to see real results .

I’ve had to wash my hair every day of my life I have fine curly hair so it’s naturally brittle so looks dry and snaps all the time. As well as hand falls of hair came out each time I wash it. From day one I noticed a difference for the first time in my life and I am 50 plus now I don’t have to wash my hair daily. As well as my hair falls in soft ringlets now not dry scraggy rats tails .....After using for about one year my hair is now thicker and is past my shoulders...with all products that contain chemicals that are used on the skin you should do a patch test behind the ear....

My hair has always been my crowning glory --voluminous, shiny, soft-- until menopause hit, then it became dry, dull and brittle. I was recommended Plantur 39 and gave it a try; now it's my shampoo of choice. My hair has become full and soft again, and the shine is coming back. Plantur 39 also has a lovely, light fragrance. As well, I normally have oily hair, having to wash my hair every second day. But, I've noticed that I can push it to every 3-4 days, now-- my hair still smelling lovely.I'm really happy with this shampoo, and I'm especially happy to have my mane back!
