Quite impressed with these two. I wanted to do a big fluffy but straight hair for a wedding today and this arrived just in time. I used the shampoo as per usual for me (I give shampoo a few minutes in my hair just to settle into the roots and shift any debris or dirt, the. I rinsed out with cold water. I put on the conditioner and left it on for half an hour while I was in the bath (also something I do) and rinsed it out with warm water (conditioner always rinses better with warm water, or it can leave the hair a bit greasy). After blow drying my hair, I was taken aback by just how incredibly fluffy my hair has gone. My hair is thick anyway and prone to fluffiness in general but it’s usually quite flat at the roots from the weight of the hair, but this time my hair was quite full and voluminous at the roots for a change. After a bit of straightening, it killed a lot of the fluff but I still managed to keep the volume with a bit of well placed hairspray and serum (I didn’t need to tease it though thankfully). My hair looks so full and luscious and it does smell very nice too, and I must say it feels a tiny bit softer than when I use the usual tresemme I generally go for.Be mindful though, if you have very thin or fine hair, this might not work the same way it did for me. I’m cursed with big hair anyway (just not at the roots), it might take additional work and products to get the kind of volume you’re hoping to achieve.I’ll note this came to me in an jiffy envelope and a bottle had clearly leaked a tiny bit as the inside of the plastic film around the two bottles had splashes inside (shampoo) but it wasn’t as bad as it could have been. I liked that it didn’t arrive in a massive cardboard box which means dismantling and taking up space in recycling.

This is a review of the twin pack of John Frieda Luxurious Volume Touchably Full Shampoo and Conditioner. You get two tall cylindrical half-litre plastic bottles, and each has a push dispenser. The pair of bottles are supplied wrapped in a sturdy transparent plastic wrapper that goes straight into the recycling.I was all set to criticise the push dispenser on top of these bottles because they'll surely go straight in the bin when you finish the bottle, but when I started to use them I realised their value - they always dispense one sensibly sized unit of shampoo or conditioner. With all the other shampoos I use much is wasted because I dispense too much and it goes straight down the drain, especially when the bottle is new and you're figuring out how much to squirt into your hand. The shampoo is intended for fine hair and the bottle says it adds natural-looking volume. To some degree this might be achieved by leaving something behind on your hair when you've finished washing it away. Despite persistent scrubbing it feels like I can't wash it completely out.The smell is the best bit - there's something about having your hair washed at the barbers, maybe it's that they use a different shampoo to your normal brand, but this John Frieda shampoo and conditioner smell just like I'm used to at the barbers. This duo pack costs a lot, but because of the push button dispenser it lasts a long time, as long as you don't press the button more than once. It smells really nice, although I have no idea what it actually smells of.

John Frieda Luxurious Volume 7 day In-Shower treatment is a semi-permanent treatment to be used after every two to three washes. The treatment is packaged inside a pump dispenser bottle which is idea for the shower and simple to use;*Wash and condition as normal, preferably with the Luxurious Volume shampoo and conditioner.*Three to four pumps on the dispenser will provide enough in-shower treatment for most hair types.*Simply rub the treatment through your hair, concentrating on the roots and then smoothing into the ends..*Leave for between 4-5 minutes then rinse.*Style as normal.I've been using this range of products for over a month on my super fine, short hair. I've had good results.I'm not going to deceive you and say I'm sitting here with a head full of thick, luscious hair because I'm not but; there's a definite improvement in the overall fullness and texture of my hair which is nowhere near as flyaway as it was.The idea behind this range is that you use as many of the products as possible because they build up a 'volumising polymer' in your hair. The more you use them the better, and longer lasting, the effect. One use of one product isn't going to make much difference at all. Won't harm your hair but won't boost it. I'm using quite a few products in the range; shampoo, conditioner, in-shower treatment, Blow-Out Spray and all-day hold hairspray to get the results but it's working for me and I'm happy.Good treatment. Great for very fine, flyaway hair.

John Frieda Duo Pack Luxurious Volume Touchably Full Shampoo and Conditioner, 2 x 500 ml is a lovely to use hair shampoo and conditioner with the added bonus it did not weigh my fine hair down which resulted in my hair looking much fuller and lighter at the roots giving the impression of added volume which helped my hair look and feel so much better. It works better I have discovered if used with the other products in the same range which I would also recommend. I like to use this shampoo and conditioner when my hair is looking flat and rather dull which I have to be honest seems to be everyday lately.I liked the feel and texture of this shampoo added to the fact a little goes a long way makes it a shampoo which lathers easily and creates a nice rich sud,I liked the fact my hair felt squeaky clean and brimming with health.I also like to use the John Frieda Sheer Blonde Go Blonder hair conditioner as it is an excellent hair shampoo and conditioner for giving your hair much-needed conditioning substance plus it has hidden advantages of bringing not only conditioner to your hair, but it also lightens your hair. I only noticed slight lightness but where I noticed the blonde effect was my highlights which were getting dull seemed to look more vibrant and for that reason alone I am happy to recommend it.I bought another bottle of it plus the shampoo

I'm a bit of a product junkie, seriously, I may have a problem. I've tried out lots of hair care products over the years, I subscribe to beauty boxes, so many of them have been high end as well. My hair is about as fine and straight as you can get, gets greasy very quickly and needs a huge amount of styling to avoid it just hanging there.I thought this shampoo smelled nice and the smell does linger in your hair, so that's a good thing really. It foamed up really well, you really only need a very small amount, which means this is great value for money. After washing there was no residue left on my hair and it feels clean, I also noticed that the ends don't feel as dry as usual and I didn't use a conditioner.Hair was easily combed through after washing.I didn't use any other products on my hair afterwards and left to dry naturally rather than drying volume into it to judge the shampoo purely on its own merits. I do think I noticed a difference straight away, it does look thicker and feels very soft. I think that I'll buy a few other products from this range and use as part of my daily routine. It does make a difference and I think it's also a good foundation to build a style upon.

SMELL=====I've had this range before and could smell it before opening. A slight scent but not a powerful scent.CONDITIONER===========That said, a conditioner's job is to condition not have a powerful smell. This was perfect. Especially after using the matching shampoo.Although the bottle is pretty and solid, it's sleek and there's loads too. 500mls.MAGIC======However, I don't have particularly fussy hair, but I can say this is ONE OF THE BETTER conditioners I've used.HAIR TYPE=======Some will shy away from a conditioner if they have oily hair. It's a misconception that a conditioner adds oil to hair.I find if you pre shampoo (not necessary if you have dry/normal),shampoo and condition the results are better than simply shampooing. Much better results. This is for all hair types. I've tried it on all types. (we're a family of all types) It good on all hair types. If pushed I say better with normal and dry.It can add a little volume so it's good if you have thin or flyaway hair.OVERALL========I like it, I'm no expert, but I was a hairdresser many many years ago.One to put on your shortlist if you're after a good quality conditioner.

Another product which I obtained for “her indoors” to evaluate. Here are her comments :-I have very flat, fine mid length hair and have always found it hard to get Volume into it, no matter which volumizing shampoos etc I used, so I gave up using them. So, when this appeared on the Vine, I thought I would give it a go, with nothing to lose.I received 2 X 500 ml bottles, one of Shampoo and the other Conditioner in a lovely blue colour. The pump tops were easy to open, but I got the shampoo over me, as the top was a little loose, but cleaned it up and tightened it up.The smell is divine and you only need a small amount, I used 2 pumps and this was too much, but it lathered up well and was left on whilst I showered.I rinsed it off and was amazed at how smooth my hair was. I then used the Conditioner and left it on for 3 minutes and then washed that off.As is usual, for me I leave my hair to dry naturally, and found that there was a lot more volume in my hair, once it was dry and the shine is fantastic.Well done to John Frieda and I would give a 5 out of 5 rating for these products.

I have found the Holy Grail! I am so glad. After literally years of trying products to boost my fine, slightly wavy hair I have finally found the one thing which seems to work. All the gels, mousses, creams, waxes, lotions and sprays etc have failed to provide enough body. They either are too heavy and flatten the hair, too greasy or too drying.I have an aversion to hair lying flat against my head as my hair is short. I have a very good cut but there is only so much that a cut can do to help the illusion of thicker hair. I like just a bit of volume on the top. This is the only product that achieves that. As long as you don't use too much it won't overdry the hair and the effect lasts a couple of days.Be careful of blasting too fast with the hairdryer as this will add to dryness and ruin the effect.I love this product and won't use anything else again - and trust me I have tried pretty much everything out there. Now I can save myself a fortune in wasted products.Thank you John Freida.

A great product but DON'T buy it until you try out "John Frieda's Luxurious Volume Seven Day Volume Treatment" first. You spritz it onto your damp roots and blow dry and it works, it gave my hair at the roots a boost and here is the BUT bit. There is a lot of other products now available which offer a similar effect and this isn't really any different to them plus I could feel a build up of product on my roots so in the end it was ok but just that. However, if you want a product that not only works equally as well but zero effort then try the John Frieda's Luxurious Volume Seven Day Volume Treatment".It's from the same range and you simply work it into wet roots while you're showering then leave it in for I think about 4 mins and then simply rinse out and it does exactly the same as this product but without the need to blow dry and doesn't leave a residue on your hair, or at least in my case it didn't.So again absolutely nothing wrong with this product but try this one as well..

I really like this shampoo and conditioner set. The bottles are big and come with pump dispensers which are very handy and saves me from fiddling about with bottle caps. The shampoo lathers really well into a dense foam and it easily covers the hair. Both the shampoo and conditioner apply well and rinse away easily. The shampoo and conditioner both smell absolutely gorgeous, and they make my hair so soft and shiny. My hair does seem more bouncy with more volume, but the most noticeable thing to me is the softness.I had a difficult job unscrewing the pump as the shampoo had leaked in the packaging and it was impossible to open the bottle in the shower without unscrewing the whole top. Also, one thing I would change is to make the bottles sufficiently different enough that I can differentiate between them without holding the bottle up to see the words on the bottle - perhaps make the words 'shampoo' and 'conditioner' a bit easier to see?

I've always been lucky enough to have great shine to my baby fine silver grey hair, but due to medication and age it's become thinner over the years and more difficult to get the volume, even my hero Philip Kingsley products weren't doing their magic, so having read the reviews I took the plunge and bought the 7 day volume treatment and the volumising mousse. OMG what a difference, my hair looked thicker after blow drying and even after a few days kept its style instead of going limp and flat. I used my normal shampoo, didn't use conditioner as it always weighs my hair down but after shampooing and rinsing I used 3 pumps of the treatment on my short hair, left it for about 2 minutes then rinsed again, towel dried , added the mousse and blow dried to finish. I'm so pleased with the results and would definitely recommend anyone with similar problems to give it a try.

I got the Thickening Mousse in my Birchbox and OMG this stuff WORKS! So OK this isn't the thickening mousse but since that was so good and since my flat ageing hair needs as much boost as I can get I decided to splash out and buy not only this but the conditioner.I got the 500ml bottles of both and you need so little they're easily going to last me 5-6months as you only need about 2-3 pumps of the product so although initially they may seem pricey they're not.The shampoo really does seem to leave you hair clean and grease free and this seems to last for much longer than my old shampoo. Even in this very hot season it still remains pretty ungreasy.I use this shampoo with the conditioner and the volume mousse from the same range and all I know is that my hair has never looked so unflat(sic)with no effort at all and more importantly no damaging heat.

I’ve been using this duo pack for about a month now, and it’s really good for adding some extra life and bounce to my fine, dull hair.My hair hasn’t been very full since after my son was born, a lot of the extra body that develops during pregnancy is lost after the baby is born as hormones start to return to ormal levels, so I hoped to be able to give my hair a boost to try to recreate that effect of thicker, more healthy hair.I use it every second day, and use both the shampoo and conditioner each time, and it has been making my hair feel better with extra body and shine. It’s not going to be a miracle improvement, but it does seem to help a bit.The only thing I also do,is once a week I use a clarifying shampoo which cleanses the hair of all the build-up. This is a good way to make sure the hair doesn’t get caked with product over time.4 stars

This stuff works! Because my hair is getting drier and more brittle as I get older I am just trying to limit my use of styling tools but without any help my hair lies flat to my scalp and just looks sad but this stuff, again, actually works. After washing my hair I usually just put conditioner on the ends and work this product into my roots and then after about 4 minutes rinse it all off and as my hair dries you can see the base of your hair has some volume and lift to it. To me this is just as good as using a styling tool and the effect lasts for a few days. So heat, no fuss etcI would also say don't bother with the shampoo or conditioner as I have tried them and for me personally they didn't do much. There are other products in this "volume" range and I should try the mousse next but if you're going to just buy the one then make it this one.

John Frieda products often don't get on well with my hair, but this duo seems to be doing the trick for me right now as my hair is really nice right now after using this shampoo and conditioner tag-team. John Frieda Duo Pack Luxurious Volume Touchably Full Shampoo and Conditioner don't really give my hair volume (nothing does) but the big plus for me is that these products haven't weighed down my hair: they were easy to use with good texture and easy to rinse, afterwards my hair felt softer and cleaner than it has for a while as there was no residue. Although not heavy the texture is still good, the shampoo has a really rich foam and the conditioner isn't thick but nor i it thin or synthetic feeling.Price-wise currently the 250ml bottles sell for around £5.99 in the shops,so this duo at £18.99 is a saving.
