As someone who likes to stalk reviews before buying a product to decipher between the legit ones and the promoted ones, please read on if you, like me, want to read an honest review. So for context I have blonde hair. I used this following the instructions on the can, spraying 30cm away etc. Although the one thing that I didn’t do having only found out this was necessary afterwards was to leave the shampoo to settle for a minute before rubbing it in. Anyway I was on day 2 hair and day 3 hair is usually when it starts to look greasy. Since lockdown I have been washing my hair twice a week seen as I’ve not been going out however I’m trying to keep this going with the help of dry shampoo as I start to go out more.So I applied the dry shampoo before I went to bed on day 2, so that I could wake up on day 3 with non-greasy hair. It definitely worked, my hair looked as fresh as it does when washed, possibly a tad less shiny due to the shampoo being powder but the important thing was that the grey-ness / powdered look that was there before I went to bed had gone by the time I got up. So if you are going to use this then I would definitely recommend using it the night before so that any visible residue comes out over night. I’ve seen some people comment what’s the point in using it if you are applying it the night before, as you may as well just wash your hair? But for anyone who like me is trying to cut down on hair often they wash their hair to boost its condition then there’s a lot of point in it. Since washing my hair less it now takes longer to get greasy between washes which is a bonus.Overall this is an effortless product to use that gives greasy hair a clean look.Tips:• Use this the night before so that your hair doesn’t look grey / powdery. I have tried this and it works.• Spray 30cm away. You don’t need much either, a one second blast puts plenty on the section that you’re doing• Leave the shampoo to take effect for one minute before rubbing in and combing in (though combing isn’t necessary)

My hair is naturally quite greasy, but I don’t like to shampoo it every day, so on the days inbetween, I use dry shampoo. When I first heard about dry shampoo, I thought it was a fantastic idea, clean hair without the hassle of washing it all the time! Admittedly, dry shampoo probably the wrong way to describe this product – hair refresher would be more descriptive of what it does. Dry shampoo can also add volume and texture, and it is quite often recommended for use on fine, flyaway hair to add volume and texture. As I have thick hair, I've never done this. The Batiste blush is described as a flirty and floral scent, and it does have a slightly floral scent. It isn't particularly strong though, and I can't say I notice any hints of the fragrance throughout the day.To use the shampoo is simple – you just shake the can and spray it onto the areas you want refreshed (I just apply it to my roots around my parting), leave it for a few seconds then comb through and style as normal.Dry shampoo in general isn't as good as washing your hair, but it does seem to leave my hair looking and feeling less greasy, and it also boosts my colour slightly. Dry shampoo is also suitable to use if you have extensions or a weave to perk hair up in between washes.I do recommend this product, as it does what it says on the tin for me, but it doesn't replace washing your hair, but if you're in a rush or just wan a boost, it's perfect, and it's not expensive either.

The smell is too strong. Can smell it from a distance away. Not at all subtle. And worst of all it did not keep greasy hair away either. But if you just wanted to scent hair without treating the greasiness, this would be fine as the smell is so strong and lasts ages and ages until you wash your hair. But do not spray too much or the smell is overwhelming.EDIT: Over time, I think I've learnt how to use this product. I was determined to not shampoo daily as it was making my hair really dry and I liked having the freedom not to have to wash my long hair so often, which could be very time-consuming.I recommend only spraying when hair starts feeling lanky, but not waiting to the point of your hair feeling greasy.Always leave a distance of at least 6 inches before spraying, and part hair and only spray at areas where scalp is exposed. If hair turns white then that's a sign you oversprayed. If that happens, simply rub powder into hair roots surrounding the part of the scalp you've sprayed. That and brushing out or leaving it to settle in a couple of hours should make the white powder disappear. If you're desperate, then try wet the white powder with water.I have tried 2 smells from the range - Cherry and Cool Refreshing. The Cherry one I found really makes me gag. The Cool Refreshing one is the better one as the smell is more pleasant to me, although I do feel it is quite a strong smell and even more noticeable than the Cherry.

I usually use Batiste as I've found it to be the only dry shampoo that really does what you need it to. This was at a cheaper price point than usual in stores, and if you use it often, it's well worth buying the large can. This one has a neutral clean scent. I recommend it if that's what you prefer, but I am also a fan of the Tropical version and the Rose Gold version too. If you have very dark hair, you might want to consider the coloured version for brunettes. If you're new to dry shampoo, you need to know that it doesn't work at its best when you spray it on in the morning. If you're like me, with fine hair which can be mildly greasy the day after washing (and you really hate it),the best thing to do it spray it through your roots thoroughly before you go to bed. Make sure you spray to the roots that are especially visible. Spray from 15 centimetres away. Gently massage your roots, moving the dry shampoo around and brush. When you sleep, it will do its job of absorbing any oil, so that you should have pretty good second-day hair! If you like, spray a little more in the morning, but you shouldn't need to. As a bonus, it should give your hair a little volume.I find this product also works well after you've just styled your hair. For example, if it's a warm day, you're going to the gym, or at a long event. A little bit at the roots should help keep your hair looking fresh.Product was dispatched quickly and well packaged.

Let's put it this way: I will never allow myself to be without this dry shampoo for as long as Batiste continues making it.My hair gets greasy and bland REALLY quickly. Like, I will wash my hair the night before, and will need to wash it the following evening otherwise I get annoyed with it and don't feel my best. Normal (low to high range) shampoo/conditioner is also hit and miss for me, I will obviously use it when I wash my hair, but the results always vary.I have been ill for the past 5 days, and always follow's my mother's advice to never wash my hair while I have a cold unless absolutely necessary. Well, no problem. After a shower (while keeping my hair dry in a bun) I spray my hair with this dry shampoo, let it sit for a few minutes, then I will brush it out.Hey presto. My hair looks, feels and smells fresh and clean, AND it has beautiful volume. I will even use it after I've washed my hair with normal shampoo/conditioner (after I've dried it, of course), and I'm amazed at the results. I never have a bad hair day now because my hair just DOES what I want it to do. It behaves.I carry a smaller version of this dry shampoo in my bag, and spray my hair whenever I feel like it needs "freshening up".Don't waste your money on more expensive dry shampoos just because you want the scent. If you really want that added bonus, just use a spritz of your favourite perfume or buy the scented version of this dry shampoo!

I don't tend to use Batiste dry shampoo for greasy hair as I wash my hair everyday to every other day so it never really gets a chance to get greasy but I do use it when I use too much oil sprays in my hair and it works brilliant for that.I also use it for adding boost and volume to my hair when it is looking flat and lifeless. The Batiste Original is probably one of the best as it just has a nice clean fresh scent with no added fanciness to take anything away from it, it's just good old fashioned dry shampoo. It comes in an aerosol type can that gives a good blast when sprayed so it is best directed at the hair from a slight distance, I hold the can about 30cm away and just spray into the roots,I let it rest for a few seconds and then rub it through with my fingers before brushing through and styling how I want it.If I have used to much oil spray or even Argan oil after curling or straightening, and my hair is looking a little lank and greasy I will give it a quick blast with Batiste and run my fingers through, this soaks up some of the oil, and whilst my hair still shines it stops it looking greasy. It also adds a nice bit of volume. It's great when you want to do an updo on fine hair too as this adds volume and makes it easier to pin up and style. This is one I would highly recommend.

After a serous accident I became bed bound in hospital for months and was unable to wash my hair often family brought me in dry shampoos which seemed to make it look a little fresher after leaving hospital I'm now wheelchair bound and get to wash my hair weekly so in between a dry shampoo is a must have but finding the perfect one has been a challenge I think I have tried every dry shampoo going some were better than others but I had never tried this brand but I brought it a while ago and could not believe how good this brand is this cherry one is my favourite but all the others are good the smell is lush and it really freshens your hair without leaving horrible white tackey stuff other do Ijust give it a little spray all over it will go a little white looking but that helps to see your covering the areas you want freshened then I just give it a little rub through with my fingers and then a good brush though and my hair smells and feels clean and fresh it's the best one ever and I would never use any other brand than this brand and this is an expert on dry shampoos talking with the amount I've used lol ? With the heatwaves we've had so far in Summer 2019 it's been a pain to try and keep my hair looking healthy but more importantly hygienic with considerations to everyone around me. No one wants to be that guy but equally over-washing your hair can lead to more problems than it actually solves.I'd heard about dry shampoo over the years but as I'm not exactly someone that regularly visits cosmetics / health shops I never bothered to look much further. If you're a guy looking in to this with even slightly any length of hair - get some right now, it's honestly magical stuff.Depending on the length of your hair you may have to layer it in at the roots a bit, but effectively spray it around your roots, rub and massage it in bit by bit and you feel good to go again with a pleasant but mild fragrance. This stuff has been absolutely routine changing meaning I don't have to immediately wash my hair (unless it actually calls for it) and has allowed for it to get some of its strength back! This is now on my list of "must keep stocked" as it's that valuable!

I've been using Batiste dry shampoo for several years. I used to use Lee Stafford but it is almost twice as expensive and my sister suggested I try this brand. I have never looked back. Most of the fragrances are pleasant, my favourite used to be the tropical scent but since this new cherry fragrance has come out this is the one that I like best. I use a little bit in the morning before I go to work to refresh my hair at the roots as it can get a little greasy. As long as it is used sparingly it does not dull your hair or make your scalp itch, although prolonged usage without regular washing will do this a little bit. I do not always have time to wash my hair every day when I am working so this helps a lot towards keeping me presentable in public! If you have not tried it before why not get a trial size one to take on a camping trip or anywhere where you may not have access to a bath or shower, you'll be amazed!

I've been using Batiste dry shampoo for several years. I used to use Lee Stafford but it is almost twice as expensive and my sister suggested I try this brand. I have never looked back. Works well - really handy for those occasional Summer days when you don't have time to wash your hair twice in a day after you've been out in hot muggy weather and your hair feels a bit limp. I've got silver grey hair and it works great - I honestly don't know if it would work as well on black or dark hair. Smells of cherry when sprayed initially but thankfully the smell disappears quickly as I didn't want to walk round smelling like a bowl of fruit. It only needed a quick spray then I brushed it through after a couple minutes and my hair looked dry and full bodied again. Handy size to stick in a bag. Washes out easily when you do wash your hair. Only downside I found to it,was it leaves a thin film of talc-type dust over everything in the bathroom - but maybe I just need to be more careful how I spray it in future. Excellent product.

I absolutely love this dry shampoo. I love having such an affordable option for everyday use that still keeps such good quality. I do have a few high end options I keep for styling my hair however, this is my day to day option to keep my hair looking fresh. I love the scent options so I never have to worry about it leaving a chemical smell like some can.I also love the fact that they offer color options. One of the worst things is using a dry shampoo and it leaving your roots looking white-ish. I personally have a deeper red hair and still use the non-colored version and have still never had any white residue from this brand.I just completely love having this option and have recommended it toseveral friends and family members looking for a good shampoo and I never worry about it letting them down!

I have been using Batiste dry shampoo for some time, to extend the life of my coloured hair and provide a quick pick-me-up between washes. The dry shampoo has a pleasant smell and when massaged in thoroughly does exactly what it says on the tin. Getting the right amount can be a bit of a fine art, as too much leaves a white, chalky, residue on the hair that can be difficult to thoroughly rub in, but I have found spraying it evenly and at a distance from the hair greatly reduces the problem of white-residue. Unfortunately, it does leave small amounts of chalky dust around the area where you spray it (in my case, the bathroom), which is easily wiped away, but may be problematic on certain furnishings.Overall, an excellent product for getting a little bit extra out of your hair between washes.

I have used Batiste dry shampoo for a while, but decided to give a salon brand a try as I'd been using their other products and was very pleased with the results. But never again. It just didn't perform anywhere near as good as the Batiste, in fact I only used it twice and got rid of the rest. Well, lesson learnt. This will be the only brand of dry shampoo I will EVER use from now on. It's easy to use - just spray on to your hair, leave for approx 2-3 minutes then brush out (it's that simple). Hair not only looks and smells cleaner it has some volume and shine. If you're looking for a reliable dry shampoo that actually works, you'll not be disappointed with this. There is a range of Batiste Dry Shampoo to choose from and all at affordable prices. You'll be spoilt for choice.

I have extra fine hair that gets limp and greasy quite easily. I'm trying to reduce the number of times I wash my hair per week as not to completely strip my hair from natural oils. This dry shampoo works like a charm. I was a bit worried that the fragrance would be overpowering but it's very delicate and doesn't linger very long (other reviews says it lasts, I guess it depends on the texture of your hair), which is great as it would not irritate my scalp. I even use it on clean dry hair to add volume and texture. A godsend during humid summers to help freshen greasy hair. Would continue purchasing if product remains as a great value purchase of under £1.50.I've tried more expensive ones purchased from Boots and Superdrug and they performed pretty much the same.
