Contrary to expectations (the 'broadside' photo is deceptive) the metal band is essentially a clip that has space for a small split ring or mobile phone cord-type tether, not a ring but on the up side it is tiny and there is no cap to lose: the nub that looks like a hasp in the picture is slider used to extend either the full-size USB plug or the Micro version and despite being very loose-feeling the cover stays put in use and the drive is easy to fit to both a routine laptop and mobile phone.(The micro plug extends a little further than usual so it works even if the phone is fitted into a bump-proof case.)As an alternative to using a cable to micro-manage files this is a dream: I just bulk copy a structure to the drive then hunt and peck using a couple of Android Store products:Total Commander; and Paragon UMS add-on for Total Commander - other equivalent products may also be available but I happen to like 'em - so I now have access to everything I need without having to lug a laptop around.)Highly recommended with a single proviso: this is NOT a bomb-proof housing:If hung off a huge bunch of keys, bottle openers, folding pliers etc I predict one day when you look for it, it will be gone. But if attached to a reasonably compact EDC carry like a Victorinox Manager or similar that lives in your pocket it will remain in one piece and be working as well for you as it has for me, without a hitch since purchased and to be honest, somewhat thrashed in the process of (re)organising a LOT of files.PS An area of concern for me with metal-cased devices is the significant heat generated by USB3 transfers, particularly when the device is ultra-small. The slightly larger size coupled with the loose-fitting outer sleeve already mentioned means no more singed fingers...

With most phones/tablets you probably found that transferring files from/to them (from a PC) is surprisingly problematic - slow, error prone (time-out), and files that refuse to be moved or overwritten - whatever the protocol. You may also find yourself needing to transfer without a PC/Mac or need to print something from a phone/tablet (e.g. plane tickets at a hotel abroad) without using your e-mail/store/etc. credentials on a questionable PC/Mac.I think for the cost (32GB) if you have a micro-USB phone/tablet this is a *must buy*. Yes you can use a normal USB stick with a USB-2-micro USB adapter or MTP cable but likely you will lose/forget those and will be stuck. If you're going to carry an USB stick carry one of these.I already have the 'Old Version' and for the life of me I cannot see any differences, either physical or performance. The new one is also available in White if that takes your fancy though I think that would dirty faster. As with old version - if you're used to fast-write USB3 flash (e.g. Extreme) then you'll be a bit disappointed (Read ~100MB/s, Write 15-25MB/s) so I took 1 star off - but then again what else is there? Most phones/tablets are USB2 anyway so won't read or write faster than that anyway.PS: If you want to hold bigger than 4GB files, remember to format it as ex-FAT just as big micro-SD cards which should by now be supported by just about all OSes. FAT32 is limited to 4GB or less files and NTFS is generally not supported by phones; EXT needs a Windows driver.PS2: If you transfer films then get the biggest you can afford; do watch the Price/GB ratio - some versions are ridiculously expensive but wait for a deal if you don't need it immediately.

Brilliant. This is a 32Gb USB 3.0 memory stick. However, it is also an OTG (on the go) USB stick for Android phones and tablets. You can run content off the stick on your phone (e.g. movies). This device makes it easy to transfer material to/from my phone or tablet. I have a tablet with "Marshmallow" and the Android transfer utility is not supported by Marshmallow. This stick solves my problem. It also overcomes the loss of the removable SD card on the Samsung S6.The USB connectors are hidden on the housing of the device. You slide out the USB side or the micro-USB side. The physical form factor is a little flimsy but then what do you expect for the price. Also it is small. That could be a problem.Alternatively, the chrome bar would allow you you to stick this on a keyring. If you have an Android device - buy one. I do presentations "on the road" and this device "saved" me. When I was with a client, I got a text telling me the presentation content was wrong and could not be used. No problem with this device. I downloaded the corrected material to my phone. I transferred the content from my phone to this device. I plugged in my USB 3.0 stick to the client's presenting PC... and we were on! For that one use alone this SanDisk device was worth the money.Further use... this is great if have USB audio in your car you are a podcast user (I am). Download your podcasts to your phone/tablet, transfer the files to SanDisk. Plug the USB end into you car audio and this will kill a long journey. OTG and USB is a great combination.Recommended.

I ordered this USB to help store my university work on, and it has managed to do just that, and with flying colours indeed. So far it has all of the work I've done this year on, including storing a number of programs that I can boot off of it, and there are no hold ups, all thanks to USB 3.0.I've not had to use the OTG feature much, it's more of a nice add on feature to me, as my phone has ample storage through a micro SD card. However, when I have had to use it to transfer documents from my phone to a computer or back again, things that couldn't be transferred via Google docs or by plugging it into the computer itself (such as transferring work to a university or friends computer)it has performed admirably. The speeds via OTG are not outstanding, but comparable to any other USB 2.0 drive. The small size of this means I can leave it plugged into my surface 3 and put it into my bag without the worry of it breaking or not fitting, although the small size also means it is fairly easy to lose, especially as it is black and not a bright and visible colour. Attaching it to a lanyard or keyring is probably the best solution as you're unlikely to lose it that way, or just remember to put it in a safe place when moving with it.Overall this has probably been the best investment of my time so far at university for aiding my work, due to its speed, size and features.

This USB dual drive is compact and easy to carry. The central keychain ring is made of plastic which initially concerned me but in fact it has proven to be relatively secure, just be aware of this. It's performance is very fast and extremely convenient. The micro usb connector will not be compatible with future smartphones operating on the usb type c standard, but for now this will not matter (unless you have an iPhone or a samsung galaxy s8).Great storage capacity for such a small device although this ranges up to 128gb for only a tiny amount more, I recommend this model, theusb  connector is fast/efficient and compatible with all my devices, and will be for some time to come.Overall, it's an elegant, tiny solution to mobile storage, opening up all sorts of opportunities for phones with image and large video file sharing, document transfer and true portable working. The mechanism is sturdy with excellent longevity, maybe feels a little weak. The whole device casing is plastic which means you’ll never worry about it but there are some more sturdy or pretty devices (made by Sands) with aluminium casing, but for a dual drive, this is about the best compromise there is

Anyone with an Android device will appreciate being able to plug in an external flash drive into the Micro USB socket and instantly getting access to movies, music, photos, documents etc. This tiny device (less than half the size of a standard matchbox) is perfect for transferring files from your computer and then watching/accessing them on your smartphone or tablet. It's USB3 so transfer speeds are excellent. It is great for taking films or boxsets on holiday. My only little gripe is the sliding mechanism which pops out the standard USB connector at one end, and then pops out the Micro USB head when you slide it the full length the other way. When the slider is in the middle both the connectors are hidden away. The slider doesn't lock in place when you drag out either of the USB connectors and when you're trying to insert one, it becomes very easy to push it back inside. The problem is especially pronounced when trying to pop the standard USB into a computer. After a while, you learn to compensate for this by holding down firmly on the slider whenever you're inserting the flash drive. So not a big deal, but it can be tricky if your USB socket is in an awkward position.

I have read other reviews that are detailed and specific about the one thing that seems to get the goat of many. Speed. As far as I can tell the published 'up to' data transfer speeds do not match up with reality. Most tech reports seem to arrive about 2/3's of what the maxi is supposed to be.And the bottom line is that in reality it does not matter that much - unless you are a secret agent trying to download some data whilst a load of bad guys are charging up the stairs. What does matter is that this is as fast as most will need for data transfer and it works perfectly with Android and Windows. Can't vouch for Apple as I don't use their stuff.I can basically plug this into my phone, tablet or PC using either of the connections to suit and transfer data easily. The only slight thing is that the casing is not robust although I doubt that this will be a problem if used with reasonable care. So far despite feeling a bit 'plasticky' it's remained in one piece.Overall a cheap and useful little USB stick that might just make transferring data between devices a bit easier especially if you are out and about.

This is something else... It's always with a slight sense of potential disappointed that I purchase such items, ready for frustrations caused by hefty promises - this delivers and more. You can view movies on today's smart phones, listen to music, store hundreds of photos, but things always get clogged up - this allows amazing storage and transfer.I've an Xperia Z1, which allows external USB mounting, with OTG. No need for San Disk memory app, most Android file managers can cope with this. Move files from phone memory / micro sd card to external drive ; transfer from external drive to phone / memory card.Easy to transfer items from PC to phone using this, or vise-versa.Transfer speed is good.My phone even allows to view / watch items stored on this external drive without having to transfer.... So now I've got an external 64gb drive and a 64gb sd card with room for plenty of movies and whatever else !!!! LolNote 64gb, when plugged in, offered me circa. 60gb. Also whilst compact, have a feeling slide mechanism could get a bit loose if ur to rough with it. Still well worth the money tho.

This Sandisk Ultra USB 3.0 Dual Drive (32GB) is a useful device featuring a standard USB plug at one end and a Micro USB plug at the other end to connect to your phone or tablet. When not in use the plugs can be retracted fully into the body of the drive via a slider. The only other external features on the device is a rather clumsy looking metal keying attachment (it just looks out of place). The device itself is minute measuring only 30mm long with plugs retracted, however, there is no LED activity indicator and the unit feels rather plasticky. To be able to use this drive with your mobile phone/tablet the device has to be OTG enabled which more and more recent devices are and the SandiskMemory Zone App is a big help.I tried this with my Moto G and it worked fine allowing me to transfer MP3 files between my MS Surface Book and phone with ease. I tried transferring around 8GB of albums and I got a transfer rate of around 80Mbps which is respectable. In summary, a useful USB drive with a decent supporting app although the plastic build quality doesn't inspire confidence.

I already owned an older version of this USB drive before having this one and can confirm that despite their small size they are highly capable and very portable. They are perfect for when I’m travelling and need to access files on my Android smartphone and tablet and even allow me to save files from them to either share or simply keep a back-up. Until I discovered these drives I’d used an on-the-go cable (OTG) which had been both unreliable when it came to access and also more cumbersome since I had to carry a full-size USB drive too. Despite being part of Sandisk's Ultra range I find the transfer speeds to be a bit slow compared to some of my other USB 3.0 devices, but it is still faster than USB 2.0.The only real snag I have found is that it can be difficult to fit it next to some other USB connectors on laptops due to its physical shape, and I have sometimes used it in hubs instead in order to use it at the same time as other flash drives etc. However, when it comes to using it with an Android device I haven’t found anything better so can recommend it quite highly.

Plugged it into phone. Phone recognized it and showed 'usb inserted' on screen. Went into files found usb and copied music and photos onto it. Plugged it into tablet. Tablet recognized it. Copied everything onto tablet. It was really easy. Plus, everything is saved on it, just in case. 2000 songs copied in about 10 minutes. Also used it on someone else's Amazon Fire. It was a bit fiddly but it did recognize it.A couple of niggles. It does get warm when being used. Also, it doesn't feel 'solid'. When pushing the little lever that moves each usb out, It feels stiff. It feels as if you push it too hard it might break. Just need to be careful. It doesn't seem to fit snuggly right into the devices fully.Sort of partially out (if that makes sense). That's the micro side. Haven't used the 'standard' usb side.Four stars for the heating up and the not 'fitting snuggly', not for usage. I would give usage five stars. All that aside, it works! Is really handy and a great idea. I would buy another one again, if I needed to.

I tried this device by loading a few films onto it from my PC, of course using the full-size USB connector. 64GB is a good size for that purpose, allowing up to about 50 films to be stored, depending on resolution and run time. My Android tablet, a Sony Z3 Compact, accepted the Micro USB connector, and I was able to find the device with File Commander, which is a free download from the Play Store. A word of warning here; Android (like iOS) does not have native support for files in avi format, mp4 is preferable. Bingo, without any of the hassle of transferring files to the tablet's limited internal memory I was able to make films available on the tablet. So it's a device offering great convenience to the Android user, and I recommend it. My only reservation, which cost it the fifth star, is that it's construction seems flimsy and I'm not sure the slider will lock after sustained heavy use. But don't let that put you off, at the price it's a good buy.

It came exactly as it was described and I really like it. The OTG feature is really useful for quickly transferring files when needed, though I still mainly use it for my computer. And the fast download/upload speed is a real plus when handling large files, or transferring a lot at once. The only thing is that it is a little bit small in that it's not that long, although it does still have a key ring loop which I do use to make it a bit larger. It is coloured white so it is not that hard to find it if you happen to misplace it, as it stands out from most backgrounds. And the key ring loop is on the side, which I thought might be a bit finicky to use before buying this, though when I actually received it,it doesn't really get in the way. I definitely recommend using a keyring with this, however if you do want it to be as small as possible, then maybe it's not need for you, though I think it would fit in any pocket either way.

This 128GB USB/Micro USB is everything you're looking for in a USB flash drive. It's extremely small and so is easily stored, handled, carried etc. It is low profile which would be good for laptop users especially since it would be difficult to knock this tiny thing whilst moving your laptop. It is 128GB with about 115GB usable space, it is very fast with USB 3.0 ports which honestly is great for transferring files in a hurry, I didn't get to test the 150MB read/write speeds as my dying HDD obviously bottlenecked those transfer rates. At a price point of currently £22.00 it is honestly quite a steal. It's so rare to find a USB of such capacity at such a price point.Let alone one with a MicroUSB on the other side for easily transferring files to and from your phone or even using it to watch movies straight onto a tablet without dreaded storage space issues. If you are needing a USB, I can't reccommend this one enough!

I was delighted to be offered this nifty little item in return for a review - I'm continually swapping stuff between my PCs, phone and tablets, and this seemed like such a neat solution that I wondered why no one had thought of it before.Basically, it's a teeny memory stick, with a slide-out USB connector on one side OR a micro-USB on the other (you can't use both at once). And that's about it. if you have a use for such a thing, then this is well made, well thought out, and will do the job.Having said that, in actual practice I've found I just don't use it. Personally I still find it less fiddly to just connect my phone to the PC by the normal cable, then use drag'n'drop to organise my files. It's left me thinking that despite my initial enthusiasm, perhaps this item is a solution in search of its problem. But if you do have a use for such a thing, this does the job and does it well.
