My 'puter (Asus-X551) has only two usb-ports, spaced closely together on its left-hand side. I use a wireless-mouse (can't stand touchpads) which requires one of those usb-ports to be permanently used for the mouse's nano-receiver. Problem : The two usb-ports are drilled too close-together for any of my existing usb-sticks to fit comfortably (or, at all) with the nano-receiver installed. Could use a usb-adapter or a multi-port-on-a-lead, but these are inconvenient & generally slow-down transfers. So I bought this usb-stick 'cos it's the same size as the usb-port, without any extra 'padding' sideways ... & it's exactly that, & so fits easily (with room to spare, in fact) ... problem solved.Chose the 64GB version, since it gives the best value-for-money, & is still affordable at £13.49 (p&p free). As for the usb-stick itself :* It's nice-looking, easy to grab, small & dinky. Doesn't protrude very much, so can be left semi-permanently in its usb-port, without getting much in the way.* Construction-quality (brushed-aluminium, with rigid plastic handle-lette) is pretty-good, but inevitably (being so tiddly) it's probably not too robust, so it'll have to be treated with some care.* No cap, so it's not for use in dusty conditions (but should be ok in normal domestic use, or if kept plugged into its usb-port).* Formatted as MS-VFAT (thankfully, not the dreadful exFAT), 512 bytes/block. This is efficient for capacity, but at the expense of transfer-speed on large files (where reformatting to 4096+ bytes/block would most-likely much increase speed).* As usual, you don't get the full number of bytes - my "64GB" stick contained only 62,109,253,120 bytes, which is 3% short of 64 billion bytes .... I've got quite a few sticks of various sizes, & they're all short-changed. (I've never heard of one being over, so could this short-changing possibly be deliberate deception, I wonder?)* As for speed, writes weigh-in at about 20-40 MB/s for large files, with reads averaging 40-60 MB/s from/to my hard-disk (which isn't the fastest) using the USB3 port. Quite acceptable (although not much faster than when using the USB2 port), certainly massively faster than usb-sticks of only a year or two ago. Probably moves even quicker on a faster machine and/or with a faster hard-disk.So, overall, a well-designed usb-stick at an affordable price, which exactly solves my (I suspect, fairly-common) specific problem.

Ok, lets get this straight. Bought the 64GB one, wasn't expecting much from the other reviews, but Jesus, it works almost as advertised. The 'almost' is why it's a 4* and not a 5* review.First, the good points. Seriously, 64GB for £13? Yeah that's pretty good to me. Price wise, it's amazing and really cheap. It's also relatively small to my other USBs which is a plus. The read and write speed is pretty much as advertised, which I didn't expect, since the read speed reached 192MB/s at one point (was an average of aprox. 150MB/s as advertised when downloading from the USB).Ok, now why this review dropped a star. First off, when you advertise 64GB, I expect maybe a couple GB dropped here and there, but to give me 57.2GB is a bit eh, as I understand the programming inside the Flash Drive takes up a bit, but does it really need to take up 6.8GB? The only other problem I found is that the write speed isn't 150MB/s, it's 60MB/s. Sure, 60MB/s is still impressive, and if you advertised that this'd be a 5* review. (Tested with an SSD of read and write speed of 500MB/s and 450MB/s max aprox with a USB 3.0 Port).Currently working fine after about a week of usage, I'll update again if anything happens to it.P.S. Also since the top is all metal, because of the fast Read/Write speeds it sometimes heats up a bit which worries me, though not to a dangerous temperature and hasn't caused any problems for my ports so...yeah.Edit: Ok this is my third edit to this post, deleted the rest because what I wrote was wrong. First of all, this has a max write speed of 60MB/s, and a max read speed of 150MB/s. For the first GB of data being written to the Flash Drive, it'll write at aprox. 60MB/s, but after that it'll vary between 20-30MB/s so I suggest transferring sets of data in GB, and waiting about 10 seconds between each transfer. If you transfer over 5GB ish at once, it'll then slow down further to around 10MB/s write speed. Just wait a bit before your next transfer and it'll be back up to 60MB/s if it goes down that low. Read speed is a constant 150MB/s so taking from the Flash drive is fine if your computer/laptop's good enough.

Works great for what I need it to do.As a professional live event technician, mainly working with sound, this USB has been a great addition on my keys. I mainly use it to save backups of files from sound and lighting consoles, but this USB also has no problem at all with recording a 32 channel mix .WAV file straight from my sound desk, this comes in real handy when I'm mixing a band and want to record something last second. The only thing I don't like about this USB is that it does heat up rather rapidly, I think the metal casing is making this more noticeable than on other USB drives because metal is a conductor where as most other drives are cased in plastic. So in reality it might not be heating up any different to other drives, but it does feel like it does.On a side note, I don't often transfer large files to a USB flash drive like many people who have left reviews on this device, I use an external HDD or SSD for large files because I know what I'm doing and flash drives are not built to handle storing / playing large DVDrips like people are doing. So if you're looking for that, buy a HDD

Write speeds very poor when writing over a gb. The first gb writes around 40-50mbs and quickly drops off to below 25 after around 1.5-2gb.I tested it to make sure it was a 64gb drive and not one of the many fakes being sold on here by people and amazon. This one was 64gb (57 usable). plugged into usb 3 port and formatted to NTFS and tested up to 34gb.I stooped at 34gb because the write speed had dropped to 15mbs and I had things to do but the data was verified. It is very light and feels like it could break easily but its size probably makes it hard to snap for example. Biggest issue would be losing it before breaking it so I wouldn't worry.Overall it works, read speed are fast when moving large files but write speeds are awful for usb 3.If your moving say your folder of pictures from your last holiday to show your gran on her tv and that folder is 25gb then your going to need 30mins give or take to do so. Worth the £12 overall i guess

Very nice design.Sleek and powerful.Fit very well on my key ring full of Kingston memory sticks and Samsung ones very nicely.Small size, does the job well (until further testing);Only know the read speeds before purchasing so first thing I do is run a quick speed test...On average, speed for read were between 80 and 130.On average, speed for write is around 60.Not the quickest, definitely not the slowest. Does very well, but would still recommend Samsung or Kingston 64GB USB 3.0 storage for speeds.I will be using this as part of my daily drivers. Of this size always come in handy. Extra care will be taken though as there is no advertisement of strength.Spot on Job my Sandisk though. Can not fault at all. Still very surprised of how well it fits and compares to my other sticks.

The stylish fusion of brushed metal and shiny black plastic make this the flash drive of choice for the fashion conscious "man (or woman) about town" or "geek in the garage." The ability to add this to your key fob will add a touch of class to any boring bunch of keys and the capacity to quickly whip it out and slam it into your best friends USB port will impress those around you. But this is no lightweight when it comes to USB memory sticks...oh no, it comes complete with an impressive 32GB of space, a veritable Dr. Who's Tardis of room and as for speed, well it's a USB 3.0 device, need I say more, (ain't got a clue what that means but assume it's a bit quicker than a 2.0).Yes I've had hours of fun with my SanDisk Ultra Flair, why not pick one up today and you can have fun too. xxx

I would recommend this stick because last week i accidentally dropped it down the toilet and peed on it. It was sitting in the bottom of the toilet for around 3 minutes before i got it out. After giving it a thurrow wash with water. I wrapped loo roll round it and let it dry out for 9 hours. Woke up the next morning and it works perfectly fine. Apart from my distinct memory of it happening youd have no idea. Oh and having the extra security on the stick is an absolute bonus i have work that i dont necessarily want people to see and it brings a nice relief and its got great storage. It's nice and small so it can be stored anywhere but if you're a female and you store it in your bra becarefulor it might fall in the toilet.

If you want a flash drive that's not much bigger than the USB connector itself - this one is for you. Sure there are shorter versions but unless you want it pretty flush to a laptop I would be afraid to lose it and never find it again. It fits well on a keyring for example - but the connector is exposed and may be damaged through contact with keys. So in some ways a chunkier drive may be a better option if it protects the USB connector. For the size (32GB) the Read speed of 120MB/s and write of 40MB/s are both decent USB3 but naturally not close to Extreme. If you can live with slower write speeds other drives are much cheaper but I guess this is "in between" the most expensive and cheapestUSB3 options.

I bought the 32GB USB for the purpose of allowing me to put Rekordbox analysed files and music for use when DJing, the USB does this perfectly as its fast speeds allow me to add lots of music quickly and the capacity gives me plenty of room to store song files and other required files for when I play. Overall, I highly recommend this USB, whether you want to play music through a CDJ, transfer files or store word documents, it will have you covered!Only recommendation I would make is that sometimes when transferring files (especially large files), the USB stick itself can get hot, which no doubt, its metal design/finish does not help with, that is however my only issue with this product!

I have a plastic version of this Pen Drive from the same manufacturer. It had served me well for many years as its use was not heavy. I purchased a USB Hub that has a metal construction and, perhaps because it was brand new, the slots are very tight. Thus, when attaching the plastic Pen Drive, the interface became severely damaged. Therefore, I sought a replacement with a more durable construction. This drive fit the bill – being made from metal. It can be slotted into the ports of the new Hub without issue and it has operated as one would expect. When attached to the Hub, for an extended period some time, it does become warm to the touch… but not hot.

I was expecting it to be bigger - the usual roughly 50x20x8mm. It is tiny(43x14x4) but is very fast and runs only just warm, even when swapping lots of data. It weighs almost nothing so is ideal for the lanyard I tied on to keep it around my neck when out (backup no 4 of life's work). It also looked as though the black handle part swings over to protect the end - it doesn't and I fitted the end from a lesser sized old USB stick: not having one could lead to dirt getting into the connection.Apart from that one omission I find it an excellent big capacity USB drive & would reccommend it to anyone.

You can use a high-capacity USB flash drive such as this not only to transport data between machines, but to create an operating system image that is able boot a system in the event of startup problems - which is the main reason i purchased this, to keep a boot image of Mac OS X handy. Why this one rather than another brand? Most importantly, I have always found SanDisk products to be very reliable. Also, the drive is of a neat design (including a keyring loop) and pleasing brushed aluminium colour with silver detailing. Finally, the recent Lightning Deal price was attractive.

This is a great drive for the price. It's one of the smaller models on the market and offers huge capacity for its size, even if it is quite easy to lose. It's fast, easily meeting the advertised specifications. My only gripe with it has to do with the fact that there is no cover for the USB plug, meaning it can easily become damaged if you're using the drive for portable storage. This isn't an issue for me as I bought the drive simply to perform a clean install of MacOS and to use occasionally for transferring and installing software, but it is something to be aware of.

Works well, I can't fault it. Well worth the money, and speed seems fine. I don't feel like I am waiting to long for things to happen but I haven't done a speed test because that info is readily available for this device. Looks good and is very narrow to not interfere with other USB devices in neighbouring sockets. Only downside I would say is no protection for the connector when not in use but that isn't a problem for office use or similar. If you are going to attach to a key ring then it would probably be better looking for something with protection for the connector.
