The 32GB USB 2.0 model is nothing special and it isent fast at all. If you want to store something big and you want high transfer speed this is not the right drive for you. But if you don't care about transfer speeds and just want a decent file storage to store basic files and videos this USB Flash drive might be for you. if your on a budget don't mind the sacrifices this might be for you. Dilivary time is good and it arived on time after collage at the time and it's good for backing up my photos and instllers incase I get a virus and its good for torrents if you want to pirate movies music any content on bit torrent website (I DON'T RECOMMEND PIRATING ITS ILLEGAL IN SOME COUNTRIES YOU CAN GET INTO TROUBLE IF YOU GET COUGHT TAKE CAUTION IF YOUR GOING TO TAKE A RISK PIRATING)but its exallent for that to. If you want a faster transfer speeds flash drive Toshiba does have a USB 3.0 model and it is much more faster if you don't mind paying a little extra for it. now do I recommend it yes and no if you want high transfer speeds and to store games you bought from steam e.t.c. this isent going to serve you well but if your on a budget and you dont mind the lack of transfer speeds and your just storing basic files this might be for you.

These are great little USB sticks; I now have bought three of these for various reasons. 1 for another family member, 1 with files / photos backed up and 1 for a Windows recovery / boot drive. They are so cheap that I am likely to order another one or two as I'd like to have a separate drive exclusively for photos - useful if carrying to a friend's house if you want to show holiday pics without also taking your private Word documents!Hard to review, the oldest one is about three years old and no problems (touch wood). Same with the other two. With USB sticks they can of course just die suddenly, so I'm happy to get one from a company that has a good enough CV with regards to computer memory /storage products. Makes me feel a little better than buying a cheapie no-name, but tbh these are running at £4 / 16gb at time of writing, so I've no complaints there either.Seems stable, formats well (I have both FAT32 and NTFS formatted drives), decent styling. For my needs, I wouldn't feel it necessary to spend more just to buy a better name drive; but obviously backup files in multiple locations is probably wise with any drive, wherever possible is probably good advice. So far, so good, this is great for me. Recommend it!

firstly, there are a mix of reviews for different Toshiba memory sticks. This is for the 64GB usb 2.0 version . The stick is compact and reliable. It provides an incredible amount of storage for a very low price. The downside is that usb 2.0 has much slower transfer speeds than newer usb 3.0. If write speed is a priority and you want to transfer large files quickly then do NOT buy the 2.0 version, go for later 3.0 . If you are happy to use this as a back-up and can let it take the time it needs (for 64gb - 3+ hrs) , the usb 2.0 is ideal. Reading from the usb 2.0 (and writing back to your main device/computer) is about 5 times faster. The read speed is probably fast enough to be used for 1080p HD video (I would do test first) but not 4K UHD. It is, however, not really suitable for using except bac-up long term storage as accessing say music files for a media player is too slow to be enjoyable. I bought this as a better place to store about 50gb of mp3 music files, it does the job perfectly. finally, I repeat, if you are not happy to allow a couple of hours for the usb to fill up, buy a more expensive faster version.

I'm not an expert on flash drives and have been caught out a couple of times buying non branded bogus drives at knock down prices.Since then I stick to branded drives like these ones. These are half the price of the identical product now on sale at ASDA.I normally back up my hard drives every month but was recently caught out when a drive gave up the ghost between backups and I lost some data.It was the dreaded 'click of death'!These memory sticks are ideal for backing up data on a daily basis when engaged on bigger projects such as video editing. The cap is a positive fit on the stick and can be fixed on the rear end when in use.No more lost caps. The price is very competitive and lower than some of the unbranded sticks I have bought in the past. The plastic feels tough and a lanyard eye is a handy design feature. Now I follow the Golden Rule - back up onto memory off the current drive at regular intervals!Read full review...

I used a 3.0 USB to this 3.0 Flash Drive and data transfer was not all that fast, but not terribly slow either. The transfer speeds are good enough to justify the price etc. the device is light (though this shouldn't be too much of a problem no matter the Flash Drive) and the plastic material is study and robust; it's not cheap plastic. The dust cap that covers the USB end can be affixed to the other end of the device so you don't lose it - and whichever end it's affixed to is nice and sturdy and tight. I can't imagine it accidentally falling off - maybe in three or four years if and when the plastic wears down a lot.Overall, I would recommend this product. It's not perfect (data transfer speed). But in all other aspects it's a very good Flash Drive. At least the quality control is much better for this product than with other products of a similar size and price.Buy one! (:(I will report back as and when I have an issue.)

Apart from arriving in infuriating clamshell-packaging that demands your blood in response to the fight to get into it, the actual USB memory stick inside is pretty good.I checked the partition alignment in parted on Linux, and the partition wasn't aligned properly; you'd not notice much apart from maybe a slight decrease in write speeds, and maybe a tiny bit of increased wear, but nevertheless it's worth deleting the partition and recreating it with a reputable partitioning tool. I recreated it and applied the FAT filesystem to the newly-aligned partition (I haven't checked ext2 or exFAT performance as it is only for playing podcasts in the car) and performance is pretty good.It feels pretty-well constructed, and is from a reputable manufacturer so I fully expect it to last until it becomes obsolete, rather than wearing out. If this memory stick suddenly dies, I'll update this review. Not bad for a few quid!

I personally purchased this USB to store and backup a lot of important work documents on a Windows 10 laptop and it has worked perfectly. My first impression was that the flash drive feels well made with a sturdy feeling plastic. It also comes with a plastic cap to protect from potential damage from liquid, dust, and if dropped etc. Additionally, there is a keychain hole which can be useful when needing to carry the USB with you and having to fear losing it. On the packaging it is clearly stated that this flash drive works with Windows 7, 8.1, 10, and Mac v10.6.6, v10.10.As for functionality this device is great. The device easily fits into my laptop is does not feel awkward take out unlike some flash drives can.The speed of the device is also not bad whatsoever and has given me no problems.Would definitely recommend this USB as it feels reliable and is great quality for the price.

I recently purchased a Brennan B2 music player and had been loading cds on an individual basis via the device’s player. This was very time consuming. I had previously transferred a lot of MP3 files to an external hard drive and so the Toshiba flash drive appeared to be the ideal solution to transferring these files to the Brennan’s hard drive. Transfer from my own hard drive to the flash drive was simple and straight forward, involving copy and paste of the MP3 files and then loading them on to the Brennan was as easy as plug in and a few commands resulted in almost immediate transfer. This flash drive has a large storage capacity of 32gb and is ample for my needs. All in all this little device has saved me hours of repetitive work and now I can sit back, relax, and listen to the fruit of my (much reduced) labour.

I picked up this USB drive for less than £5 and had it delivered the next day. Obviously these days USB drives are getting cheaper and cheaper to purchase, but a 32gb for under a fiver is a great deal. It comes with a little plastic cap to keep the insertable part safe and has a small hole to thread a string through for a charm or a small keyring. I've lost a load of these so popped one of the kids keyrings on to make it a bit bigger.I would have given this 5 stars but the transfer rate from computer to drive is pretty slow, not slow enough to be upset about but with USB 3.0 around anything less seems like it's at a snail's pace!I've yet to have any data loss or any problems so far with the drive and it's lived in my pocket for a few months so I'm pretty happy on the whole with it!

Yesterday I had to order a new memory stick as my original stick (another make but had it for years) finally threw the in towel!I had a moment of meltdown but fortunately I had a second memory stick which I copy everything from the original stick onto.I ordered this memory stick yesterday afternoon and it arrived via Royal Mail this morning. Will be using this as a 2nd back up.I cannot stress enough how important it is to back everything on your computer onto a memory stick or disk. And do have a 2nd seperate back up. I am sure I'm preaching to the converted and you all know this already, but this little stick does what it is meant to. Plug it in and transfer files to it. All done takes no time at all.So pleased with the stick and for it to arrive within hours.Highly recommend..

In this day and age, there's not a lot of call for smaller USB sticks (seems strange calling a 16Gb stick small - I remember when I thought I'd never fill a 32Mb stick ), but I wanted a small stick that I could stick a few albums to play in the car, and also use to update the maps on the sat nav.Package arrived the next day (as expected with Prime), in the promised easy open packaging - no scissors required to get into this, unlike most SD cards packaging). Both the car and the PC picked up the stick immediately, data transferred quickly, and I now have apparently have Spanish speed limits updated on my maps - wins all round should I ever drive in Spain :)All in all, buy this and get exactly what you'd expect. For under a fiver - how can you go wrong.

£2.98 for 16GB? Wow.When I got this I plugged it into my Linux box and it mounted immediately. I copied various files to it and it seemed snappy. I then put it in my MacBook Pro and expected it to throw a hissy-fit about the file format but no, mounted straightaway no problem.I went straight on to Amazon and ordered the larger 32GB - £3.67 - that's just stupidly cheap.I've read some reviews slagging this off as slow but I've tested writing a 2gb .iso file to it (via Ubuntu) from a NAS and got a consistent 19.4m/s as you can see in the pic.I'm looking forward to getting the 32gb one. For the price of about half a pint I can use it t download and backup my entire Google Photos library. Can'tcomment on using it with Windows as I don't use it.

This is a budget memory stick, and as such it won't set any records for speed. Yes, I know it's USB 2.0, but even with that in mind it's not a fast stick.Tested using H2testw v1.4 in a USB 2 socketWriting speed: 5.01 MByte/s (took over 90 minutes to do this part!)Reading speed: 29.9 MByte/sI also tested it in a USB 3.0 socket, and the write speed is the same. I couldn't be bothered to wait the nearly two hours for the full results (again) so I don't acutally know, but suspect the read speeds in this socket are about the same. So, basically, it's usable only for small files, and not a lot of them either. However, I will be using it as an archive/store for 4K videos for testing 4K TVs,as the read speed is fast enough for that (I hope!).

I bought four of these and each has performed well. The write speeds are good for a USB 2 Flash drive. They are white, which means you can write on them with a black CD pen.I've given these to friends and clients who have full size older Desktop PCs and a spare USB port on the back of their machines. These people don't have a great deal of RAM in their machines running older versions of windows and I point out the benefits of plugging in one of these sticks permanently and have the system use it as a system use only READYBOOST drive to improve performance. You can easily do this by right clicking on the drive letter that windows assigns to the Toshiba USB drive and then click properties and the 'readyboost'tab.
