I initially purchased a SanDisk Ultra Fit 128GB USB 3.0 drive, hoping I'd get a good one after reading so many reviews saying it gets hot and can have fluctuating poor performance. I didn't get a good one, it did get very warm to the touch after writing more than a gig of data to it, and the write speed bounced around like a kid on a pogostick, fluctuating from 60MB/s at first, then dropping down to 1.7MB/s near the final 1/4 of the transfer, taking 5+ mins to complete writing 7.4GB worth the files. Then, I got this Lexar for Christmas. The differences in performance are night and day. Let me be specific in how I tested them both and the results thereof. My test consisted of writing 7.4GB of files from a USB 3.0 My Book external using a USB 3.0 port on a new Lenovo Yoga 700 laptop, with either thumb drive using the same USB 3 port and data source for the test. With the Lexar S75 128GB drive, the transfer started at 67MB/s, then held steady in the 60-64MB/s range, with occasional one second fluctuations down to 57MB/s then immediately back up to the 64MB/s range, holding consistently, with my 7.4GB transfers taking about 2 minutes (I just did another test while writing this and timed it at 2 mins 2 sec with the same 7.4GB worth the files, same source, same ports on the same laptop). Last night, before deciding to send the SanDisk back, I tried again with the SanDisk, hoping it was a fluke after getting such good results with the Lexar, only to get the exact same horrible results as before. The logical choice is the Lexar S75 128GB drive. While it does not have the low profile form factor I would prefer, it's performance speaks volumes. I've since sent back the SanDisk Ultra Fit and have two more Lexar S75s on the way.

So far I have to give this flash drive 8/10 ...So far I have to give this flash drive 8/10I needed a Flash Drive in a hurry and unfortunately my last new drive let me down within 2 weeks. Please refer to my review of it below.amazon.co.uk/gp/customer-reviews/R2JVW83LY5TN12/ref=cm_cr_pr_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00O0HMF1GI ran the same tests on this the Lexar 128gb USB 3.0 as I did the "Kingston 128gb USB 3.0" but the only different was the Kingston Drive was done in "Windows 7" and this new drive, the Lexar was done in "Windows 10" but again please refer to the first review as it will be important if your looking for a new flash drive, then pull up the 2 pages together and compare the results.Again from the image left to right,"left Image" C: Is my main drive done in raid 0 for back up. "Middle Image" K: is the Lexar 128gb Flash Drive in a usb 3.0 port. "Right Image" P: Is my "Integral" 16gb USB 2.0 Flash Drive in a usb 2.0 port. Now if you are looking at the 2 reviews at the same time, It is clear that the Lexar Flash Drive is the clear winner over the Kingston and I just hope the Lexar lasts far longer than the Kingston "Only 2 Weeks", Plus as an added BONUS you will see that my C:drive is reading far faster under Windows 10 than it was running in Windows 7, How this is possible Im not sure but I ran the test 3 times.I hope this review helps people make their mind up.

The "Lexar JumpDrive S75 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive [Amazon Exclusive Packaging]" is an update on a frontally visually identical and older S73 purchased in its standard retail pack and used almost daily for inter-PC transfers of small to moderate amounts of data. From the rear, the markings and labelling are very different. Typical uses include downloading a device driver or software package on one machine and then using the memory stick to transfer and install that download on others, to copy documents between machines that are on different networks etc. The two are now used interchangeably. In the few years since the original of this style of JumpDrive was purchased with the intent that it meets all reasonable needs at the time (others of greater capacity were soon demanded)it has proven trouble-free but, as with all flash memory devices, they allow a certain number of read and write cycles before eventually failing, an unavoidable certainty. Even with heavier use than is typically required, that should be a few years into the future.Large enough to be comfortable to handle and bright enough in colour to find should it ever be dropped. Well worth buying, even as a spare, as they currently more affordable than ever.

A few years ago I bought this model at 32gb. It has lasted about 3 years and a full wipe and reload about twice a month and daily read / write use. I have been using them for downloaded movies to watch on smart tv with no probs. The drive still works as standard storage on PC/Mac but will freeze on Smart tv from corrupted sectors. So still has some basic use if I need to transfer files / temp storage.I went for the 128gb this time as it was £4 more than 64gb at only £17 the usb 3 is faster than 2 but not near the speeds advertised. Not that it matters as it's quick enough to run full 1080p HD video files.Days after I started using this one my other (Sandis Cruser Blade 64gb) did exactly the same.I only had that one half the time and only did a full wipe / reload 6 times and was using it to permanently keep video files. Basically failed in half the time and about 20% the use...So I quickly bought another one of these as the price was far to good to pass. I didn't need the size but it means I don't have to constantly delete and can take my time with the extra space available. Will stick with Lexar if they continue this level of quality.

Lexar JumpDrive S75 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive [Amazon Exclusive Packaging]The drive. This is a Lexar thumb drive with retractable USB plug. It comes in Amazon’s fuss free packaging consisting of a plastic multi case and envelope.Set up.It was automatically recognised by Windows 10 and my Mac. It comes ready formatted and ready to go.In use.I use quite a lot of these to shunt around data between home and work and they have been reliable and robust of the time I have used them. Although USB 3.0 they are not the fastest on the market but they are stable and reliable on the platforms I have used them on. I normally copy big spreadsheets to them and some Word documents and these have worked fine.No problems with corruption or miss reads at all.Overall.These work well for me as a data store between home and work and visa versa. They are quite big but at the same time they are robust and the retractable plug keeps dirt at bay. If you are moving Office documents around these are fine, if you need to move lots of video or stills perhaps something a little faster will be needed. For my needs these are good value, reliable and robust

There's not a lot to tell this apart from any other USB stick really, although that doesn't make it a bad product. It works right out of the "frustration free packaging" (not quite frustration free, it comes encased in enough plastic to hold two sticks, two SD cards, and two micro SD cards, and this is in a paper envelope, which came inside the standard Amazon shipping cardboard, so actually tremendously wasteful).I tried to test the speed by transferring 23GB of videos and images from a USB 2.0 drive, onto my computer, then back onto this stick. Both transfers took ages, but the latter transfer was noticeably quicker.Apart from that, I can't really tell it apart from any other stick drive. The one thing I do really like about it is the retractable USB pluggy bit (I got proper technical with you there, huh?) The drive I currently use doesn't have that feature and I've never been that fond of it so I do prefer this one now.All in all, if you find the same capacity stick for a cheaper price there's no reason not to go for that instead, but if this is the cheapest around then you might as well go for it.

My 32GB Lexar drive is orange and white in colour and consists of a plastic shell with slightly stiff retractable metal connector. It is quite wide compared to some other USB drives that I have, and although that’s not usually a problem it does mean that it can’t use it side-by-side with certain other devices if they are connected in the next USB slot. It was simply a case of plugging in and the device was ready to use, although I did perform a simple reformat (right click, quick format) before using it.In terms of performance the drive works well enough, though it is not as fast as you might expect from the manufacturer’s description. In fairness the read and write speed claims from most manufacturers are not generally attainable either, and I mention it only as an indication to those who don’t already know. This is a USB3.0 drive so it can make the most of modern connectors, whilst remaining compatible with older types at slower speeds. In practice I find that it works quite well, and I like the large indicator on the drive which flashes during operations.

The Lexar JumpDrive is a handy, no-frills flash drive (aka memory stick) for being able to transport files, data, photos or other such documents or programs. The flash drive is conveniently compact, with an excellent retractable USB connector, which easily slides back-and-forth using the thumb slider on the front. This not only helps protect the USB connector section, but also makes the flash drive that little bit more compact when not in use.Once plugged into your PC or laptop, the flash drive is very much like any other flash drive. Just drag and drop what you need into the flash drive’s folder and then away you go. Simple and convenient.I’ve been using the flash drive for a good couple of months now and have been very pleased with its reliability and ease of use.The hard plastic casing that makes up the main body of the flash drive is also very strong and sturdy and clearly designed to withstand plenty of knocks.

First of all the USB stick is very obviously made out of plastic. It is extremely light and doesn't feel overly durable. However, relative to the price it's definitely not bad and better than a lot of others in this price range. Now onto speed. Writing to this USB is quite for (again, for the price) I averaged about 55MB/s transfer speed on mine (after immediately formatting to NTFS) I have attached a picture comparing the real world write speed of the Lexar S75 to the more expensive Lexar P20.As you can see, the P20 blitzes the S75, but is about 2 to 3 times the price (although you do get about 4 times the write speed)If you want a very fast USB to transfer huge files, then go for the Lexar P20.However, for a cheap USB to carry everywhere just for movies or your photo collection, you can't go wrong with the S75.

It's a very large capacity drive, which is excellent for photo and movie storage. It's super lightweight, and appears to be in a working condition. The reason I am giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because even though Amazon sent a replacement which I appreciate a lot - the Lexar 3.0 USB connector appears to be wonky. Maybe it's because I am plugging it into a 2.0 slot which is slightly shorter, but if I insert the drive all the way it will not power on. If I insert it 7/8's in it will power on just fine. Can't speak for reliability yet as I've only owned it for a day so far.Would I recommend this? Yes, if one is looking for a high capacity USB drive for a cheap price.****Updated as of 12/30/2015*****After owning this USB drive for several months now,it has yet to fail me. It's reliability so far is 100%.

This thumb drive is pretty awesome but could be faster...it is just a little faster than a fast USB2 thumb drive I have. Write speeds were about 45MB/s and read speeds were about 120 MB/s. I thought because it was USB3 it would be a lot faster. I love how much it holds. It is FAT32 formatted when it arrives, but you can reformat it to whatever you want so it will hold files larger than 4GB. Super small size, light, stable, holds a ton.Shipping was super slow, but at least it arrived eventually.PROS:-holds tons of data-small-retracable port-lightweight-no noise of spinning drivesCONS:-could be faster-could have shipped out faster

I've used many different Lexar flash drive designs and they all work well, but I stick to this physical design, now. There is no cap to lose, They fit side by side in computer USB ports. They are reliable, have good capacity, perform well and often come at a good price. This drive brings all of the above benefits, but with the boost of USB3 speed. I am using one to curate my music collection prior to copying selected tracks to an SD card for use in my car. The speed is so good that I forget I am not using the computers main memory.

I just received this product in the mail. Here is my quick review:Pros:Product is fast. The USB 3.0 transfer rate is quick. I copied 10GB of data very quickly.Best price was on Amazon, hands down. I purchased a 64GB USB drive from Office Max for about $17. This one was on sale for about $6 more, but twice the size.Cons:The one con I have to say about this product is the piece that slides out and goes into the computer is somewhat "sticky", meaning when I go to push / slide it out, it is somewhat difficult to push out.

Fantastic deal for the price, you can't beat 128GB for under 30 bucks. I'm currently using it to watch movie on my TV off of. Not the quickest flash drive in the lineup, but it will get the job done, no doubt. FAIR WARNING. Make sure that the device you plan on using it on can read the format exFAT. If not, this will be useless to you. My phone didn't but my TV did, so I could use it to watch movies from the TV but I could not use it with my S4 and an OTG cable. My mistake. Other than that, works wonderful.

I like the stick, it is very fast in USB 3.0 port, but good in 2.0 port. I did it in my desktop. The result is kind of the same for my laptop. However, when it connected to my phone by OTG 2.0 cable, the speed is extremely slow. I think maybe due to the low quaility of the cable.----Update: my phone's otg connection is terrible due to the newest firmware. With a otg cable, it works very fast (even my phone supports 2.0 protocol). Let say writing speed varies about 10-25MB/s.
