Ok so I did some checking into this first before buying this one. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 (i9300), running samsung based custom Jelly Bean rom. make sure this is intended to work on your device before ordering. So the delivery wasnt too long - I think it was 6 days (free delivery). I'm unsure of if it is official or not, but it certainly looks the part. The connection can be a little stiff, but if you intent to plug something heavy in, I guess thats a good idea... It worked perfectly on my phone, I tried my PC's mouse and keyboard (mouse has a wireless dongle thing & keyboard is wired) they work great! I have tried using the mouse to play max payne on my mobile and my shooting accuracy has gone through the roof (as if i was playing on a pc)I love this adapter! got an SGS3? get one.The only negative comment I have, is that while a tight connection is kinda good, I rushly pulled out the mouse dongle one day, and part of it stayed in the adapter! :/ I had to use tweezers to pull it out. This could easily be a cheap mouse dongle, BUT I've never had it do that to me b4 on my pc usb ports. Well worth the buy anyway.

Bought this connector based on Amazon reviews and it worked great. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (with Kit Kat 4.4.2) and wanted to save a file from my phone to a SD card. Using my USB to SD Card adapter I plugged it in to the connector and then plugged it into my phone. The phone immediately detected the SD card and named it Drive A. I saved my file to Drive A (slightly convoluted but fault of software not the connector) and then disconnected by a quick tap on USB symbol on phone notifications page followed by removing connector when symbol disappeared. Plugged SD card into my destination device and it worked beautifully. Wish I'd discovered this facility a year ago - ah well better late than never! One note the maximum storage device size quoted in the mini manual that comes in the box says 32Gb - shouldn't be an issue for most of us.

There are other similar and cheaper products on the market but this is a quality product. The cable is soft but durable, USB thumb drives fit in the socket like a glove and the micro USB connects to my phone with a satisfying and re-assuring click. It is mainly designed for connecting USB printers (according to the packaging and leaflet inside) but I have used it to connect USB thumb drives and external hard drives (USB 2.0). I have still to try to connect a USB 3.0 external hard drive and see how that performs. I played Full HD 1080p movies from a thumb drive and they play without a glitch or buffering or any issues at all. Very happy with the product and I would buy again and definetely recommend it,it's well worth the extra cash!!

I bought this to use with my Samsung Galaxy S3, I had read that you could connect various USB devices to it so I thought I'd give it a go.Some things work better than others but for the price, you can't really go wrong.I've connected a USB drive, an external hard drive, a ps2 controller (using a USB adapter), an xbox 360 controller (using a wireless usb receiver) and there's plenty more things you can connect such as a mouse, keyboard and a few other things presumably. If you intend on using external controllers to play games you should probably have your phone rooted but other than that it's easy-peasy.

I bought this for use with my Samsung Galaxy Nexus and it works perfectly well! With the android 4.0.2 update, I can use usb peripherals with it including mice, keyboard, cameras etc. Hopefully soon with more android updates USB mass storage will be supported too! Also being an official Samsung product, like the other cables and such supplied, the glossy black finish is very stylish and fitting with the phone. Even though you can get unbranded versions of these elsewhere, I'd definitely recommend buying this as it is a good quality official product with warranty and looks awesome attached to your phone.

I tried 2 similar adaptors I bought from eBay at half the cost and they did not work so I bought the official Samsung one and sure enough any cordless mouse or keyboard worked perfectly. Also a memory card plugged in shows up as an extra drive on the device. I do believe a standard hard drive (providing it has it's own power supply) works but haven't tested that. I have successfully connected a mini 2.5GHz wireless keyboard with trackpad combo too!I use this on a Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 (UK version) with Gingerbread 2.3 and Ice Cream Sandwich 4.03

You just can't argue with the ability to connect an unpowered external hard drive to your phone. Splendid!Tried it on my Samsung S2 640gb hard drive (see below), it didn't work when it was formatted with NTFS (I suppose that makes sense). Works ok on FAT32 though so all's well. Who really has any one file that's bigger than 32gb anyway?Works fine on my Sandisk Titanium USB stick too. Very handy for work and holidays!

I have tried it with a flash drive, a mouse, an external sound card and a PS3 controller and they all worked like a charm. But the most important is that it worked with my external hard disk without the need of extra power. I own a WD My Passport 1TB where I keep my movies and TV series, so now I hook it up directly to my SIII using this adapter and access all my stuff flawlessly!

It's more of a novelty but if you are a gadget guy like me it is a good novelty item being able to copy from a usb stick onto your phone or the other way round, like asking your friend or work colleague to put a film or the photos from last weeks Christmas party on a usb an being able to copy them right off without needed a computer it's as simple as plug an play

Previous non OEM purchase had bent pin , you need to be sure when connecting to a tablet / phone that the connector is not going to damage your £3- 400 product it's worth paying a bit more second unit bought for my son usinf on Nexus 7 2013 and Samsung Galaxy S3 also beware there are knock offs -- buy fro reliable source like Amazon :-)

This usb adapter allows my Samsung Galaxy S2 to connect to my FAT32 USB stick, Logitech wireless keyboard (through wireless receiver), mouse and best of all my SD card reader which allows me to send images to people over email while out and about. Essential for a photographer while cameras don't have wireless connectivity built in.

Works with Samsung S2, not with my girlfreinds Samsung W.I didn't buy it for her, so that doesn't bother me.Brilliant cable, very handy to plug memory sticks into phone, I have a Verbatim Card reader, it recognises that too, very hand for checking photos on my phones superb screen when I've been out with my slr.Love it!

When you shop from Amazon directly it is always a good experience. This cable is simple, nothing interesting to add. It is a cable for USB Host enabled phone, it feels premium so it may not worth the money since you can find cheaper cables but this one is premium.I gived 4 stars instead of 5 just because it is expensive.

There's not so much to say, apart that is good quality made, samsung is always warranty of good stuff, it works also on other non-samsung products capatible with the USB HOST or OTG.I bought it for my father's Sony Experia Z, he has been able to download pictures from his camera and connect keyboard and mouse...suggested

I was hoping this would allow me to download photos from my cameras and then e-mail etc. However, it seems only to support the USB Mass Storage profile at the moment. So you'll need a USB card reader too to achieve what I wanted. But it is ideal for swapping files otherwise. Works fine and arrived pretty quick.
