Ok so firstly, by way of disclosure, I was supplied a sample for test and evaluation, and I promised to write a review that is fair and honestCharging cables come and go, need them at home, in the car, at work, everywhere. With mobile phones and just about everything else running on battery relying on microUSB, we just can't get away from the need for microUSB cables - PS4, Kindles, work phone, external batteries and speakers all use microUSB ports.I'm not sure I would normally buy a microUSB cable, they always just seem to be included free with whatever product, but if I do, it has to be Anker.I have noticed in the past that not all microUSB cables are made equal - so for instance in the past,Nokia and Samsung cables wouldn't charge a Blackberry so there is merit perhaps in considering the quality of product. The Anker construction is simple and attractive, fuss free. The Anker presentation is simple and attractive, fuss free. First sight shows the cable inside is clearly not wound as tight as either Apples own or many of the cheap copies - this can be put down to the clear difference in cable sleeve - it's not that the cable sleeve looks different, it's just feels different, stiffer, stronger being nylon bound. Clearly this isn't going to wind up in a little knot, but I take some reassurance that the cable is stronger than others. Also includes a little fabric envelope, but in fairness, this has little use after unboxing.Obviously the extra length of this cable is something to be considered carefully when purchasing and I would think it's beneficial for charging PS4 controllers in play, or similarly any instance where your plug sockets are further from your bedside than is reasonable and you need a cable to reach across the bedroom while you sit up watching a film on your tablet or perhaps on long car trips and you want to access the 12v socket in your boot to keep the kids tablet charged while driving.Quality wise, it feels stiffer and stronger than your average poly-constructed cable, Clearly this isn't going to wind up in a little knot, but I take some reassurance that the cable is stronger than others. The cord/cable is clean and not unattractive, it certainly does not look cheap. A subtle gold tone to the nylon and end plastics suits the gold connectors.the connector tips look strong and well made. These are housed in a more robust plastic housing, slightly bulkier than some, neatly branded, with clean lines and finish. Importantly and to avoid the ever so frustrating issue of bent/creased cables, at the point of exit from the connector tip, the cables are supported by about 5mm of rigid plastic extending back along the cable. Again a distinct difference to many cables which allow for creasing and crimping at the connector to cable interface. In terms of length, there are also 3 and 10ft versions of this which I imagine will be the exact same quality and finish. In respect of performance, it does exactly what it says, so far charging all devices, connects well with a good solid fit.So my final scores are;Packaging 5/5 - simple, fuss free, minimal waste nice little wallet/envelopeAppearance 5/5 - smart appearance, good sturdy quality and finish, I like the strength and heft of the cable and the neat finish at the cable endsValue 3/5 - £8.99 is a fair amount of money compared to cheap Chinese specials, and all the freebies in box with phones/speakers/batteries. However if you do need to buy a new cable for your Android smartphone or kindle, then this Anker nylon braided cable is not going to disappoint - it's certainly worth paying for compared to some of the cheap freebies I've had.Performance 5/5 - great, does exactly what it says on the tin!Overall 5/5 - it's a great quality items. Anker don't do cheap, just great value

This cable is just simply amazing. It's truly a unique cable ranging from the texture of the cable to the fast charging speed, allow me to explain.Anker sent me a cable to test/ review and judging from their previous products I've purchased I'm not surprised of the overall build quality of this product. The cable itself is made of a kelvar fiber material which means it'll last. This means that the cable won't break in half or fall apart. When testing out the durability of the cable, it withstand lots of pressure. This cable was just built to last, I feel like I can keep this cable for 5 years straight without replacing it with another one. And surprisingly it's fairly light for the material it's made of.The cable itself has black ends with a nice soft fiber red touch on the actual cable. It very soft to touch and the ends feel highly secure to the cable.Next we have performance: Again it's nothing surprising but that's in no way a bad thing. The transfer speed is extremely fast while charging is superb. Using Anker's power bank that I purchased with PowerIQ, I can charge my Nexus 5 from 0-100 in about an hour. This is really good considering it doesn't have Qualcomm's quick charge 2.0 or anything similar like that. The cable snaps in to place easily and feels secure when inside the port. It can be removed with ease and the same can be said about the USB side. If there was one thing I can ask Anker to do, which is something small, it'd be to make the heads of the cable (Micro USB and USB) made of metal instead of plastic. Omaker did something like that and it'd worked great. The overall value of this product is amazing! Feels great, operates great and looks great. What more can be asked? Oh yeah the small asking price which is a mere $10. That's an amazing price considering you won't be replacing it in a long time. Compared to other cables around that price, it's a steal no doubtfully. The cable I received was only 1ft which would be ideal if you have a power bank and need to charge on the go but if you want one that's longer for everyday uses, there are longer options that are only a few dollars more. I'm glad this product met my expectations and I'd like to thank Anker for providing me with a sample!

I have a very picky device with a very loose charging port which breaks chargers. This is the only one out of 5 or 6 which has survived. I waited over 6 months to make this review just to ensure that nothing would go wrong, and it hasn't. The main issue i've had with cheaper USB wires is that the clips which stick out of the micro USB end are very quickly flattened, this means they wont stay in my picky device. This one has done none of that. I was incredibly overprotective of it for the first few months but the heads been stepped on etc recently and there are still no signs of damage. It's perhaps a little looser than it was at the beginning, but those pins are still visible and it has not crushed in any visible way. There is no fraying around the heads of the wire, which is lovely. Sometimes after being folded the wire can develop 'bends' of some form in it, you just need to untwist them and they're gone - I don't think they're doing any damage. I store the wire folded loosely 2-3 times inside the included slip case.Speaking of which, including the sleeve is a really nice touch. I feel that the fastener in the middle could have been 100% elastic instead of only a portion of it being elastic and the rest plastic, as it would be easier to get it onto the wire without fiddling around and would also hold it better. Overall though, the wire has never fallen out of it and I find it provides a tiny bit more piece of mind when putting it into a bag full of things. Not too much though, honestly, due to the open sides.Overall, best USB wire i've tried. If this one breaks i'll honestly probably be buying the same again.

Seem to be very sturdy cables, have seen them in a video on youtube being used to tow a car !I actually bought these as I bought an Anker powerbank, which turned out to be faulty. After leaving my feedback on that Anker contacted me, and sent me a free upgrade to the bigger powerbank, which apparently was also faulty (not holding charge, and taking a day to charge). The sent me another replacement powerbank and one of their chargers (free) I must admit their customer service is excellent - without even contacting them so they do read these reviews...I have found that with the powerbank, it is actually better using a Juicebitz charger rather than the genuine Anker one.I am still testing the powerbank and thought I would invest in some of their premium cables Powerline+ Micro USB (6ft) to see if there were any improvements, esp with my testing. I will edit in my results in a few weeks. I generally use genuine Samsung cables with my devices, 2 x Samsung Tablets and 4 x Samsung phones and sometimes thay can tend to be a little short so these 6 foot ones are an improvement, but expensive. I think if they focused on the cable and got rid of the crappy leather wallet and expensive boxing, they could reduce the price of these cables that would be awesome. Having an old Samsung S5 I have been used to having USB 3.0 on phones so these cables can be used with them, and also when connecting devices to my USB 3.0 ports on my laptops and pc's mainly for swift data transfer - they seem to work fine, and I don't have any complaints about the cables yet besides the expensive packaging which is a waste.

Anker cables are always the only ones I trust with my devices. I've always used them and find them to be incredibly reliable. The new "PowerLine+" cables are amazing and seem to be lasting a long time and with each iteration of Anker "PowerLine" cables, they seem to be improving in durability, reliability and speed. However, if you think I'm wrong, just look at the materials they are made out of.The Micro USB tip seems to be firm and, unlike that of other brands, does not seem to bend and is staying strong after many uses. And I bought the 6ft one so that I could use it from across the room where my PowerPort is and it works perfectly well with both Anker's own Fast Charging technology (PowerIQ)and Qualcomm's QuickCharge technology. And the carrying case is very helpful for carrying the product around, especially as it comes with built in cable ties.As for the company itself, Anker, are one of the most customer-centric companies I have ever known. Their support is responsive, friendly and efficient and the staff are ALWAYS willing to help out in any way they possibly can. This includes sending out replacement products without any charge should something go wrong (but this newest iteration of the "PowerLine" seems perfect!) within the next few days.Whilst they are not the cheapest of cables if you are looking for quality, good customer support and a cable that will last a lifetime (or will be replaced if it does not). Then buy Anker PowerLine+ cables. They are truly the best.

Having looked around for a while for a usb lead to replace my faulty Samsung one, I decided to purchase this Powerline+ lead from Anker.First impressions. I opened the Amazon packaging and was presented with a neat little box. On opening the box you are presented with the lead carry case wrapped in Anker labelled paper. You then open the carry case (made of a dark grey soft leather type material) to reveal this red Powerline+ lead. You can certainly tell that Anker put a lot of thought into it packaging, it certainly shows.First impressions of the lead itself were very good. It looks and feels very well made and very sturdy with no obvious imperfections. Upon plugging the lead into the bottom of my S6,you can feel the quality, it fit my phone's usb port as snug as a glove. In my opinion, much better than my original Samsung one. The same can be said about plugging into my charger, also a neat and snug fit.As for charging rates, I can confirm that this lead DOES support Samsung's fast charging feature which you would expect from a high quality lead. Also the lead seems to work very well with my high output in car charger.Overall, this lead is of a very good quality and comes well packaged. I certainly expect that this lead will last me years and would recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a usb lead for charging their device.

Definitely a cable worth the amount of money it is offered for, the lengths available are perfect - I have tried other cables that are longer with a noticeable drop in current due to the increased resistance of the cable even though they are rated to provide a certain wattage. To match the usability of the cable, the looks are above average and the finish of the braiding of the cable creates an outstanding sense of quality. The connectors were as you'd expect - very solid with the micro usb male end fitting all of my devices perfectly and provide a secure interface for both charging and syncing.Although this was provided as a sample product for me to test,I use it in conjunction with many of my other Anker products including a battery bank and also quick chargers perfectly and is a much needed replacement for my old BlackBerry Playbook 2A charger.Other cables I have used in the past have come nowhere near as good in terms of quality and visual appearance, the standard non-removable cables of gaming keyboards and mice that have come out do put up a good fight but of course this is to complement them as they are non-competitive. It is great in combination with a power bank and the protective case also is quite good and makes everything so much more neat instead of stuffing it inside of my pockets or bags.

This cable is top class. I needed a replacement after the cable that came with my Samsung Galaxy gave up the ghost, failing to connect and was only charging the phone very slowly. This cable is of very high quality. The cord itself feels very sturdy, and is wrapped in woven cord. I would say that if you have pets, and the common issue of them eating your cables, you will have no problem here, this cable should stand up to the endeavours of the average household cat. The connections themselves feel heavy duty, they don't flop about at the connection between the cable and the usb/micro usb, and give a firm click when connected to my phone. Most impressive is the speed of charging,i would say it has cut my charging time in half, even against my original cable when new.All in all a five star product for very reasonable money, considering that it should last a long time.On a side note, this is the second one of these I purchased. Both arrived on the date promised, however on the first occasion I opened my amazon parcel to find an empty box. Rather disappointed I contacted amazon who refunded me immediately and extended my Prime membership by 30 days as compensation. It's the first time I have had to contact amazon and was impressed with how they handled my complaint.

Okay, so I had previously written a fairly negative review on this cable as my phone was showing up as 'slow charging' despite having the Anker high speed charging wall adapter (which is great). I didn't think contacting Anker would be worthwhile since it's a fairly cheap cable so I cut my loses, wrote a review and dealt with the fact that my phone would forever be slowly charging. Then I received an email from a very nice Anker employee stating that they were sorry the cable didn't meet expectations and if I could send the serial number of the cable they could try their best to resolve the issue. 2 days later i receive a brand new cable through the post which works an absolute treat! The presentation is brilliant, the cable comes with a very nice pouch to ensure the cable is protected whilst travelling or just when put away. The cable itself has a great build quality and feels like it won't break anytime soon! The best part of my whole experience with this company has to be the customer service though which is beyond any i have experienced with any other company. Couldn't do enough to make the wrong right and i will 100% be purchasing from Anker in the near future, thank you!

I originally bought an Anker cable (previous generation) about a year ago. Sadly it seemed it was faulty and broke on a very hot day. Now Anker has sent me a brand new cable after I wrote a slightly critical review. The cable itself is great. It is braided and seems very sturdy. It comes with a holding pouch which is quite nice. I did not reach out to Anker's service as I thought the warranty would be voided as most tech comes with do not exceed temperatures (it was approximately 35 degrees that day). Anker's service instead contacted via email. It did take a while to go through the replacement process (around a week) mostly due to the time zone difference. I am, however, extremely pleased with the product. The cable itself has no "special" features apart from being extremely durable and well designed.Bottom line:I can now not only recommend Anker's product but also themselves as a company. I don't think I have come across better or paralleled support in any other company. Well done Anker! If you have any questions don't hesitate to comment below, I will try to answer them. If you found this review helpful in anyway please press the "yes" or "helpful" button

So I was looking to replace a very old micro USB charging cable which was starting to perish. It turns out that the cables that you get packaged with devices have got a lot shorter over the last few years and all of the spares that I have built up over the years would not reach from the plug to where I needed. In a moment of madness, I bought this product.Am I ever glad I did!It is definitely 6ft long with a standard USB connector at one end and a micro USB connector at the other (good start). The wire is covered with braded nylon and in a dark colour so is not as much of a eyesore as the white cables that tend to come with everything now (thanks for that Apple...).The nylon cover hopefully means that it is less likely to perish or become brittle over time, and may also mean that my cat may not eat it.As an added bonus, the cable comes in a small magnetically closed cable-tidy roll-style pouch with a Velcro strap. While this is of no use to me with the cable that it came with, as this was intended to be permanently fixed, it is now holding a number of cables neatly in my laptop bag. Bonus!

Best Micro USB cable I have ever owned - this is a fairly long cable which allows for more flexibility when you are charging your device. It is a relatively thick cable that is very flexible. This means that it has a low resistance which aids in charging of your phone, my Nexus 6 fast charges using this cable without a problem. The flexibility means that the cable does not kink and is always very smooth. It is braided with a bright red nylon cover which is very hard-wearing and is also eye-catching.The connector is sturdy and so far has not succumbed to the all too common fault of the retention pins of the Micro USB connector failing. If they fail after I write this review, then I will update it accordingly. Also included in the package is a soft felt pouch which neatly stores the cable with a Velcro tie. It is branded with the Anker logo and closes with magnets for convenience. All in all, this product is good value for money and is the highest quality cable I have seen so far, I would recommend this to anyone who needs a new cable.

Anker rightfully has a well earned reputation for speedy and good customer support. After nearly a year of using the cable, for some reason the Micro-USB end became a bit broken, it wouldn't attach as securely anymore with my phone port. A quick email correspondence with their customer service and I've been sent a replacement for which I'm grateful. As for the cable itself, the material certainly has a very durable feel to it. It feels like a sturdy but slim piece of rope and has that consistency about it. The red colour means it does stand out which on the plus side means you have yourself to blame if you trip on it (unless you're colour blind - in which case you get a pass).I haven't really found much use for the felt case it came with but I liked the PowerLine+ build so much I ended up gifting my dad a USB-C version for his birthday. I think it's worth a few pennies extra for the kind of cable that can hang out a car door unbeknownst to you through a rural Belgian field and come out unscathed.

I posted a review of an initial cable which was loose in the microusb port. Anker have since contacted me, apologised for sending a product with a manufacturing fault and sent me a replacement free of charge. This was all done very quickly and efficiently. They also took the faulty manufacturing number for quality control.Their customer support was faultless and friendly. The replacement cable fits very well into the micro usb port and holds well also. The cable is sturdy, comes well packaged and you get a pouch for it. Very happy to own a quality cable now in line with the Anker brand.----------------------old review:I love the Anker brand as it usually means a quality product. However I bought this cable just over a month ago and already the microusb is loose in my galaxy s6 edge+.The product comes very well packaged and you even get a little pouch thing for it, the actual cable seems very sturdy and tangle resistant. This is however irrelevant if the microusb doesn't stay in.

This cable is awesome! First off, the packaging is top notch and gives off a premium feel. The cable comes bundled in a suede-like case with a magnetic closure and includes a velcro strap inside to secure the cable when not in use. I really like the bright red colour, it makes the cable easy to find and identify as your own if someone borrows it and "forgets" to return it, which is liable to happen with such a nice cable. The woven exterior of the cable feels substantial and should prevent abrasion from fraying the cable. Both ends slide nicely into their respective ports, feeling neither too loose or tight. As far as flexibility, the cable is a little more resistant to bending than most other cables, but that's a byproduct of all the features that protect the cable from damage. All in all, I can see this being the last micro USB cable you could ever need, it's that well made. Please note that this cable was provided from the manufacturer for the purpose of this review.
