This hedge trimmer is not for wimps or weaklings. Its not something you could use for hours as it is quite heavy. However its very powerful and will cut though stems of about half an inch thick. It would without doubt remove a finger if you were daft enough not to use it correctly. The sweep attachment is great. No more reaching on top of the hedge to drag cuttings off ( mine is a thorn hedge) I have the big batteries and after a good 30 minutes it was still showing full charge. If you want a cordless hedge trimmer that is as good or better than many corded ones. This is a good buy. Bear in mind it doesnt come with a battery so it would work out a lot more costly if you dont already have Ryobi

I bought this to be able to cut the hedge tops (8 foot high and around 4 foot wide)and whilst the unit is very good I was disappointed that it does not extend at all and whilst it does reach further than my last cutter it is not long enough to reach the hedge top without the use of a ladder which is what I wanted but that is my own fault for not fully understanding what I was buying. It would be great if they did extensions like they do for the petrol cutter but I don't seem to be able to find these (if someone knows of them please let me know) on the hedges I can reach it cuts very well hence the marks I have awarded.

This is a terrific piece of quality kit it’s well balanced and very efficient at cutting, I have had petrol and cable trimmers in the past which are no match for this. Get rid of your standard trimmer and buy this, the fast charge battery lasts longer than I expected. Five star product.

I am very pleased with this product. I love the long reach and adjustable head I use a 5ah battery and even after using it for 45 minutes approximately not much battery power was used. Very good product

Although I m happy with Robinson tools I am not amused that there was NO mention that the item does NOT come with a battery ggggrrrrr

Easy to get assembled and get going on the unwanted overgrowth, cleared in no time. Very easy and safe to use.

With having only one battery for all Ryobi portable tools why use any other...brilliant idea...
