Summary: A practical and easy to use solution which provides a professional edging finish to grass and hedges. In the Package: The Bosch wireless edging shear comes in a soft shell carry case which offers good storage and protection. Two blades accompany the shear: one for lawn edging and the other for use on hedges. A mains charger is included along with a set of instructions and warranty information.Design: The shear is compact and lightweight with a multi click system to swap blades quickly and easily. The handle has a textured rubberised coating which assists in keeping a stable grip of the device. The power button is located under the handle and the safety switch is adjacently placed on the handle.Blades can be interchanged via a multi click system.Using the Edging Shear: The device itself is very easy to use - simply hold the safety switch and press and hold the power button to operate the shear.Blades move rapidly and with precision as the shear is moved in a straight line across grass edging or along shrubs and hedges to deliver a professional finish.A multi click system makes changing blades simple and without any fuss.It would have been beneficial to have a "lock" function for the power button once pressed so that the handle could be gripped a little lighter as any relaxation of your grip results in the device switching off. Also, the charging port is located by the bottom end of the handle which can be a little awkward to connect. The shear is fully charged about 3 hours from flat and I have not needed to recharge it since it's first charge a couple of months ago. Conclusion: The Bosch wireless edging shear is a fantastic product which delivers truly professional looking finishing to grass edging and makes trimming hedges easy. Aside from a couple of minor design flaws i.e. no lock button and the location of the charging port, this is a magnificent tool.

Used for first time today. Very impressed. The Amazon reviews helped me a lot before I decided to purchase, so thank you for that. I was getting fed up edging my lawn up to the fence and cutting back new bush growth with a hand shear and getting blisters. I saw this multi tool and decided to purchase. I was a little worried it wouldn't be man enough for the job, but for me it is perfect. I will add some photos of my purchase and the bush it cut so well.It arrived partially charged. It takes three hours to fully charge but was done in two so it must have been about 30% charged when it arrived. It is great edging the lawn up to the fence. Works a treat. The grass shear is very sharp and I wasn't quite careful enough and nipped my thumb whilst holding the grass up to cut it. Cuts quickly and the grass I cut was still pretty wet. I had to be careful not to cut it too short.Using the shrub shear was even more of a delight. It's a great size for sweeping across the new 6 to 10 inch growth. It easily cuts 2 to 5 mm diameter shrub (see customer photos). It starts to double strike for thicker than this. The thickest I cut was about 8 mm but it struggled. The maximum gap between the blades is 9mm, so it certainly won't cut thicker than this.I only used it for about 20 mins and it was probably only on for 15 mins of that, so I can't verify the claimed 50 mins duration on a full charge. All in all a great purchase.

This machine is ideal for its intended purpose which is light trimming such as box hedging where normal power cutters are too clumsy. There is a useful telescopic handle made by Bosch for this product. I ordered this attachment a few days later but unfortunately when it arrived it clearly did not fit although it was labelled for Bosch isio and from the web site would appear to have been suitable. Amazon were very helpful and contacted Bosch for me as it was not clear to me or Amazon why the handle also labelled "isio" was incompatible. On establishing the correct handle Amazon efficiently arranged exchange for the correct handle. The combination of this handle with the grass shears attachment on the Bosch isio works very well and I am now delighted with it as it is comfortable to hold and provides precision cutting. Future purchasers need to carefully establish the correct handle for the machine when ordering this optional extra. The cordless shears and optional long handle appear to be well made and up to the expected Bosch standard. Just remember though that this item is not a substitute for the usual heavy powered shears for the annual battle with the laurel hedge. Just keep it for the light decorative work on the gentler species and trimming the lawn edges.

I read a lot of reviews before buying this Bosch trimmer, and I was persuaded by the generous write-ups to give it a try. This powerful little beast is the best garden gadget I have bought for years!! Easily chomps through grass/weeds etc to keep the edges nice and tidy, right up to walls, and round a couple of old sinks I have set into my grass... no problem. I also have a steep sloping bank which is grassed, approximately 12' long and 2' deep, so not huge, this awesome little nibbler saves me dragging the strimmer out, I just love it. The hedge trimmer attachment is great for keeping next doors jasmine at bay, and will mince the cuttings up into small enough bits that I can just shove them back over the fence and they just disappear into the hedge,no messing! Comes in a neat storage case, I keep mine indoors so I can grab it if I have ten mins in the morning for a quick trim before work. Hubby, who has tools coming out of his ears is actually a bit jealous of this cordless wonder, remembering my smug pleasure each time he is wrestling with electric leads! Battery life is good too, lasts a good session before needing to re-charge. I can't think of a single reason not to highly recommend this.... if you don't get one you are missing out!!

It’s the time of year that my garden was becoming rather rowdy; box hedges, bushes and lawn were all getting out of control.ALong came the bosch Isio. It i supplied in a sturdy storage case and you get the main unit with integral battery, hedge trimmer attachment, grass trimmer attachment and charger. It came partially charged so immediately got to work on a particularly unkempt box hedge. I was immediately impressed at how neatly and easily this coped with the task. On a much coarser bush, the trimmer easily handled thin twigs & branches up to 5-6mm thick. Thicker than that the trimmer head ‘slips’ to prevent damage. After around 2 hours of usage the battery was drained.Considering it was only partially charged I was very impressed.I’ve not used the grass trimmer attachment as I see absolutely no use for it.My 60+ year old mother found this so easy to use that she proceeded to slash n’burn my entire garden! This highlighted how functional & easy to use this gizmo is.In summary, if you’re after an easy to use garden trimmer, perhaps especially suitable for the elderly this is absolutely top-notch. Highly recommended even at this price.

I had been wanting something like this that could make pruning more manageable and when it came up on "Prime Day" I decided to take the plunge. This was a lot cheaper that other related hedge pruners which is a big plus; along with a more compact design it made it perfect for either myself or my wife to use. When it arrived I was shocked by how small it was, I was expecting something twice the size. I must say that at that point I was a little concerned by how something so small would be able to prune the hedges I needed to prune. After charging I took it out for a whirl. I'm glad to say it exceeded my expectations and it was able to cut everything I put in its path and it wasn't heavy at all which meant I managed to get the whole garden done in one go!I even had time to get a few hard to reach areas of my law a quick clipping with the interchangeable head. And as a bonus it is now sitting in its carry case ready for round two in a couple of weeks.I would wholeheartedly recommend these pruners for light to medium usage. Another great product from Bosch.

New home. Derelict garden. One mature buxus. Passion for plant propagation... Ten years on it seemed like a good idea to plant in borders what I couldn't use or give away. Five years later: total chaos! In a little over an hour I have been able to put into some shape six very overgrown buxus. The longer shears gets the big sweeps (like a hairdressers tool for starting off a No 3) the small shears address the 'finesse' off cutting (like the shears a hairdresser will use to clean up the neck. The tool also gave a good haircut to overgrown: choisya ternata; pierris; rhododendron and a few others I can't remember the name of...Delighted with my purchase and the Chelsea Award was well deserved. It is the tiny brother of the BIG hedge trimmers and just what I wanted. One gripe... the On/ off clip is fiddly and a bit of a nuisance until you get used to it but good as a safety measure. Oh and I am NOT a hairdresser but I am going to have some good looking topiary in the years to come!

This is the perfect trimmer for lawn edges in a small to medium garden. I use it without the extension arm but may purchase one in the future and if you have a large garden it would be necessary. I use the small hedge trim attachment for my box and other small bushes in tubs that need a bit of trimming and the edge cutters for a neat finish on my small lawns. I also have one of those large twisted fir trees that needs regular shaping and it’s impossible with electric hedge trimmers this makes it easy.I bought when there was an offer on and I think it’s well worth the outlay to simplify a difficult chore by any other means. You can often use It instead if getting out the large hedge trimmers but obviously it will not tackle large hedge borders ....it’s not designed for that I guess and for lots of people it’s light enough to handle when they might struggle with the heavier garden equipment. So in summary it does small jobs well and is light and efficient!

This is a great little tool and so useful around the garden. Both the grass and shrub cutter work really well. The reason I have dropped this a star is that the charger is an absolute nightmare to get in and out - especially out. It is a small black, flat, plastic plug that goes into the back of the tool and there is absolutely no grip whatsoever on it. Some people may have to tug on the cord in desperation and that is soon going to come away. I have tried every which way to do it but it is very difficult and I would say may be impossible for people with arthritis in their fingers or other hand problems. The other problem is getting the cutting pieces onto the tool. That again requires quite a lot of strength to squeeze the two lugs whilst attaching and detaching the accessories. It is a shame that Bosch haven't given more thought to the ergonomics as the machine itself is a handy little tool.

The first thing to mention, and other reviewers have mentioned it too : these are smaller than you think! They are designed to be held in one hand, and the main grip is about the size of a telephone handset from the 1970s. The advantages of this are that they are light, easy to manoeuvre and can get into small areas easily. Obviously this means that they are not suitable for large jobs. If you buy them for trimming a shrub or bush, shaping a small hedge, cutting grass along the edges of a lawn - they are perfect. Anything larger, you'll need a different tool. The battery life is really good and charges relatively quickly. You do need to keep your finger on the trigger in order to keep the shears running,so you might get a slightly stiff finger by the time you've finished. The blades are easy to clean, and the whole thing comes in a useful storage box. Overall I am really impressed.

This review is based upon actual use.Grass: These are good for a small to medium sized (50' x 50') garden lawn edges, with light well behaved grass. Battery will last a 15 minute trim task. Heavier unrully grass may be more taxing on battery life, but it can still cope with the thicker shoots - just.Hedges etc: Again, these are for small tasks, for the odd small hedge or light bush requiring a quck top or side tidy up job. Not a full hedge cut. Most people would use a heavier trimmer for that though. The re-charge is quite long but if you get into a habbit of re-charging as soon as you have ended your work, then it'll be ready for the next light job later in the week.Only niggle for me was the start toggle switch which,if you released your grip slightly, would stop the power. This could be an issue if you are elderly, with a weak hand grip.

I was loving this! Bought on the deal for £38Battery lasted well. Easy to clip and shape small bushes and dig out rootsWas fast becoming my favourite garden gadget. Then one day I heard a horrid noise. Had been trimming, pulling and decluttering the garden. Attacked the pile with the mower to mulch. And what was under the pile! Very sad to lose these. The blades survived but the unit itself was destroyed. My own fault.Waiting for another deal day. Can't think it's worth £50-70 (price ranges) maybe £40 at most considering I have to buy another. It is very lightweight how robust it is I can't say. It won't last against a mower for sure.I Had the telescopic handle delivered and that was broken onarrival so not sure it would be heavy enough anyway to use with the extenderIt was a fab little unit. Would get again if it's a reasonable price

I read a lot of the reviews on here before I took the plunge to buy this and I'm so pleased I went ahead and got it. It has been a resounding success. Now historically i didn't really like gardening - but now I've got this magic little tool there's no stopping me. It trims small hedges and shrubs in minutes. I used to use secateurs which was time consuming and boring. Now I speed my way through trimming jobs. The charge is quite good and it's not heavy at all. To start with it was a bit awkward because you have to press two buttons at the same time to operate it but I very quickly got used to that - and it's a good safety measure. My husband thinks it's great because I'm saving him lots of work.To be honest I'm secretly quite enjoying myself out there now. I really recommend this little gadget. Happy trimming !

Purchased this in the recent Amazon day deal after looking for something to manage my gradd edges and the grass around my stepping stones. After previously using edgeing shears and scissors I was torn between a strimmer or this trimmer.Am so pleased I chose this, I have used this to trim the edges of the grass and round the slabs, which all in all look less than an hour. The cutter slides through the grass leaving a defined edge, there was no snagging and my hands did not hurt as they have done with my previous method.A quick recharge over lunch and then it's ready to go again, trimming some small topiary bushes. Great item which saves times and makes the job so easy.Although it's a good tool, not sure I would pay full RRP, so keep your eye out for deals and discounts.

I seem to becoming a Bosch fan boy in the way that some are regarding Apple products. This has happened by stealth not design! I noticed on receipt of the Shrub/Grass clippers that my garage is full of powered Bosch hand tools and the kitchen is also stacked with small Bosch appliances. To this product... I've tried it once on lawn edges and it worked very well indeed once I had worked out the best techniques to achieve the desired effect. I've also had a few trial hacks at a few shrubs and again it's easy to use with good results. It's too early to write a definitive review but based on the quality reliability and suitability for purpose of other Bosch products I expect all to be well.I got this as a Deal of the Day purchase so paid half price, so very, very good value .
