Came this morning early doors and well packaged, out the box it's very handsome and you can feel its a quality item, I've used microplane before as a chef years ago and after hyping it in my head for over a year it still not only met but exceeded a very soft cheese grated effortlessly a regular cheddar easily a hard cheese effortlessly and very easy to clean. Early review but already blown away! As for anyone worried about the handle I'm used to wood and its what attracted me to this grater just use a food grade mineral oil on it when you get it and wash right after use rince off and then wipe the handle dry and you'll never have a problem

Sturdy and well designed grater, a bit larger than what the images show. Feels like is gonna last for a long time which is fair considering you pay extra for something of higher quality, regardless of the wooden handle which is not important/relevant to me as it is for some people. The important thing for me is how it does its job and cuts. I don't lose my head around unnecessary things. If with time I don't like the handle I'll just remove it by pushing it towards the grater. Et voilà

I'm new to jump on the Microplane hype, and I regret not buying before. This guy makes my parmesan such a beautiful consistency for pasta, grates all my spices and works wonders with a clove of garlic! I decided to get this master series rather than a cheaper model as I thorght it would be beautifully constructed and I was not wrong, the walnut wood is comfortable in the hand and absoluetly stunning and i'm sure will look great in any kitchen!

I had been eyeing this master series for sometime and I finally purchased one - the quality and build behind this product is top notch. It is much heavier and seems much more durable than the standard line of Microplanes. I love the wooden handle and as always, Microplane's graters are so super sharp. I think it is most definitely worth the extra $ for the master series.

I can’t help but jump on the bandwagon and rave about this grater. A £30 grater is obviously absurd, but my goodness if this doesn’t make me want the whole set! The ease/speed difference compared to a normal grater is massive, and the quality is top notch. The wood was a little rough for my liking, but a quick rub with some micro-mesh sorted it out.

One of the best, sharpest and easy to clean graters/micro planes inhave ever owned or even used.Cheeses such as parmesan just glide through this, it even does garlic, ginger etc.Due to the well cut teeth, cleaning it is easy too.Lovely walnut handle, just use some food grade mineral oil every now and then to keep it looking fresh.

Incredibly sharp. Fantastic for garlic and Parmesan , need to find more uses for it though. Wooden handle has shrunk a bit after a few washes (really only wash in the sink) would get plastic handled version in future or perhaps their box grater as it has better versatility.

Absolutely superbBought this as a present, would not normally spent £25 on a grater, and thought it couldn't live up to the price. But it is incredibly sharp, grates parmesan into a fine fluff, and looks sufficiently stylish

Great product. Super sharp, durable and very very good quality. As you would expect from Microplane. I have used Microplane graters for about 10 years now and nothing else is as good as this.

Buying this made me realise what I've missing for years using a box grater. This is some next level grating. My new favourite bit of kitchen kit. Totally worth the money.

I was given the fine version of this grater as a present and was so impressed that I had to buy the course option as well.So easy to use and blade very sharp.

I would not expect anything else from a Microplate zester. Easy to use, very sharp, and beautiful with the walnut handle. Perfect partner in the Kitchen.

Microplanes have always been good, but this design is so much sturdier than the plastic handled one, it’s quite a bit more expensive but it’s worth it!
