This could be the holy grail of graters for me, its the third that I've used in recent weeks. This one is a keeper! IT is sturdy in the hand and wide enough to grate lemons and oranges. The zest melts away such is the sharpness of the blade. The zest produced is a little on the fine side but I use it primarily to flavour than to garnish so that's fine with me.Its easy to wash and the blade guard is a terrific bonus to keep oneself safe!A lovely item that I would wholeheartedly recommend!

Bought as a gift and the loved it! They wanted a handheld grater that wasn’t too heavy but also not the size of a tiny zester.It’s been sharp so makes light work of grating cheese but you may want to get the additional attachment to hold the food in place if you’re not wanting to risk cutting yourself. It’s surviving being put in the dishwasher regularly so it means you don’t have to worry about washing it up!Definitely recommend getting it if you’re considering it!!

The Microplane branded graters are the only ones I buy. They last for years and they barely make it back in the draw thanks to their versatility. I have had a could over the years and it has never been the plane surface that has failed, typically it is the body or handle. That said, they last a very long time before you even need to consider replacing them.

Overall this is amazing - it’s so easy for Parmesan and zesting! It’s a big difference from our old grater which turned out to be pretty blunt e.g. you have to be wary with zesting because it’s comes off so quickly so you need to avoid the pith. It didn’t come with a cover for the blade which would’ve good good for storage.

I bought this after my son watched "Jamie and Jimmy's Friday Night Food Fest" and saw them using something similar !!!!! He is so pleased with it - it has a good grip handle, the plane itself is not sharp - and he can use it easily (he has very small hands) I have grated lemon zest and garlic too - does a brilliant job

I had to replace my original Microplane grater due to the plastic surround breaking up. I had had it since they were first introduced years ago. Just wondering if this one isn’t just a little bit finer than the original. Ok on hard Italian cheese but not gruyère .

I've wanted one for ages, but the cost deterred me. I finally decided to buy it - I think it is cost effective - I have used it to grate Parmesan cheese, and as it grates so finely and quickly I think you will use less. Absolutely brilliant.

Brilliant little kitchen gadget, grates garlic, ginger, chocolate, cheese superfine - a little goes a long way with this!! One word of warning.....mind your fingers! Much better than the old one it replaced, wish I'd bought one years ago!

This really works, unlike the cheap knock offs on other sites which shread and make your feet bleed! Leaves feet supple and ready for moisturising (even if you started with thick, hard, cracked skin). Definitely worth the money.

I am a chef and have use many versions of the micro plane and nothing compares to the real thing. It may cost a little extra than one your local Asda but trust me when I say you won't find a better one cheaper than this.

Brilliant! Perfect for zesting or grating garlic or ginger.Very sharp but does come with a guard for when it’s in the drawer.I’ve had a few different brands over the years but this is by far the best.

Every kitchen should have a microplane! A very sharp grater but incredibly efficient and I wouldn't be without one in the kitchen. It's more expensive than other graters, but believe me, it's worth it!

Having used the Professional range for some years we needed a sharp new grater. I did think this would be of inferior quality but I think it's just fine. Fits in the draw easier too.

This is a replacement product for the last microplane where the handle snapped (after 5 years, I may add!). Brilliant grater for lemon, garlic, chocolate, stays sharp for years!!!!

Very good - a bit expensive, but does an excellent job as a fine grater - especially good for zesting citrus fruits.Comes with protective cover; good solid handle; easy to clean.
