This thing is great. Needs very little effort to grate any thing thrown at it.The thing is very big and tall so make sure you have a deep drawer or counter space to store it. The protective sleeve is a good idea especially if you have small inquisitive hands touching everything.The grater itself is very sharp and makes grating hard food a breeze.The grating surfaces do appear a bit thin and flexible compared to my previous grater but this thing is far better and the old graters went straight in the bin after using this.The slide out 'drawer' has limited use as does the measuring scale, i am not really sure if these were anything more than a gimmick for marketing, but if u have a use for them!Be warned,

Excellent grater and I find, useful having all my microplane graters in one. I didn't need the overall safety cover but it is a thoughtful addition. I do like the sliding cover at the bottom that saves up all the gratings to dump into one convenient place as required.

A good grater BUT the little tray that holds your grated stuff is Very hard to remove. Only niggle really
