I have banana hallux of my right big toe due to mild, but unrelenting gout since I was 22. This means that my toe turns up at the end.These shoes fit like a dream... except my toenail of the right great toe hit the edge of the rubber. I'd have ended up with nail trauma. So incredibly disappointing. I guess having that toe guard is good for runners, but for this woman who needs shoes that don't have stitching across the sesamoid joint and who needs zero drop with a decent amount of sole due to Morton's neuroma, having that bit of rubber puts one more pair of shoes outside my reach.Heartbroken because without that huge chunk of rubber,

I've ripped the toebox of a Vapor Glove 2 and (2) Vapor Glove 3's because they're not durable enough. The leather/suede construction seems to help this issue, but I haven't worn them very long.Still the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned.Olive color is presentable for casual occasions and business meetings, so you can be comfy without looking too "sporty" or flashy with the bright cloth versions.These are probably more water resistant than the cloth versions, but they also trap sweat more as well.Couldn't go without a pair, hope they last much longer than the cloth versions, in which case they'd be perfect for me and well worth the extra price.

I wear a men’s 11 but these shoes run a half size too large so I returned them. The size 10.5 replacements fit perfectly well when worn with medium or heavy-weight socks. The shoes seem well made, they are ultralight as described so don’t get them if you like a padded insole, they are grippy with a well designed Vibram outsole and work equally well for me as either light hiking or trail running shoes. As others have noted the laces are short, I think they should have been about 2 inches longer. I like these shoes but the wrong sizing and short laces earn them my rating of 4 instead of 5 stars

I've been wearing barefoot shoes almost exclusively for years now. After Merrell discontinued their 'Bracken' model there had been a distinct lack of barefoot shoes in non-flashy colors. I'm very glad to see them making 'work appropriate' barefoot shoes again.These fit as advertised and are very well made. As you'd expect there isn't a ton of arch support or heel lift, but that's just what barefoot shoes are. The soles are nice and grippy on any surface but plastic (seriously, don't wear these on a boat or you'll slip everywhere). Now hopefully Merrell will keep making these for some time

I am wearing these shoes every day and I can feel the difference already. I am using muscles I haven't used in quite some time being used to always wearing shoes with heels. It's really nice to feel the ground under my feet again and have the flexibility in the sole. My toes are starting to relax as they have finally enough space and are not cramping anymore. Really happy with my choice. I don't understand some of the other reviews about lack of arch support and too much space for the toes because that's the whole purpose of a barefoot shoe.

I live in these shoes. They are well made as I’ve had them nearly a year and they are still going strong! Wear them for work, gym and running. They are so comfortable and my bunion and hammer toes have corrected themselves now my feet are allowed to move functionally. Also alleviates knee and hip problems. I find it hard to wear conventional shoes again as I like to be able to move my toes! Our feet are our sensors and all our other joints are affected by how our feet move. Barefoot shoes can also correct fallen arches and plantar fasciitis

I have been wearing barefoot shoes for over 10yrs now mainly vibram five fingers and have to say I have been missing out on merrelle’s barefoot shoes. The toe box is wide to not scrunch your toes like other barefoot shoes.I was hesitant on what size I should get even though I have been buying barefoot shoes for a while and know my perfect size. These Tun true to size and the other reviews that said they don’t most likely have never worn barefoot shoes.I am theses as my rotating shoe along with my five fingers.

Great pair of shoes. Very happy that they’re leather and not made of a thin material (like my other blue ones). I’m very happy with the vapour range. The black with black sole is fantastic as I was hoping to wear them for work. The others in range are more fitting for the beach.What is interesting to know is these seem to run to size whereas usually when I buy Merrells I have to go up a size.Very happy. And from this vendor they where quick and reasonably priced. Will definitely use them again.

I’m no runner but I like “barefoot” shoes. These in particular feel high quality and I really like that they are at least partially unlined leather. I think relatively thin leather is very moisture wicking and cooling. These don’t feel floppy like the knock-off TSLA version I got for mowing the lawn. Very grippy sole too on anything I’ve encountered yet. Looks good, although it should be said that suede definitely soaks up liquids whether it be pond water or oil.

My pair of Vapor Glove 3 shoes lasted me for 300 miles. Of that I would say 90 miles were country lanes and what could be considered “trails”. All in all I would say a good performance, although I wished the sole had lasted longer.Other than that, this shoe is well made and fits true to size. I would measure the foot rather than going by UK size numbers.One slightly annoying thing was a flopping sound of the shoes for the first 20 miles or so.

I became a fan of Merrell after accidentally buying a pair of their shoes because they were cheap, and then noticing how much more comfortable they were than any other shoes I'd worn. Thus started my love affair with zero drop, barefoot and all that. I bought these as casual shoes (I already have Merrell running shoes) because they look great and I'm partial to leather sneakers. I love these. They feel awesome and look (I got the blue slate ones).

This is my first pair of barefoot shoes, and they do not disappoint. It's like walking around in a pair of slippers, enough of a rubber sole to protect your feet but thin enough to fully feel everything that is happening on the surface you are walking on. The upper is soft and flexible and they required 0 break in time unlike most footware. Will definitely order again and this has made me want to stay with the barefoot style footware from now on.

I normally wear a 14 wide, but for these I had to buy a 15's, I actually tried a pair of 14's first, and they were honestly almost wide enough, but they were actually too short. So I returned them and got a pair of 15's and they are perfect. They feel like I'm wearing thick socks on my feet, which is exactly what I wanted, I don't like big bulky shoes on my feets, and I don't like a lot of drop and padding.Great shoes and they look great too!

Love this shoe - going to get another pair in black. Have always liked the look, fit and feel of Merrell Barefoot type sneakers, and they used to have a leather model that had smooth leather you could polish - favorite shoe of all time. This is a close 2nd - with a felt type feel rather than smooth. Like all real leather forms to your foot and gets better and better overtime. Also dramatically outlasts other shoe materials in my experience!

I am BIG into barefoot walking as shoes are just crippling for movement of your feet. Thee limited activity eventually causes atrophy for your muscles, and as the whole body is connected, it also causes back pain. These shoes help me feel the ground and work more of my whole body. They are also good looking enough to wear in every situation. Barefoot is still my preferred way to go, if I need to wear shoes, these are the ones I grab.
