It’s difficult to buy walking shoes during coronavirus restrictions. If I’d been able to visit a shop I would probably have tried on half a dozen pairs before making a decision. You can’t do that easily online. It’s too expensive to order several pairs at once and takes too long to return a pair, get your refund, and order another pair. These were the third pair of shoes I tried from online and I decided to settle for them as they were the most comfortable to date. I was in desperate need of some really waterproof footwear for dog-walking on wet and muddy rural tracks and couldn’t wait to try any more. In a shop,I’d have tried a half size smaller and also a slightly higher shoe but I decided to buy these as it was getting wetter and wetter underfoot and couldn’t do without a pair any longer. They are nice and wide at the toe, which I like. Have worn them each day for a week so can vouch for them being waterproof and comfortable. I only gave them 4 stars because I was disappointed in the colour choice. I don’t like grey or pale blue and would never normally wear grey things. They aren’t very feminine colours. Would much have preferred brown, rust, beige etc.

Was given shoes as a present over a week ago, here are my findings so far:- I took a gamble, and ordered half a size larger than normal (12.5UK instead of 12UK), and ignored the other reviews saying order at least a whole size bigger. Half a size bigger turned out to be perfect for me, however I only waer normal socks, not big thick walking socks. If you wear the latter maybe order a whole size bigger?- These were purchased when they were around £65 direct from Amazon. I have since seen the price rise up to around £100. Shop around as a few places do them for a lot less than RRP.- Not had a chance to test the gore-tex waterproof efficiency, however my feet have been relatively cool with less foot sweating compared to other walking shoes.- For me, these were comfy straight out the box. Took a little while getting used to the chunkier tread in the soles (maybe a bit stiff to start with), but that was me coming from wearing trainers all the time.

I ordered these shoes on 10 Jan 2020 and they arrived (Australia) on 28 Jan. Not bad for overseas postage! They are the real deal. I ordered them to replace some hiking boots which are a fraction too small. I’ll be hiking two tracks in New Zealand in March and so wanted decent replacements but opted for hiking shoes instead of boots. I love them! I haven’t had the opportunity to wear them with a weighted pack yet but so far they are are very comfortable! I’m a US women’s size 11 and ordered the EU 42.5 and they fit really well. With thickish socks they’ll be perfect :) I’ve never owned Merrell’s. Just went off a lot of recommendations from friends who are outdoorsy. The price advertised is exceptional (AUD3)as on sale here In Western Australia, I couldn’t find any below AUD0. Even with extra for postage of course, it was an excellent buy! I’ll certainly be ordering more from Trekkinn, cheers guys!!

Use for dog walking on road and cross country. Super comfortable from day 1.I bought half a size up so I could wear thick socks and they were just right, but also felt fine with thin socks too.I sprayed well with nikwax waterproofing spray before using them and they kept my feet perfectly dry...even when I hosed them down while still wearing them after a particularly muddy walk !!! I was impressed to say the least.Having very wide feet I have tried several different types of boots in the shops and online and even returned a pair of Miendles at twice the price.(narrow and uncomfortable). I had almost given up until I found these. Will probably buy a second pair.I can’t recommend these boots enough!

I’d been struggling with my Solomon walking boots as were too narrow at the toes so causing discomfort. I read quite a few reviews on these boots and hoped that they were correct re:width. The first impression when I tried them on was one of relief - they certainly felt wider! My first walk was 2 miles and I’ve since had them on for a 5+ mile walk and they are brilliant. Comfy, roomy and they keep my feet dry. I would highly recommend these. I bought a half size up initially but they had to go back as they were too big. When my normal size 5 arrived they were a perfect fit. I’ve actually seen myself come back from a long walk and not take them off immediately!! This is a first for me.Love them,

Wonderful to find a ladies’ walking boot that comes in a size 8.5. I don’t normally buy shoes without trying them on first but I risked it with these, and pleased I did. On taking them out of the box they seemed rather clunky but have quickly got used to that.....they are described as a boot and not a shoe, after all. They are true to length but fairly wide: I have narrow feet. However, I inserted a half inner sole under the existing inner sole, and with thickish walking socks they are a comfy fit. I find they rub a bit on the heels but this is improving each time I wear them. They do seem to be waterproof but just to make sure, I sprayed them with an appropriate product. Job done!

Ordered my new pair of Merrell Moab 2 Gortex on 4th Feb 2020 and received them 11th Feb 2020. That was a great surprise as estimated delivery date was 14th or 17th Feb. Well done Trekkinn. I bought my first pair of Merrell shoes way back in 2011 when I was in Europe and was going hiking up and around some spectacular mountains and the shoes I had just didn't cut it. I was so very pleased with the choice I made of buying Merrell with Gortex and Vibram sole that I would never look at any other type of shoe as they truly are waterproof, breathable and so very comfy (other brands just do not feel right). Looking forward to lots more hiking. Keep on Trekkinn.

I am really happy to recommend these Hiking boots. I wore them straight away for a twenty mile hike and my feet were absolutely so comfy and supported. No need to break these boots in, by the end of the hike my feet were feeling fantastic, with no issues at all. I bought these on the recommendations of women that had bought them, as they all said they were great boots, and I wasn't disappointed. There is plenty room width ways too, so no crushed toes. My feet are fairly slim, but thicker socks were just perfect with them. It was minus 4 on that hike, and my feet were really warm and comfy. Can't recommend them enough.

I was dubious about buying shoes online as I have wide feet and find it difficult to find comfortable shoes. I bought these on recommendation from a friend, and was not disappointed. I bought same size as my normal shoes. They arrived the next day, and were comfortable from the first moment worn. They have stood up to mud and swampy conditions and the Goretex finish means that the water and mud just rolls off the uppers. My feet have stayed dry but I have not tried them in deeper water. They are also very light weight for walking shoes. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I’ve always been suspicious of hiking boots having owned a Salomon pair which were unbelievably painful due to the high arches in my foot. So until now I’ve used my converse for walking - with the inevitable plateau on distance because they are not designed for it and cause foot and ankle pain on long distances. Since purchasing these boots I feel my inner hiker has been freed - I have never felt such comfort and it’s as if the boots themselves adapt to rugged terrain rather than my body having to. Such a great purchase and they really are the mother of all boots!

Bought these for my wife - whose previous pair of the same shoe had finally reached the end of their serviceable life. They arrived well within the stated delivery time frame and were exactly the shoes we expected - at a good price too!We don't know of a better shoe so, until we do these will be sufficient. They are comfortable, water-resistant (until the goretex membrane fails) and based on the previous shoe performance give a good life expectancy (3 - 4 years of regular countryside walking - most days of the week, except during the worst of weathers.)jontyc

I absolutely love these walking shoes. I ordered a half size up and they are so comfortable. My previous walking shoes always made my legs ache after a long walk, but this problem has disappeared completely, just due to different shoes. I have quite wide feet, and slightly dropped arches. These shoes have good arch support and plenty of space around the toes to spread out in comfort. So far, they are waterproof. I can’t recommend them enough and I am enjoying going out for long walks now I have comfort. Even my husband noticed that I am walking a bit faster!

I don't like to order shoes online, because they frequently don't fit - but these fit just fine (size 7). It helped that I already had a pair of Merrell Moab hiking shoes that were the same size. I wouldn't say, like some others, that these shoes don't need breaking in - they do. I think all Merrell hiking shoes start off a bit stiff but break in well - and so far, I have been happy with the way these feel. The toe box is pretty roomy but I like that in a hiking shoe. Lots of good support, which I must have in dealing with ongoing plantar fasciitis issues.

Shopped a lot and even tried them on in the store before I found them at Trekkinn for the best price around. Their true to size and very comfortable right out of the box. I would suggest a little breaking in with some good wool socks before long hikes, as the folds on either side of the tongue of the shoe are a little stiff at first and will rub the top of your foot. Definitely waterproof right out of the box though. We get heavy dew in the monrings and my shoes are never wet--but my socks ABOVE my shoes are!

I am very happy with this shoe. I usually buy the Merrell Siren Sport GTX but couldn't get them in my size so assumed they are being phased out.I purchased this shoe for walking and am overjoyed with the immediate comfort and thickness of the sole. They are slightly larger than the Siren Sport and I feel I could have got away with a size 6 instead of 6.5 however once I get my walking and liner socks on they will be perfect I am sure. I have only worn them a couple of times with thin cotton socks.
