I bought a pair of these several months ago, and I have worn them as work boots (I work outside a lot) and also as leisure boots. They have seen a lot of punishment ( Worn during the Winter 2014 Fan Dance Race in Brecon Wales) and I can absolutely say that they are the best boots I've owned. The support around the ankle is solid, with the leather being thick and from a premium source. A good boot for the British Winter, Autumn and Spring in any outdoor context. Meindl well done, I will definitely get a replacement pair when these are dead (which won't be for a long time.) PS I have wide feet and a slightly over pronating gait

I usually wear 6.5 but these shoes were on the small side and didn't feel very comfortable. I had tried on the Activo gtx 6.5 in a shop and they felt heavenly but I didn't like their looks. I wanted something more subtle.

The shoes look good and were comfortable straight out of the box - I love them!
