A decent Potter set from one of the most iconic scenes from the Potter saga. The Tom Riddle grave is somewhat interesting but not a very challenging built. If you ask me, the most unique feature of this set is probably the fact that Lego produced a grave - quite macabre given the company’s restraint on such matters. The main attraction are the figures, baby Voldemort (note I’m just openly mentioning his name here), a Deatheater, Peter Pettigrew and Harry, who is in the monitory and of which we already had a few versions. Given the range of characters included this set is probably most satisfying for play and the rising Voldemort feature is particularly interesting. And as in the movie,Harry can be held captive by the statue on the grave. But this 184 piece set it is less appealing from a construction point of view. Moreover.. .by now our households literally creaks from an excessive amount of Lego sets. These are great quality toys that the whole family can enjoy for play, display and most of all the construction phase. But we already have too many sets from too many different lines; Lego Disney, Elves, Friends, Ninjago, Jurassic park.. and more recently Star Wars. Not to mention the extensive modular houses oh .. and train sets. I’m mentioning this as I wasn’t looking to extend the range of lines even further. Our oldest daughter however has a Potter obsession and has been asking for these Lego themed Potter sets.I was a bit reluctant as a.) she has other interests than Lego and frankly has built probably too much along with me in the past. So she is actually quite hard pushed to complete a Lego project set by herself these days, they remain there waiting for weeks on the table top to be completed. And once completed, she doesn’t play with it much, if at all. Quite unappreciative. b.) I don’t think Harry Potter as a theme lends itself very well for Lego. A graveyard, a dragon, a carriage.. all items we had several times in other lines and there is a lack of spectacular and realistic creations such as the spaceships in the Star Wars line or the Mechs in the Ninjago line.So I’m not such a fan of these Harry Potter sets, and Lego might not be either given that there is only a small range that seems to be there more to satisfy Potter fan than keen Lego builders. Anyway my fears regarding my daughter’s interest were confirmed. The build wasn’t very demanding for her. But the progress was once more agonizingly slow. So we might soon recycle her few Potter Lego sets on auction sites.

This kit must have perhaps the most macabre piece of Lego ever made, a tiny half formed Voldemort piece! So perhaps not the best choice for small children, as scene from the movie is a little disturbing, but for adults liking darker things probably a good choice. I imagine that Voldemort piece will be hugely collectible in future. It comes with a tiny half formed Voldemort, an adult Voldemort that pops up from under a flip up trap door floor, Harry of course, Diggory (thankfully alive and not with a rotating head piece where he’s dead on the other side), the winged statue and a death eater. There’s also a tiny grey frog piece, a bone and some other cool Potter themed pieces. The set builds quite easily and the pop up Voldemort is pretty cool, but you do have to make sure his wand hand is backwards or his wand keeps the floor from shutting properly and not even a wizard as evil as Voldemort deserves to get his wand squished by a trap door.In all it’s a good kit with some highly desirable pieces, a little dark for some tastes and a very odd choice of scene for such a child centred company as Lego, but possibly a must for mature Harry Potter Lego fans out there.

This set represents a scene from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, it features four minifigures: Harry Potter, Lord Voldemort, a Death Eater, and Peter Pettigrew (Wormtail from the Marauders), there are also many little accessories which include a cauldron, Harry's blood, Peter's hand, a bone, a baby Voldemort, and the Triwizard cup. Although the Little Hangleton graveyard scenery is quite compact, it has plenty of details, such as the headstones and the Angel of Death statue complete with scythe, there's also a lever which raises Lord Voldemort from the ground, which adds to the interactive elements of the completed model. Set 75965 has 184 pieces, and whilst not the smallest of the 2019 boxed Lego Harry Potter,at £19.99 it does share the lowest price for an individual set, Expecto Patronum (75945) is the same price with only 121 pieces, so The Rise of Voldemort could be viewed as better value for money. Overall, a worthy addition to the Lego Wizarding World releases, and another nice little set for fans or collectors.

This Lego set has been created from probably the darkest and haunting scene in the whole Harry Potter series. It's an odd choice for a child's toy. But Lego has managed to recreated it to adhere to the wholesome and innocent Lego experience. However, it still retains some of its maleficent and sinister aura.Putting it together was rather time consuming but in Lego's case this is not a bad thing. The construction is a massive part of the fun. The instructions were very simple to follow, with step by step images at each stage of constructions detailing which pieces you require next. Also, there is a QR code on the front of the manual to download the building instructions to your Smartphone. It is really fun to play with too.It recreates the scene in order to be Lego friendly by He who must not be names rising up from from the earth. It is a great interaction. This is a really cool set that appeals to older children and adult collectors alike.

With four children and ten grandchildren I have witnessed the deep appeal of two highly successful products. First is Lego for widespread model building, and second is the Harry Potter phenomenon with its bestseller books and films. This kit for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire combines these two household name creations. The kit is based on the scenario where Voldemort rises in a graveyard and battles with Harry Potter trapped there by Peter Pettigrew. It includes the figures of Voldemort, Harry Potter and Peter Pettigrew together with a Death Eater and many accessories. I haven’t counted them but publicity blurb states there are 184 pieces, and some are a bit fiddly.I award a 4-star rating to what should be 5-star because the finished model is small and too fragile for anything like boisterous play. It is fine for display, but imaginative physical reactions are limited.

My kids and I had fun building this after I read Goblet of Fire to them. Fans of the movie will particularly appreciate details like the Grim Reaper next to the Tom Riddle headstone. The "baby" Voldemort piece (i.e., the shrunken husk of Voldemort that Pettigrew carries out) is a unique piece and—perhaps I shouldn't admit this—actually kind of cute! The attention to detail on the minifigures is fantastic, although I've always thought heads on figures, like Voldemort, that don't have hair or headgear should simply be rounded on top. Also, a Cedric Diggory minifgure should have been included. I know he's only in the scene briefly before he gets Kedavra-ed by Pettigrew, but his presence is key to the emotional arc of both GoF and subsequent books.

Nice to see a Goblet Of Fire based kit, and I was pleasantly surprised by the little details in this kit. I'm not really a fan of little kits but decided that for the sake of completeness I should just go ahead and get the Harry Potter ones. In the case of this one I am SO glad I did.Loads of little details from the book/film. I think my favourite has to be Peter Pettigrew's silver hand; an unexpected and wonderful touch. This was one of the first sets where the mini figures really improve the actual kit, to be honest it is all about the figures rather than the setting.Number Of Pieces: 184Approximate Price Per Piece: £0.11Build Time: 45 minutes

As expected from Lego, a high quality product based on the Harry Potter franchise. The sales blurb by Lego gives you a good understanding of what part of the story this product represents so I won’t bother to try and better that description. It is suffice to say that this is high-quality product and it needs an adult to assemble it. And once assembled my seven-year-old son found this very engaging as he is very ‘into’ the Harry Potter stories. Of course, this product has no tricks, gizmos or lights - it simply requires the child’s - or the adult’s imagination! High recommended.

I like this set because it comes with Voldemort for the first time since 2011! I like the baby Voldemort piece as well, it looks cute! I think it is cool that you can make Voldemort flip out of the ground, too! There are quite a few good parts to play with, such as trapping Harry with the Statue’s spear. There are a few cool details, like Wormtail’s gloved hand! I love the Triwizard Cup’s design, as well. One thing that would have made the set a bit better, is if it came with Cedric Diggory or another Death Eater. Thank you for reading my review. By Kiwi Lego Fan

This is a small set which is of great quality and features some great mini figures. The construction is easy enough for our 7yo, however it is sad to say that it really does not deliver.Voldemort is designed to popup out of the ground and this feature is really very weak. To get this to work his mini figure has to be stripped down and flat to even be able to fit without the trap staying open. (Unlike the pictures) we even found if used on a solid surface voldemort would popup as the set is not high enough for him to sit there correctly.I would not recommend.

I got given this set as a birthday present and it's a fun little set. Although quite simple & quick to build the scene allows for lots of imaginative play. It is also looks good when set up and displayed. The minifigures in this set are great with both Harry and Voldermort battles can be had. The exclusive Wormtail figure is a nice addition but the death eater is a little boring and looks a bit lost on it's own, 1 or 2 more would have been great. All in all a good set and great for any Harry Potter fans out there.

A small box of Lego with the popular Harry Potter theme.Great figures and their names (surely I am not the only person who has not seen any Harry Potter film). This is aged for 7+ who will find it easy enough to construct. Adults might just like to get involved in the construction too! Will make a very popular present for not only Harry Potter but Lego fans. This I think is a winner and the price is not too bad either.

Lego kits are normaly always high quality, Easy to put together, took me 30mins, some small parts and 2 stickers to apply so an adult might want to help. Perfect gift for harry potter fans or lego fans in general. Very little waste, some small plastic to hold the wands in place and a 3-4 smal plastic bags the rest is recycable, lego are getting better every year.

Wanted this set as soon as I saw it. For a relatively small set there is so much to it, with 4 figures and the tiny Voldemort soul figure which I haven’t seen before. I think this set is great particularly the pop up Voldemort feature, detail in the tombstone and the death eater figure .This is definitely well worth purchasing and adding to your collection.

14.4.2020

One of the less expensive Harry Potter sets on the market but filled with great detail and comes complete with several mini figures from the Wizarding World. Relive the scary moment when He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named makes his rather unwelcome return! A must for anyone building their Lego Potter collection.
