So, I'm 28 years old, and it's fair to say that I'm a pretty fanatical gamer. From tabletop wargaming, to blasting digitised enemies on my xbox, I dedicate a lot of time to the pursuit of playing games. Most recently, I've gotten really into Fantasy Flight's excellent range of board games - but there are two problems with these: 1) They often take 3-4 hours to play, and 2) they are too complex to be accessible to everyone.I was overjoyed, then, to discover in lego games a range of quick, easy to understand and fun games that I can play with pretty much anyone and in a short space of time. Kokoriko is the first Lego game that I have tried, and while it's clearly been designed as a game for young children,I've had enormous fun playing it with other adults. I'm going to go ahead and assume that kids will find it just as fun.I love the fact that the game involves constructing the game pieces before you begin. It adds an extra dimension to the joy of opening up a new game for the first time. The lego chickens were easy to build (well, for a 28-year-old anyway) and look really characterful. The rules of the game are simple and could be learned in minutes, but they still allow room for some strategic thinking. The rulebook encourages players to change rules or add new ones, and it's even possible to customise the lego die to facilitate this. I highly recommend this game as a quick and fun diversion for family and friends of all ages!

We bought this game on a whim (not from amazon), after having some of the other Lego games. My boys are 4 and 3. They absolutely LOVE this game! It is one of the few Lego games that we own that can be played with more than 4 players (would need two sets for many more though!). It says for two-four players but it would be flexible. You get to steal eggs off other players and Chickens, as well as take from the middle. The game can be fast and helps children with counting, attention and planning. My boys love to collect chickens but that doesn't always help them win and so they learn strategy too.Its a fun, simple and easy to play game with some variations that keep everyone interested. We've been playing it for about 6 months now and they still love it.Highly recommended :-)
