This is a very nice collection, which acts as a good playset once complete, with a tipper truck, mining machine, train, crane, working conveyor and a mine ore face. There is plenty to keep the industrious child entertained.On the build side, there are five discrete elements - the tipper truck, the mining machine, the mine with ore face, the train with track and the crane. Each has its own little challenges, but never anything that would stump a 7 year old.We have dismantled and rebuilt the three vehicles a couple of times already, but two parts of the mine, including crane, and the kind of thing you leave in its finished state.In terms of age range, it is very accessible to 4-5 year olds as long as they have assistance with building,

like all lego, this is amazing the way it all fits together to create the finished products. It looks really good and the instructions are clear concise and relitively easy to follow. The crane is the best bit of this set as it works and moves around. I have given 4 *s as it is a bit smaller than i thought it'd be and even after a few days some parts had fallen off and disappeared but then my son wants to play with it, if you bought it as a model that wouldnt happen.

paid less than £50 for this and got it next day via Prime.Bought as a good behaviour reward for my 4 year old boy.He absolutely loves LEGO and has been after this set for ages since he saw it in another LEGO instruction booklet.We built everything up over a couple of days and it has been taken apart and rebuilt many times since! Compared to a £10 box of LEGO i can definitely justify the price tag.Do you love LEGO? Then buy it now!

Very pleased with this set. This was my first time buying a used Lego set and I was worried about missing pieces or damaged instructions. The seller was very reassuring and explained that she always checks every piece etc. I was very pleased when everything arrived in great condition with the pieces bagged in numbered bags as per the original bags. Nothing was missing, nothing was confusing, it was as though I had bought it new.

Bought for my 7 year old grandsons birthday, he loves it, lots to make and play with,a reasonable size to fit on his lego city table, goes very well with the smaller mine set, whicha friend also bought, and pleased to say has completely different vehicles that complimentthe large mine set. Cranes, trains, lorries, opening mine doors, running belts evrything tokeep his interest for a very long time.

This set comes in the biggest lego box I've ever seen. My eight year old daughter loves this, she and I spent hours putting the thing together. I find it impossible to conveyor the excitement, I'd certainly pick (axe) this set for a friend. You can't just shove(l) it together, you have to crane your eyes to drill down through the deep strata of instructions if you want to strike gold... etc ...

My son loves this, even I love it!!I would suggest buying two grey lego base boards in addition to secure the set to. We found that one you start to move it, it easily breaks up. But once we secured it to the boards it was a lot more stable, and my son was able to secure other lego build sets to it to make an even bigger mind set.Would highly recommend.

I brought this for my son for Christmas as he loves Lego. He couldn't wait to build it (he is 6) and was able to build the whole thing without any help and was really pleased with the end result. He plays with this set eveyday. Although its expensive, its worth it for the amount of parts to it, the detail and the amount of time my son plays with it.

I bought this for my Lego mad 8 year old son - he voted it the best of all the Lego he has! As always, he loved assembling it and the play value really is excellent - the vehicles are properly functional (especially the crane) the conveyor belt moves, the train has its own track. Brilliant. And the price was great too.

My grandson who is an avid Lego builder was really pleased to get this for his 10th birthday. Like all the Lego city sets it is really detailed and provides potential for many hours of play after it has been built with all the moving components and figures.It arrived exactly when Amazon said it would.

i BOUGHT THIS AS A GIFT FOR MY SIX YEAR OLD GRANDSON FOR CHRISTMAS. iT HAS BEEN PLAYED WITH ENDLESSLY AND PROVED SUCCESSFUL AT KEEPING A VERY ACTIVE CHILD BUSY AND THOUGHTFUL. MUM HOWEVER, WOULD LIKE THE USE OF THE DINING TABLE BACK! VERY GOOD PRICE, HAVE NOT SEEN IT CHEAPER ANYWHERE ELSE!

Great fun to bild and play. The set is divided into several submodells so it is easy to make the fun last for at least a cupple of days. I bought this for my oldest son and this is actually one of very few modells he has'nt felt the need to rebuild or imrove. he stil likes it as it is :-)

Made my 6year very happy all Xmas long. He is a hige lego fan and this toy took pride of place all Xmas. Has since lost some shine as I guess the options for play more limited than Police/Fire etc. Still the usual Lego quality/price. Shame train track so short and not in a loop.

Bought thus for my son who had seen it was a mine and a crane and he loves anything that looks like a building site. Fantastic set, some great features especially the green truck. Myself and my 8 year old made the set but then my 4 year old has played with it for hours on end!

i feel that lego gets mor expensive each year and the sets contain fewer items. when i compare this set to the police station we bought our grandson two years ago it is much smaller and much the same sort of price. even so, great fun was had by all as it was being built.
