This ferry is an excellent, realistic and somewhat unique addition to the City range where we routinely get police and fire department sets. So it's one of the few City sets that actually caught my interest. It's brilliant in its simplicity and the finished model looks attractive. The car that comes with its is fairly ordinary though. And perhaps the other thing to note is that the ferry is pretty quickly filled; perhaps you can fit 3 small cars on or a car and a truck but that's about it.Our 4 year old son was able to build the set on his own which is great for kids, but does imply that the building process is nothing extraordinary.The ferry has hatches on both sides that can be opened so its offers good play-value for most children that are likely to have a few Lego cars hanging around.And no, in response to some of the questions posted in relation to this set; it won't float as it simply doesn't have a hull, its bottom consists of flat plates to facilitate playability.We recently developed a Ninjago fascination and the ferry mixes well with our little Ninjago city display. But it is also of great use when combined with our trainsets or collection of modular houses.

I haven’t been on a ferry like this for a few years, but this toy brings it all back and children seem to love playing with it, both boys and girls. The build for this is relatively easy, although very young children may need a little help, even if it is only lining up the stickers.You get the ferry with its roll on roll off ramps so that vehicles can be boarded easily, and in fact to help you with vehicles you even get a lady and her car to start you off. The lady even comes with a mobile phone so that she can stay in touch with friends, and if she had glasses on would look very much like someone I know. There is a captain for the ferry here, who even has a mug,after all ferrying cars and people all day can be thirsty work. Hopefully he won’t feel this up with rum.There are things like some seats and lifebuoys as well as lights that come with this build that add a bit of function and reality, so this feels like one of those basic ferries such as run on Lake Windermere. This will hold the car you get with it plus one other if you so wish, as well as pedestrians.In all a fun set that can really get the imagination going and that offers hours and hours of play.

This is a great little Lego Ro-Ro ferry and it comes with a little topless car, the build was simple and shouldn't take more than 1 hr to build. . Minifigs are great and are unique to this set.The set loses a star for 2 reasons:1. The stickers that need to be applied to the areas near to the loading ramps are large and very fiddly, if you want to apply the stickers with any degree of accuracy it's going to take a few goes.2. The car is VERY simple, with a few extra pieces they could have added a roof or made it a bit larger.Overall it's a great set for the price, there's a lot included and it has great play value.

This is a nice basic city set, that thankfully is not a Fire or Police Vehicle! (It is nice to see Lego doing the Harbour sets after years of Emergency Service sets.) It is complicated enough to challenge a child and it will satisfy any Adult Lego fan..(we do exist!)The set itself comes with two minifigs, but I would prefer it if Lego came up with a different Woman's outfit as this is now the third set with the grey jacket torso. The Captain fig is very nice though and a new one for me.All in all, this will amuse any Lego fan, regardless of age, and makes a nice addition to any City collection.

A bit simple compared to some of the other models I've picked up for my son, but same old amazing Lego quality.. The one toy-brand you can never go wrong with.The disconcerting thing for me is the extent to which Lego are going to generate 'specialized' pieces; and veering away from the standard bricks. Is this their new strategy?

Kept my son occupied for a good 3 hours when I was busy and he was annoying his sisters! The trickiest Lego set he's built yet but he was able to do it and just needed assistance when he realised he'd gone slightly wrong. Good size set and sturdy.

I bought this for my nephew. He has many Lego sets, but this one will be the first that reflects my line of work.Thank you Amazon UK customer service and Martin from Vintage Sets 4 U for insuring my package was correctly delivered.

A nice set that gives a big model to play with.Kids can drive the car on and off the boat :-) Oh and that ghost busters car fits on it.
