I love the aesthetic of the new Mars Exploration sets. The focus being on exploration and discovery instead of combat gives this line a charm that separates it from most of the other space themes of the last decade or so. I've bought three so far (with a fourth on the way) and so far the Rover Testing Drive is my favorite. The smooth, streamlined aesthetic looks great on space shuttles and the like, and you'd think it wouldn't work as well on a rough-and-tumble ground vehicle. However, the rover winds up with its own distinct look that stands apart from the other sets in the line but still fits perfectly into the overall aesthetic. And the smaller additions (the geode, storage container, etc.)

I am 10 years old lego fan. I have a large collection of lego sets. One thing I have to tell you that on this set the age is written as 5+ but on your website account is allowed only above 14 years this is confusion for me. All the things in this set are very good. In my collection, this is my most favorite set. I like it so much. The main thing I love in this set is the space car. Thank you for creating these sets for us.

In this set, a technician and an astronaut are evaluating a potential Mars Rover to carry people around on the Red Planet. If you liked the movie "The Martian," this set harkens to those scenes of the rover saving the astronaut. Only drawback is that you have to remove the entire canopy to put the astronaut inside, and it only fits one person. What you see is what you get - essential transportation on Mars.

A fun set with quite a few positives. The buggy is built well and the crane works really well and has 360 degrees reach. You get a couple of mini figures and some nice extras like tools, rock samples etc. My main gripe about this set is the wheels of the buggy. They’re hard plastic wheels and look and feel a bit cheap. Would have scored higher had the wheels have had proper tyres.

Another great set from Lego which really fired my 6 year old's imagination. He was able to build it happily without any adult help too. The geode is a nice touch which my son really liked.The one minor drawback is that the plastic wheels don't grip on plastic surfaces (such as lego base plates) at which point the wheels don't turn.

My 4 year old son has recently decided he wants to be an astronaut. This Lego rover is a great build and the mechanical arm is a great feature. He loves playing with this and the additional bits. It’s an easy build so great for young kids and very rewarding. I would recommend this set.

Mr Random and Master Random spent a few happy hours building this space toy. It was the first time Mr Random had ever played with Lego, despite his advanced age. I cannot see how much this set is retailing for on Amazon, but I'd imagine that it offers great value.

Bought this for my grandson on his fifth birthday. He loves his Lego and loved this present, although he needed a little help from his dad to put it together, but at a young age I should think with most of these kits that would be so unless they had the Duplo.

Good set overall but there is 1 problem with it and that is on the box the rover window thing looks like the thing is white but really it is blueish gray (see pictures below to see what I mean)

My child (4 years) does love Legos'. And this arm was the best thing! He have been playing with it one week and continues playing.Value for money was great in my opinion.

As always lego doesn't disappoint, this is a great set, goes well with the other space themed lego sets. Hours of fun made up of both building it and then playing with it.

Great fun well made and as an adult Lego is just as much fun to me at 56yr old as it was when I was 10. Lego NEVER gets boring the things you can build nowadays is amazing

Brilliant set, great build but 6 year old is in love with the new space stuff. He really enjoyed building this one and playing with it after.

A great addition to any Lego City sets- can be used as a multi-terrain vehicle too if the Mission to Mars doesn’t grab you.
