Beneath its premise of building and learning, Lego has shifted over the last couple of decades. Proof of which can be found, especially, in this Jungle Cargo Helicopter set - because the balance feels tipped in favour of creating a toy to then play with. I say this because the range and breadth of special pieces involved with Lego now, make for intricate designs, often (it felt to me) putting the end result first. Which, I guess, is my way of saying this is quite a technical build. That said, it's not a 2 minute rip-off; far from it. And, for the money, it will certainly give children plenty to think about.The City range does make a point of advertising its age range (6-12),

It's kind of nice to check out a Lego kit that isn't related to a licensed product like Star Wars or Minecraft etc. It feels like there's more room for the imagination with a more generic set of pieces. Sure, there's a bit of a scenario with the jungle retrieval, but you could build a lot of cool stories around that.You get a helicopter, a buggy, two minifigures and a little piece of jungle set dressing. The vehicles are super cool and lend themselves nicely to adding moving parts to other projects: wheels and rotors add a lot of fun and possibilities. The helicopter comes with a nice little winch mechanism for lifting the buggy or whatever else you fancy.The kit was easy to build with my 8yr

I'm not sure what the scenario of this set is supposed to be (other than your imagination). They seem to be going for a sort of Indiana Jones feel with this Jungle sub-theme (though there are already Lego Indiana Jones sets). Nothing in this sub-theme yet comes with a base plate, so if your keen on expanding your own Jungle world then you'll have to have to get creative. The chopper and buggy can be integrated into a City world too if you can't find enough out there to build a jungle of your own. I think that a little more context and more solid sets to share with this one might have made it a little more exciting. As it is, the Jungle sub-theme is currently a bit too thin. Otherwise,

A great little offering from Lego at the less expensive end of their price range. For the purchase price you get an interesting City set that includes 2x vehicles, 2x Minifigures & "scenery"The heavy lift style helicopter is a fun build with the inclusion of a winch mechanism & the ATV / Quad bike fits well alongside. The theme / scenario being offered is open to interpretation .. but that's the fun with Lego .. it can be what, where and how you want it to be.Can't be faulted for as an addition to existing sets or as a 1st time set .. a nice break from franchised sets that sits well amongst the big boy sets.

This cool little Jungle Theme set adds to the bigger sets to make them more dynamic or can be played with on it's own. The Helicopter has spinning rotors, a working winch and can lift either the toolbox, the buggy or both. The old ruins have a treasure hidden in them but beware the jumping spider! This set contains 201 pieces in two bags, 2 manuals and a sheet of stickers. It was a good build and used a bit of Technic for the helicopters landing gear. Good fun!

This is a nice and simple set. The Jungle Helicopter is nicely detailed. It has a nice simple winch to lift the car or any other toy. The mini-figures are great. They have good detail and fit in with the City theme.This is a very easy build and any 6 year old can build this easily with little help or assistance. My son likes it and it fits in with the rest of the City Jungle Lego.Overall, great price and lovely colour scheme.

Although part of a collection, being vehicles you don't need to have the rest in order to get playability from this set. You do get some Indiana Jones style jungle explorer temple accessories but the vehicles play just as well on their own or with other City and car based Lego. A decent build and a good play.

This is the the starter set in a new Jungle set, containing the cutest little quad which fits under the helicopter in an entirely clever way, which we haven't seen before in any other Lego sets.Other parts are available in the new Jungle range and they would all make an amazing gift for any Lego fan.

Plenty of kit for your money which is great. The individual bits can obviously be used with any other Lego set. My six year old loves the quad and helicopter (nearly as much as my husband!!) They have been coming up with games and story times involving just these pieces and having lots of fun.

I've a 7 yr old son who is a lego nut. He managed to put all this together himself (including the winch bit). The jungle theme seems a bit bizarre to me, but I'm not a 7 year old - the boy loves it and has played for ages. Much rather he was messing with this stuff than the ipad.

I bought this Lego set for my Grandsons Birthday. He has had great fun finding the bits & making it. The parts are strong & easy to fit together,it's taught him how to read a plan in order to make his model .

Bought to expand my son's jungle explorers Lego collection. The helicopter has a working winch and a nice little quad. Happy with the price and contents. Relatively easy build for a 6 year old.

Super fast delivery. Can't review actual product as it's a Christmas present but it's lego so it will be ace and well received by my 9 year old
