As a small boy my parents bought me so much Lego, it is frightening to think how much they spent. The bricks and shapes I could create kept me fascinated for hours. I remember my finest "creation" was built from a box of "Technical" lego and it was a motorised crane. I still have it all in a great big Lego floor bag. Sadly the instructions to build the crane has gone, but it does not stop the next generations from using their imaginations and creativity to build things from the innocent looking bricks. When Vine offers Lego sets I, of course, grab them, but nowadays, I ensure they are not mixed up with the general bag and the boxes and instructions are kept. I'm really impressed with this Lego set featuring a fire plane, a buggy, a couple of trees, blocks to represent fire and water and, oh, a skunk!The different elements of the set come disassembled in individual bags which makes their construction a bit easier. There are also very detailed assembly instructions. Nonetheless the kit will be challenging for a six-year-old, the minimum recommended age. I guess the kit would take even an adult around a hour to construct.Once constructed the play opportunities are almost endless - this is a two in one product, construction, and then play with the plane, characters and more.Attention to detail is brilliant. This has been very carefully though out.

There are three separate 'projects' in here - a fire-fighting car, with a small launcher that can fire blue 'water' pellets a short distance. A small forest fire - with trees, flame-shaped Lego fires, a fire-fighter and a skunk. An aircraft that can drop blue 'water' bombs.The fun with this is that three kids can assemble at the same time and each has a different level of difficulty.The entire set has about 94 steps in the three manuals. As a reasonably proficient adult, it took about 90 minutes to fully assemble - so should keeps the kids quiet for a while.Excellent toy and great value.

Yet again Lego have a piece of kit which will look well with any of the rest of your Lego sets or, if this is your first set, then it is the perfect starting point.The plane is really great and hasthe ability to drop the "water bombs". The jeep is simple to put together but looks really good and the water canon is a nice addition. This set comes with three figures which is nice and a skunk.The trees and the "fires" are nice to have dotted about.Overall there will be hours of fun to be had with this and if this is your first Lego set I think this will give you the bug to buy more.

As always this Lego kit is really great - has kept a 10year old busy over a couple of days.It says for 6+ but it is not babyish.Very topical - lots of stories to make up!Once made up there are lots of things to do - you fill up the plane with blue plastic "water" pieces and the fly the over flames. Then flick a switch to drop the water onto the flames to try and knock them over - plus there is a nice water gun on the ground vehicle.There is a little skunk which slides down a tree - to get away from the fire!

Got this for a young nephew, so I haven't opened or built it myself. Looks fun. But Lego has certainly changed a lot since I were a lad. It's also quite expensive (at approx £35 at the time of posting my review). The twin-engined plane looks like the best part of this, to my eyes. But you also get numerous other bits, with figures, a buggy, trees, etc. There's a slightly odd eco-doom aura, what with the forest fires theme, designed to educate and depress the bairn's whilst they enjoy building, perhaps?

Being stuck in with lockdown has been hard enough along with my child who suffers with asd who us struggling so much more. He loves Lego and counted down the days until this one arrived. He loved it and found it quite easy to build. He is 7. He loved the plane and the fact that he could set it up to play with the plane and fly it about. Great value product as always from Lego.

Fun and engaging set. Easy to follow instructions and standard expected LEGO quality. This is part of the City series, which reminds me more of the classic LEGO series of my youth, so happily joined in with the lad building this and had plenty of fun! Sadly quite quick to build, but that's the benefit of being an adult!

As reviewed by an 8-year-old and 11-year-old:"I really liked lego city forest fire set; it's full of action & fun. The skunk is so cool! We really liked how on the plane you pulled the lego lever down and all the water pieces come out"Definitely a hit! The level of detail is great and we enjoyed it all together.

This was bought as a birthday present for our Grandson for his 7th birthday this coming April. So as yet he has not seen it but as he is a Lego enthusiast he will have hours of fun with it. He always finds these easy to assemble. This was a good price & will add to his large collection of Lego models.

Great value set. My son wanted to spend some of his birthday money over the Easter break and he chose this set very wisely. The plane is huge with great fun features. It was enjoyable to watch him build it and he has got lots of play time out of it since.

I buy the fire engine airplane for my 5 years old son and he love it, he is so crazy about lego and this airplane he found it very easy to build. The lego come exactly like in the picture and very valuable for money.Definitely recommend it!!!

What a great set. The plane is so good. Nice touches with the flames on the trees. Topical with the current wildfires across the globe. Goes well with other kits, such as the mountain rescue and emergency services. Superb play value.

This kit was acquired with a number of other fire related city kits. This kit was simple; direct and easy to assemble...no real trouble spots in the directions or assembly. I would recommend this to builders of almost all ages.
