We, as grandparents, have learnt that when it says 5 to 12 years old it is not fun for a five year old. The instruction booklet provided quite a fun learning experience for all three of us and the whole thing looked terrific when it was finished. However a little boy of five years wanted to show it off and grandparents shouldn't get precious when it falls to pieces. Next time we will get a random pack of lego with a pack of wheels and windows and relax.

My eight year old son loved this. Of course, Lego could market bricks to make a wall and it would still be the most amazing thing to anyone who has a pulse. The great white shark is inspired. Perhaps Lego could do a Jaws themed Orca kit. You can make the Robert Shaw character with half a lego man and a shark.

This order came through very quickly indeed and was well packaged - somebody obviouslt thought about possible damage during transportation because the box it arrived in was well padded out with air pouches. A Very impressive service.

Bought for my 6 year old boys' birthday & he loves it. He built it completly by himself & it's a decent size. The only disapointing thing is the that the mechanism for the hoist only works occasionally, otherwise excellent.

My Grandson absolutely loved this he is only 5 but he and Grandad made a start a few days after his birthday. The item was promptly posted and arrived in plenty of time for his birthday.

A Fantastic Lego City set. My 8 year old son really enjoyed making this. Brilliant buy, Helicopter with working winch, 4 figures, catamaran, and a white shark. Buy Buy Buy !!!!

A Christmas gift for an older grandson who is into both helicopters and lego. I'm sure he will love it and it should take quite a while to construct so will keep Mum happy.

Bought this for our grandson who spends many hours building Lego sets, very impressed with finished article, he was thrilled that the boat actually floats!

this hasnt been out the box yet as its an xmas present, as i find again and again with toys amazon is always cheaper!!! well worth the money i paid

Gave this to one of our grandchildren for his birthday. Sent it direct so we have yet to see it. However he appears to be delighted with it.

This went down very well with my grandson as it went with all the rest of the City Coast Guard pieces that he already has. Just the best.
